Platte-Geddes 3, Avon 0

BONESTEEL -- Platte-Geddes swept Avon in straight sets in a Region 6B high school volleyballTue match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-12 and 25-5. The Black Panthers advanced to the SoDak16 on Nov. 9. 

Cadence VanZee led Platte-Geddes with 11 kills, 10 aces and 17 digs. Karly VanDerWerff added nine kills, nine digs and one block. Avery DeVries finished with 27 assists, six digs, four aces and one kill. Regan Hoffman posted seven kills, five aces and 11 digs. Baleigh Nachtigal had four kills, three assists and three digs. Hadley Hanson followed with eight digs, while Addy Boltjes had three kills and one block. 

Avon’s Tiffany Pelton posted seven kills, eight digs and one block. Courtney Sees had four kills and six digs. Sam Brodeen had eight digs and Katie Gretschmann had seven digs. Makayla Kopp posted six digs, while McKenna Kocmich had 12 assists and nine digs.

 

Chester Area 3, Ethan 1

MADISON -- Chester Area topped Ethan in a four-set Region 4B volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 16-25, 25-20 and 25-14. The Flyers advanced to the SoDak16 on Nov. 9. 

Chester Area’s Breckyn Ewoldt finished with 17 kills, while Jayda Kenyon had 12 kills. Lily VanHal added 25 assists and three aces. Carly Becker posted 15 assists. Serena Larson and Addison Bates had two blocks apiece. Emery Larson and Kaylor Geraets had 32 and 20 digs, respectively.

Ethans’s Bella Nesheim had 16 kills, 25 digs and two aces. Hannah Bartscher recorded one ace, seven blocks, 12 kills and 18 digs. Ava Lingemann added 28 assists. 


Colman-Egan 3, Bridgewater-Emery 2

MADISON -- Colman-Egan rallied from a 2-0 deficit and defeated Bridgewater-Emery in Region 4B volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were  21-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-19 and 15-12. Colman-Egan qualified for the SoDak16 on Nov. 9. 

Colman-Egan’s Hailey Larson put down 20 kills, while Mackenzie Hemmer had 16 kills, 22 digs and six blocks. Ava Mousel and Lanie Mousel had 25 and 18 assists, respectively. Ava Mousel added two aces. Daniela Lee had four blocks and 19 digs. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Julia Weber racked up 26 kills and 19 digs. Taylor Schallenkamp recorded 24 kills and two blocks. Casey Meyer added 31 assists and two aces. Kaitlyn Roskens had 27 assists. Cara Meyer added 40 digs. 


Arlington 3, Estelline/Hendricks 0

ARLINGTON -- Arlington swept Estelline/Hendricks in Region 3B volleyball play Thursday and qualified for the SoDak16. The set scores were 25-15, 25-16 and 25-15.

Hadley Carlson had 19 kills for the Cardinals, while Morgan Larson posted six kills, 13 digs and one block. Grace Parry had 27 assists and four aces. Harley Johnson recorded 15 digs, while Erin Haufschild had two aces. Natalie Burns had two blocks.

For Estelline/Hendricks, Kenzy Beare had 10 kills, four blocks and one block. Kate Wegner added six kills. Sadie Johnson posted 15 assists and 29 digs. Heidi Nicola had 22 digs, while Rachel Hexem had four blocks. Brooke Johnson added an ace. 


Wolsey-Wessington 3, Castlewood 0

WOLSEY -- Wolsey-Wessington swept Castlewood in straight sets in Region 3B volleyball play Thursday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-21 and 30-28. Wolsey-Wessington advances to the SoDak16 on Nov. 9. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Mya Boomsma and Leah Williams had 19 kills apiece. Boomsma had 24 digs, while Williams had 16 digs. Lainey Uttecht added 21 digs, while Macie Luce finished with 19 assists. Taylor Horn added 10 assists and Giyahna Richmond had four blocks.

Castlewood’s Presley Knecht had 22 kills, while Mackenzie Everson had 11 kills. Maddie Horn added three solo blocks, four kills and 10 digs. Gracie Haug finished with 12 digs and 32 assists.

 

Miller 3, Potter County 1

GETTYSBURG -- Miller topped Potter County in a four-set Region 2B volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-13, 20-25 and 26-24. Miller advances to the SoDak16 on Nov. 9.

