Colman-Egan 3, Sioux Falls Lutheran 2

SALEM — Colman-Egan edged Sioux Falls Lutheran in a five-set Region 3B high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-12, 19-25, 20-25 and 15-11.

Colman-Egan advances to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7.


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Avon 2

BURKE — Tripp-Delmont/Armour outlasted Avon in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-19, 18-25, 25-27 and 15-13.

TDA advances to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7.

TDA’s Megan Reiner recorded 28 kills, 18 digs and nine blocks. Mia Reiner had 16 kills. Ryenn Loneman recorded 19 digs. Sara Bertram had 18 digs. Kinley Spaans posted two aces, nine blocks and 44 assists.

For Avon, Courtney Sees put down 39 kills and 48 digs. Rilyn Thury logged 19 kills, while Lila Vanderlei had two blocks, three kills and 32 digs. McKenna Kocmich had 34 digs and 53 assists. Macy Voigt finished with 22 digs. Kaeli Wallinga posted three blocks. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Northwestern 1

MELLETTE — Hitchcock-Tulare upset No. 3 Northwestern in Region 1B high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 27-25, 23-25, 25-22 and 25-18.

Hitchcock-Tulare advances to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelyn Schroeder finished with 31 kills and 30 digs, while Ella Johnson added 16 kills and 16 digs. Rebecca Huizenga had seven kills and one solo block. Lila Johnson added 46 assists. Gracyn Bixler posted nine assists and three aces. Cambree Hoekman had 16 digs. 

For Northwestern, Taylor Vetter finished with 14 kills and 15 digs. Ashley Haven added 11 kills and three aces. Ella Boekelheide posted 24 assists and 14 digs, while Layla Ortmeier finished with 14 assists. Mikayla Schmitt had seven digs. Tara Blachford and Haven had three aces apiece. Payton Grandpre and Ortmeier had two aces apiece. 


Miller 3, North Central 0

MILLER — Miller swept North Central in Region 6A volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-14 and 25-12.

The Rustlers advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7.

Miller’s Shaylee Anderberg finished with 11 kills and 13 digs. Aleah Schlechter posted 10 kills and three aces. Gracen Werdel added seven kills and two blocks. Paige Werdel had six kills. Heather Resel finished with 28 assists and nine digs. Jolie Palmer posted three aces and 19 digs. 

For North Central, Amree VanderVorst recorded seven kills and one block. Billie Jo Hoffman added eight digs, five kills and one ace. Ella Batie had three kills and one block. Sydney Bertsch added 14 assists and six digs. Jenisa Jacobs posted 13 digs. Sydney Malsam had two aces. 


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Stanley County 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Stanley County in Region 6A volleyball action Thursday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-15 and 25-11. 

The Tigers advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Charley Henderson led Mobridge-Pollock with 14 kills. Katy Kemnitz had 15 assists and seven aces for Stanley County. Sophia Overland had 13 assists and a kill. Ryli Thompson finished with three aces to lead Stanley County and had 11 kills. Raelyn Aberle finished with five kills and two aces. While Grace Overland finished with four kills. 

Stats for Mobridge-Pollock were not reported. 


Castlewood 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0

HURON — Castlewood swept Iroquois/Lake Preston in Region 2B volleyball action Thursday night. The set scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 25-22.

Castlewood advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7.

Rebecca Bich led Iroqouis/Lake Preston with two aces and 23 assists. Faith Steffensen had eight kills and two blocks with Adisen Morre adding eight kills and 18 digs. Elana Campagnalo finished with 19 digs to lead Iroquois/Lake Preston. 

Stats for Castlewood were not reported. 


Dell Rapids 3, Madison 0

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids topped Madison in Region 3A volleyball action Thursday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-17 and 29-27.

The Quarriers advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Madelynn Henry paced Dell Rapids with 21 kills, an ace, two blocks and a dig. Lauryn Kloth added 11 kills, three block assists and a dig. Alaina Wolff led with 12 digs while having an assist. Sophi Randall led with 40 assists and had two kills and four digs. 

Stats for Madison were not reported. 


Burke 3, Gregory 0

BURKE — Burke swept Gregory in Region 5B volleyball action Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-16 and 25-10. 

The Cougars advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Emmie Hausmann paced Burke Thursday with two aces and 11 kills. Elle Johnson had two aces and 19 digs while Kailee Frank had eight kills and eight digs. Piper Hanson added six kills with Paige Bull contributing four blocks. Ava Sargent had seven digs and 15 assists with Bridget Eliason finishing with 13 assists. 

Raesha Beck led Gregory with six kills. Mya Determan and Asia VanDerWerff each had five kills. Jordan Svatos led with seven assists. Regan Graesser led Gregory with 12 digs while Ella Sperl had 10 digs. 


