McCook Central/Montrose 3, Madison 2 

MONTROSE — McCook Central/Montrose outlasted Madison in a five-set Region 3A high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23 and 16-14. MCM will play Baltic in the next round on Thursday.

Wagner 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 0

WAGNER — Class A No. 4 Wagner swept Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in Region 5A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-2 and 25-11. Wagner will host Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Thursday. 

Wagner’s Emma Yost finished with 10 kills and 17 digs, while Shalayne Nagel added nine kills and six blocks. Shona Kocer and Avari Bruguier posted six kills apiece. Kocer added six blocks. Bruguier and Macy Koupal had 11 digs apiece. Koupal logged 27 assists and four aces. Madi Knebel finished with two aces. 

SCW’s Kam Ochsner and Lizzie Boschee finished with five kills apiece. Boschee added two blocks. Ochsner and Bella Fry finished with seven digs. Kenlie Fridley and Bailey Feistner had seven and five assists, respectively. 


Burke 3, Corsica-Stickney 0

BURKE — Class B No. 2 Burke swept Corsica-Stickney in Region 5B volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-13, 25-13 and 25.14. Burke will host Gregory on Thursday. 

Adisyn Indahl led Burke with 12 kills, 15 digs, three assists and six aces. Kailee Frank tallied 14 kills and six digs. Elly Witt finished with 13 assists, four digs, two aces and one block. Paige Bull had nine kills and five blocks. 

Sutten Eide led Corsica-Stickney with 14 assists, two kills, three digs, an ace and 1.5 blocks. Payton Delange had 11 digs and two kills while Jacey Kemp had six kills and five digs. Carli Vanden Hoek finished with five digs and an ace for Corsica-Stickney.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, Parkston 0

WAGNER — Mount Vernon/Plankinton swept Parkston in straight sets in Region 5A volleyball play on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-24 and 25-23. MVP will play at Wagner on Thursday. 

MVP’s Reagan Rus finished with 17 kills and 20 digs. Cally Faulhaber had a block, while Vanessa Hoffman dished out 24 assists. 

Parkston’s Mya Nuebel finished with 14 kills, while Gracie Oakley added seven kills. Faith Oakley logged 22 assists, 19 digs and one ace. Kiauna Hargens had an ace. Lauren Ziebart recorded 18 digs. 

 



Platte-Geddes 3, Hanson 0

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes swept Hanson in Region 5A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-13 and 25-16. Platte-Geddes will play Kimball/White Lake on Thursday in the next round. 

Platte-Geddes’ Regan Hoffman finished with nine kills, 10 digs, three aces and notched her 2,000th career dig in the win. Karly VanDerWerff added 13 kills, eight digs, two aces and two blocks. Cadence VanZee finished with seven kills, 10 digs and five aces. Baleigh Nachtigal logged four kills, five assists, nine digs and three aces. Avery DeVries posted 29 assists, nine digs, one kill, one ace and one block. Hadley Hanson finished with 12 digs, while Emerson Ringling posted three kills. 

Hanson’s Taziah Hawkins finished with four kills. Annalyse Weber added two kills and four digs. Jalyn Kampshoff had two kills, nine assists, three digs and one ace. Jersey Kampshoff and Claire Bridge logged four digs apiece. Kiana Berg finished with two blocks. Kylie Haiar had two kills, while Cadence Jarding finished with three digs. 


Northwestern 3, Wilmot 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 4 Northwestern swept Wilmot in Region 1B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-4, 25-10, and 25-3. Northwestern will play Hitchcock-Tulare in the next round.

Northwestern’s Ella Haven led with 30 kills, while Ella Boekelheide led with eight digs. Ashley Haven had nine aces, while Brooklinn Halvorson tallied 30 assists and seven aces. Tara Blachford recorded five digs and four aces, while Payton Grandpre added seven digs.

Wilmot’s Paige Johnson had three kills, while Ashlyn Ebben had two kills, two aces, and one block. Mia Foss had nine digs, while Kayla Hamman added eight digs and one block.


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Colome 0

ARMOUR — Tripp-Delmont/Armour swept Colome in Region 5B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-8, 25-17, and 25-13. Tripp-Delmont/Armour will play Wessington Springs in the next round.

TDA’s Megan Reiner recorded 15 kills and 15 digs, while Gracey Schatz had seven kills, 10 digs, and four aces. Hannah Stremick tallied 19 assists, 11 digs, and three aces, while Callie Westerndorf had 12 digs. Faith Goehring had nine digs, while Morgan Gemar and Mia Reiner each had six digs.

Colome stats were not reported.