Miller’s Ally Mullaney finished with 16 kills and three block assists. Tricia Lammers addes 12 kills, while Jaden Werdel had eight kills, 27 digs and one ace. Abbi Blake posted 21 digs and Journey Palmer had 16 digs. Cynthia Ford had 10 digs, while Tyra Gates had three kills and 39 assists. Aleah Schlechter added three aces. 

No stats were reported for Potter County. 

 

Winner 3, Dupree 0

WINNER -- Winner advanced to the SoDak16 with a Region 6A volleyball victory over Dupree on Thursday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-21 and 25-12. 

Ellie Brozik led the Warriors with 18 kills, 10 digs, nine assists, five aces and one solo block. Skyler Hansen had eight kills, while Rylee Root had 12 digs and eight aces. Jenna Hammerbeck had one block assist. 

No stats were reported for Dupree. 


Dakota Valley 3, Parker 0 

NORTH SIOUX CITY -- Dakota Valley swept Parker in Region 4A volleyball action Thursday and advanced to the SoDak16. The set scores 25-19, 25-20 and 25-13.

Dakota Valley’s Jorja Vandenhul posted 17 kills, three digs and one block. Sophie Tuttle finished with 11 kills, 12 digs and one block. Logan Miller recorded 42 assists, seven digs, six kills and one block. Tori Schultz finished with three kills, two digs and one block. Kate VanRooyan had 15 digs and two aces. Regan VanRooyan posted 12 digs and one ace. Madeline Stout had six kills.

Parker’s Brooke Berens had 12 kills, 30 digs and two aces. Halle Berens had three kills, while Lexi Even had 31 digs. Terryn Fuller dished out 20 assists. 


Redfield 3, Groton Area 2

HENRY -- Redfield outlasted Groton Area in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-22, 17-25, 20-25, 25-19 and 15-7. Redfield advances to the SoDak16 on Nov. 9.

Redfield’s Gracie Fast finished with 16 kills, while Katie Rozell had 13 kills and two solo blocks. Camryn Rohlfs added two aces, 19 digs and 39 assists. Denae Paulsen added 15 digs. 

No stats were reported for Groton Area. 

Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Deubrook Area 1

ELKTON -- Elkton-Lake Benton recorded a four-set win over Deubrook Area in Region 2A volleyball action Thursday and advanced to the SoDak 16. The set scores were 16-25, 25-8, 25-19 and 25-15.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Kailyn Drietz finished with 17 kills, 16 digs and three aces. Rachael Krog posted 15 kills and 28 digs. Madisyn Nielsen had six assists, three kills and three digs. Kylie Ramlo had seven kills, 10 digs, one ace and one block assist. Aubree Bales added 12 kills, three block assists and two digs. Tevan Erickson added 41 assists, 22 digs, three aces and three block assists. Kayla Goertz added 10 digs and Kinsley Krog posted six digs.

Deubrook Area’s Emma Vandermeer had 11 kills, two solo blocks and one ace. Miranda Moravetz had 10 kills and 14 digs. Brooke Koppatschek finished with 18 assists, five kills and one ace. Ellie Koenig added 12 assists and one ace. Delaney Petersen had 10 digs and Hanna Kjelden had three block assists. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Beresford 0

ELK POINT -- Elk Point-Jefferson swept Beresford in Region 4A action on Thursday and advanced to the SoDak16. The set scores were 25-16, 25-18 and 25-23.

EPJ’s Natalie Heuertz finished with 13 kills and one block. Bentlee Kollbaum had 10 kills and six digs. Ashley Brewer recorded nine kills, three digs and one block. Danica Torrez had eight kills and 16 digs. Josie Curry posted nine kills, three blocks and three digs. Nikki Wriedt had 13 digs, while Sophia Giorgio had 41 assists, 11 kills and 15 digs. 

Beresford’s Savanna Beeson finished with five kills, three blocks and two digs. Kara Niles had eight kills, seven digs, two assists and one block. Larissa Tiedeman had 12 assists and two digs. Autumn Namminga had 11 digs and Rachel Zanter posted 14 digs. Sierra Johnson had eight digs and four assists.