Wolsey-Wessington 3, Arlington 2

HURON —- Wolsey-Wessington defeated Arlington in five sets in Region 2B volleyball action. The set scores were 29-27, 19-25, 18-25, 25-21 and 15-7. 

The Warbirds advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Addie Steffensen paced Arlington with five aces, 18 kills and 27 digs. Harley Johnson finished with 20 kills while Jolyssa Steffensen had 23 digs. Isabelle Steffensen had 50 assists for Arlington and Jaelyn Huntimer led with two blocks.

Stats for Wolsey-Wessington were not reported. 

Rapid City Christian 3, Custer 1

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian defeated Custer in Region 8A volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 31-33, 25-14, 25-13 and 25-20.

Rapid City advances to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Rapid City Christian’s Ana Egge posted 14 kills, seven digs, three aces and two blocks. Lydia Williams posted 11 kills and three blocks. Faith King recorded nine kills, 12 digs and 10 assists. Moriah Coyle added 29 assists, 10 digs and one ace. Chloe Weber posted four aces, nine digs and seven kills. Sophie DeWitt recorded three aces and seven digs. Kendall Glassbrenner logged five kills and two blocks. 

Custer stats were not reported.


Flandreau 3, Hamlin 0

HAMLIN — Flandreau defeated Hamlin in straight sets in Region 2A volleyball action Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-20. 

The Fliers advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Claire Sheppard powered the Flandreau attack with 16 kills, three blocks and two aces. Abby Schoeberi dished out 30 assists and came up with 16 digs. Sadie Iott had two aces, Addy Hammer had nine digs. Lizzie Pavlis came up with 16 kills for Flandreau. 

Marissa Bawdon led Hamlin with 10 assists and 10 kills. Addie Neuendorf finished with three aces, 10 assists and nine kills. Maddie Bos led with three blocks and Grace Opdahl had four aces, and four digs. Emily Everson finished with two aces and Jayci Trowbridge led the Chargers with six digs. 


Sioux Falls Christian 3, Baltic 0 

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Christian swept Baltic in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-12 and 25-17.

The Chargers advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Taylor Byl posted 15 kills, while Sidney Oostra added 12 kills, three digs and two blocks. Katelyn Maas had seven kills. Addisen Barber posted six kills, 37 assists and three digs. Lavin Maddox logged nine digs and Chloe Bosma posted six digs. Oostra, Tavyn Sichmeller and Byl had two blocks apiece. 

Baltic stats were not reported. 


Dakota Valley 3, Elk Point-Jefferson 2

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Dakota Valley outlasted Elk Point-Jefferson in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 24-26, 20-25, 25-12, 25-20 and 15-9.

The Panthers advanced to the SoDak 16 on Nov. 7. 

Dakota Valley’s Sophie Tuttle finished with 18 kills, 11 digs and three aces. Sammy Kimball logged 18 kills and one block. Claire Munch posted 14 kills and 18 digs. Cam Sommervold had nine kills and one block. Bria Perryman posted 23 assists and three aces. Jacee Squire logged 17 assists, four digs and two aces. Reagan Gustafson had 18 digs. Emerson Mead had five kills and Lauren Olhausen had two kills.

For EPJ, Bentlee Kollbaum had 21 kills and 23 digs. Grace Peed posted eight kills and two digs. Courtney Brewer added 39 assists and seven digs. Hannah Nearman finished with 28 digs. Ashley Brewer logged eight kills, three blocks and three digs. Kaitlyn VanRoekel had 13 digs and Cera Schmidt had 12 digs. Natalie Heurtz posted five kills and three blocks. 


Huron 3, Brandon Valley 1

HURON — Huron defeated Brandon Valley in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 20-25, 25-19 and 25-18.

Brandon Valley’s Abby Gruber finished with 22 kills, while Jersie Melcher posted 14 kills. Lexi Gawarecki and Jayaunna Stroh had 17 and 13 digs, respectively. Riya Sheley had 49 assists and one block. Alli Gawarecki had two aces. Kennedi Boomsma and Ashley Ertelt each had blocks.

Huron stats were not reported. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Aberdeen Central 0 

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Jefferson swept Aberdeen Central in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-9 and 25-13.

Jefferson’s Emory Brosnahan posted nine kills, five digs and three block assists. Ella Kvernmo had nine kills and 16 digs. Mya Hejl had seven kills and four digs. Presly Pastian added 15 digs and 29 assists. Cora Hokenstad posted 23 digs. Pastian and Brosnahan had three aces apiece. 

Aberdeen Central stats were not reported.