Wessington Springs 3, Avon 0

ARMOUR — Wessington Springs swept Avon in Region 5B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 26-24, and 25-18. Wessington Springs will play Tripp-Delmont/Armour in the next round.

Wessington Springs was led by Avery Orth with 16 kills, 14 digs, and four blocks, while Sarah Poncelow had four kills, two digs, and two blocks. Alyssa Grohs tallied 27 assists and six digs, while Raylee Fagerhaug had 18 digs. Ashlyn Weber added 12 digs.

Avon’s Courtney Sees finished with 14 kills and 17 digs, while McKenna Kochmich tallied 17 assists, 16 digs, and two aces. Macy Voigt and Lila Vanderlei had 10 and nine digs, respectively, while Lexi Vanderlei and Sarah Swier added eight and seven digs.


Freeman 3, Irene-Wakonda 0

FREEMAN — Freeman swept Irene-Wakonda in Region 4B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-11, and 25-12. Freeman will play Scotland in the next round.

Freeman’s Kate Miller tallied 15 kills and nine digs, while Zenovia Butler recorded 10 kills, six digs, and four aces. Erin Uecker had nine kills, 10 digs, two aces, and two blocks, while Ashlin Jacobsen had 15 digs and three aces. Cami Fransen added 34 assists and eight digs.

Irene-Wakonda’s Zoey Anderson led with seven kills. Madison Orr had six kills and nine digs, while Emma Marshall had four kills and six digs. Emerson Flynn had nine assists and six digs, while Quinn McDonald had 14 digs. Quincey Flynn added eight digs.


Wolsey-Wessington 3, Iroquois-Lake Preston 0 

WOLSEY — Class B No. 5 Wolsey-Wessington swept Iroquois-Lake Preston in Region 2B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-18 and 25-9. The Warbirds will play Oldham-Ramona/Rutland in the next round on Thursday. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Leah Williams recorded 10 kills, while Mya Boomsma posted seven kills, 10 digs and three aces. Taylor Horn posted 21 assists. Lainey Uttecht finished with 11 digs and two aces. Emree White added two aces. Mallory Miller and Kailynn Dorris finished with six and five blocks, respectively. 

Iroquois-Lake Preston’s Adison Moore, Hadlee Holt and Ava Malone finished with four kills apiece. Rebecca Bich and Trinity Pirlet had seven and five assists, respectively. Moore logged 12 digs, while Malone had seven digs. Faith Steffensen posted five digs. Holt and Anna Decker added three and two blocks, respectively. 

 



Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 3, Deubrook Area 1

WOLSEY — Oldham-Ramona/Rutland earned a four-set Region 2B volleyball win over Deubrook Area on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-17, 19-25, and 25-20. Oldham-Ramona/Rutland will play Wolsey-Wessington in the next round on Thursday.

ORR’s Julia Trygstad led with 30 kills, while Bailey Hyland tallied nine kills and 23 digs. Alivia Bickett recorded 18 digs and two aces, while Paige Hanson and Brooklyn Hageman added 30 and 18 assists, respectively.

Deubrook Area’s Miranda Moravetz led with nine kills and 20 digs, while Brooke Koppatschek had six kills and three aces. Zoey Molengraaf tallied five kills and two blocks, while Delaney Pedersen finished with 21 digs. Ellie Koenig added 21 digs and 10 assists.


Chester Area 3, Bridgewater-Emery 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 3 Chester Area swept Bridgewater-Emery in Region 3B volleyball action Tuesday. The set scores were 25-10, 25-16 and 25-16. Chester Area plays Dell Rapids St. Mary in the next round. 

Serena Larson and Lily Van Hal both tallied 13 kills for Chester Area. Jacy Wolf led the offense with 22 assists while Emery Larson had 17 kills for the Flyers. 

Oakley Weber led Bridgewater-Emery with six kills. Hayden Hofer finished with eight assists and 12 digs while Maizey Strombeck led the team with two aces. 

 


Ethan 3, Howard 1

COLMAN — Ethan picked up a four-set Region 3B volleyball win over Howard on Tuesday. The set scores were 18-25, 25-22, 25-14, and 25-22. Ethan will play Colman-Egan in the next round.

Ethan’s Ava Lingemann tallied 18 kills and 22 digs, while Marissa Storm had eight kills, 30 digs, seven aces, and three blocks. Rachel Klock had six kills, while Claire Mellegaard finished with 17 digs and two aces. Aubrie Biteler added 30 assists.

Howard’s Kate Connor recorded 20 kills, while Piper Thompson had nine kills and 21 digs. Landree Callies tallied nine kills and 13 digs, while Canyon Kidd had 15 digs. Rylee Rudebusch added 41 assists.


