MILLER — Mobridge-Pollock’s Heidi Olson and Northwestern’s Lincoln Woodring won the individual awards at the Miller Invitational on Monday.

Olson won the girls 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:50.95, ahead of second-place finisher Dannika Kaup of Potter County (19:13.62). Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide (19:19.93) and James Valley Christian’s Abby Hasart (20:23.50) finished third and fourth, while Potter County’s Jadyn Ahlemeier (20:27.31) rounded out the top-five.

Potter County captured the team title with a score of 21, ahead of James Valley Christian (37).

Woodring captured the boys 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:43.95. Philip’s Wakely Burns (16:51.81) and Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter (17:04.51) finished second and third, while Philip’s Trey Larson (17:08.00) and Miller’s Pierce Baumberger (17:09.98) rounded out the top-five finishers.

Philip took home the team title with a score of 31, ahead of Miller (51), Northwestern (56), and Highmore-Harrold (91).
