A week ago the Brandon Valley Lynx had a 39-point lead in the Class A team wrestling poll. This week that lead has extended to 70 points as the Lynx are projected to score 230 at the state meet with Rapid City Stevens expected to score 160. 

Brandon Valley’s Trason Oehme is your new No. 1 at (132). Harrisburg’s Ryan Hirschkorn dropped from (195) to (182) this week and assumed the No. 1 ranking in that weight class. Spearfish athlete Oakley Blakeman (145) took over the top ranking in his weight class. 

Wrestler of the Week (WOW) - Clayton Donovan, Spearfish

A huge win for Spearfish athlete Clayton Donovan Saturday at the Black Hills Wrestling Classic. Donovan, 34-4 on the season, beat Class B’s No. 1 ranked McCoy Peterson (Philip - 152) in that tournament. Donovan is now ranked No. 2 in his weight class and moves up to No. 11 in this week’s Dynamite Dozen.