Colman-Egan 3, Canistota 0

COLMAN — Colman-Egan swept Canistota in Region 3B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-20, and 25-20. Colman-Egan will play Ethan in the next round on Thursday.

CE’s Berkley Groos led with eight kills, nine digs, and two aces, while Elaina Rhode had five kills. Daniela Lee had five kills, seven digs, and six blocks, while Lanie Mousel had 14 digs. Kaylee Voelker had 13 digs, while Abby Rhode added four blocks.

Canistota’s Sierra McGregor tallied 11 kills and two blocks, while Taylor McGregor had nine kills. Natalee Hofer had four kills and eight assists, while Bailey Spicer had 19 assists and two aces. Natalie Becker had 19 digs, while Kayla Papendick added 11 digs and four kills.


Viborg-Hurley 3, Centerville 0

VIBORG — Viborg-Hurley swept Centerville in Region 4B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-8, and 25-8. Viborg-Hurley will play Gayville-Volin in the next round.

Viborg-Hurley’s Coral Mason led with 19 kills and 15 digs, while Denae Mach tallied nine kills and nine digs. Charley Nelson and Jenna Graves had 22 and 11 digs, respectively, while Mataya Vannorsdel added 31 assists.

Centerville’s Thea Gust had seven kills and six digs, while Lillie Eide and Rylie Tieman each had three kills. Bailey Hansen had four kills and nine digs, while Macey Hostetler added 15 assists and nine digs.


Scotland 3, Alcester-Hudson 2

SCOTLAND — Scotland defeated Alcester-Hudson in a thrilling 5-set match in the Region 4B playoffs. Set scores were 25-22, 22-25, 20-25, 25-21 and 15-11. Scotland plays Freeman in the next round. 

Martina DeBoer had 10 kills and four blocks and 28 digs to lead the Highlanders. Claire Janish finished with three aces while Kalley Vitek led the offense with 12 assists. Jerica Stark had five blocks to lead Scotland in that category. 

Alcester-Hudson’s Ella Serck led with 45 assists and 24 digs. Elly Doering finished with 18 kills and two blocks for the Cubs while Hannah Ahart had four aces.


Sioux Falls Christian 3, West Central 0

SIOUX FALLS - Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian swept West Central in Region 3A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-10, 25-14 and 25-11. Sioux Falls Christian plays Garretson in the next round. 

Ellie Lems led Sioux Falls Christian with 13 kills, four aces, two blocks and six digs. Addison Barber tallied 31 assists, five aces, seven kills and five digs. Sidney Oostra had 11 kills, six digs and two aces for the Chargers. 

West Central’s Jocelyn Nilson led with 16 kills while Josephine Dinges had one block. Addison Meadors led West Central with three kills. 


Hamlin 3, Clark/Willow Lake 0

HAMLIN — Hamlin swept Clark/Willow Lake in Region 2A volleyball action on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-12, 25-16 and 25-21. Hamlin will host Flandreau on Thursday in the Region 2A semifinals. 

Kami Wadsworth orchestrated the offense with 46 assists to go along with a solo block and an assisted block. Ally Abraham led the attack with 19 kills while Gracelyn Leiseth added 13 kills. Addie Neuendor had three aces and 10 kills while Ava Prouty and Gracie Opdahl each had 12 kills.

Individual stats were not reported for Clark/Willow Lake. 


Arlington 3, James Valley Christian 0

CASTLEWOOD — Arlington swept James Valley Christian in Region 2B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-21 and 25-18. Arlington plays Castlewood in the next round. 

Harley Johnson led Arlington with 23 digs, 11 kills and three aces. Addie Steffenson contributed 13 kills and one block. Tanaya Weiss had 34 assists, 17 digs and a block for the Cardinals.

No stats were reported for James Valley Christian. 


Redfield 3, Sisseton 0

REDFIELD — Redfield swept Sisseton in Region 1A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-16 and 25-17. Redfield plays Milbank in the next round. 

Redfield’s Gracie Fast had 11 kills and one block, while Katie Rozell had nine kills. Camryn Rohlfs had 25 assists, while Chloe Zens had 19 digs. Mallory Smith added five aces.

No stats were reported for Sisseton. 


Miller 3, Crow Creek 0

MILLER — Miller swept Crow Creek in Region 6A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-3 and 25-4. Miller will play Dupree in the next round. 

Miller’s Aleah Schlechter led with 10 kills while Jaden Werdel and Ally Mullaney each had nine kills. Abbi Blake had 12 aces for the Rustlers while Tyra Gates led with 33 assists. Jolie Palmer led the defense with 11 digs. 

No stats were reported for Crow Creek.


Mobridge-Pollock 3, McLaughlin 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept McLaughlin in Region 6A volleyball action. The set scores were 25-6, 25-8, and 25-11. Mobridge-Pollock will play Stanley County in the next round.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson led with 10 kills and two aces, while Mariah Goehring and Emily Hatzenbuehler each had six kills. Reagan Weisbeck had seven digs, while Emma Keller added six aces and 22 assists. Gretchen Olson added four aces.

McLaughlin stats were not reported.


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Great Plains Lutheran 0

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton swept Great Plains Luthern in Region 2A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-15 and 25-6. Elkton-Lake Benton takes on Sioux Valley in the next round. 

Rachel Krog led with 12 kills and nine digs. Tevan Erickson finished with 30 assists, nine digs and two aces and nine digs. Kailyn Drietz finished with eight kills and seven digs while Kylie Ramlo had eight kills and seven digs. 

Olivia Holmen and Lanaya Hayes each had three kills for Great Plains Lutheran with Hayes also having two blocks. Kyrie Roberts tallied six assists and seven digs. Grace Powers led the defense with 11 digs.


Sioux Valley 3, Estelline-Hendricks 0

ELKTON — Sioux Valley swept Estelline-Hendricks in Region 2A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-16 and 25-19. Sioux Valley will play Elkton-Lake Benton in the next round on Thursday. 

Sioux Valley’s Kaedyn Sapp finished with nine kills and 14 digs. Adison Renkly and Landree Wilson posted eight and six kills, respectively. Wilson and Renkly added two blocks apiece. Sapp and Wilson posted 14 digs apiece. Wilson finished with two aces. Sydney Hesby had five aces. Ashley Bjerke dished out 23 assists. 

Estelline-Hendricks’ Kenzy Beare finished with one block, 10 kills and 11 digs. Claire Dagel added four kills and one block. Sadie Johnson posted 16 assists and two aces. Brooke Johnson had three assists. Heidi Nicola and Brooke Johnson had four kills apiece. Nicola added six digs and Julie Williams posted eight digs. 


Dakota Valley 3, Parker 0

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley swept Parker in Region 4A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-7, 25-9, and 25-7. Dakota Valley will play Tea Area in the next round.

Dakota Valley’s Claire Munch tallied 11 kills, seven digs, and two blocks, while Jorja Vandenhul recorded eight kills and two blocks. Sophie Tuttle had five kills and seven digs, while Logan Miller had four kills, 20 assists, and four aces. Reagan VanRoyan had eight digs and five aces, while Kate VanRoyan added six digs.

Parker’s Halle Berens led with five kills and 28 digs, while Aspen Rand had 20 digs and one ace. Braelyn Berens had 17 digs, while Terryn Fuller added 11 assists.


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Beresford 0

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson swept Beresford in Region 4A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 27-25, 25-23, and 25-19. Elk Point-Jefferson will play Canton in the next round.

EPJ’s Natalie Heuertz led with 14 kills, while Bentlee Kollbaum had nine kills and four digs. Danica Torrez tallied eight kills, 12 digs, and three aces, while Josie Curry had seven kills and two blocks, while Alyssa Chytka had 35 digs. Sophia Giorgio added 45 assists and 16 digs.

Beresford’s Irelyn Fickbohm and Megan DeLay each had four kills, while Rachel Zanter and McKayla Roelke had eight and four digs, respectively. Larissa Tiedeman and Addy Wills added five and four assists, respectively.


Garretson 3, Dell Rapids 2

DELL RAPIDS — Garretson edged Dell Rapids in five sets in a Region 3A volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 21-25, 25-16, 22-25 and 15-10. Garretson will play at Sioux Falls Christian on Thursday.

Dell Rapids’ Madelynn Henry recorded 29 kills, while Kylee Fiddelke added 10 kills, three aces and 16 digs. Sophi Randall recorded 54 assists, 10 kills and five blocks. Alaina Wolff posted nine assists and 17 digs. Lexi Ingalls added three aces. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Pierre T.F. Riggs 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 4 Sioux Falls Jefferson swept Class AA No. 5 Pierre T.F. Riggs in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-14, and 25-17.

Sioux Falls Jefferson’s Emory Brosnahan led with 13 kills, while Ella Kvernmo and Taylor Evenson each had five kills. Cora Hokenstad had 26 digs, while Maddie Paulsen tallied six digs and three blocks. Kendall Kniffen had five digs, while Presly Pastian added 32 assists and three aces.

Pierre T.F. Riggs stats were not reported.
