Burke 3, Wolsey-Wessington 1 

MITCHELL — No. 10 seed Burke punched its ticket to the Class B volleyball tournament in Rapid City with a 3-1 win over No. 7 seed Wolsey-Wessington Tuesday night in the SoDak16 at the Corn Palace. 

The set scores were 25-15, 25-20, 23-25 and 25-16. 

No other information was reported.  

Faulkton Area 3, Timber Lake 0

IPSWICH -- Faulkton Area earned a berth in the Class B state volleyball tournament with a win over Timber Lake on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-12 and 25-21.

Isabel Aesoph led Faulkton Area with 17 kills and 12 digs. Shayna Heitmann added nine kills for the offense. Addison Melius had an ace (19-of-20 serving) and added six kills and two blocks. Camryn Deiter had one ace, 12 digs and 15 assists while Gabby Kast contributed 20 assists.

Arlington 3, Freeman 1

VOLGA -- The Arlington Cardinals earned a berth in next week’s Class B state volleyball tournament with a win over Freeman. The set scores were 25-13, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-16. 

Senior Hadley Carlson led Arlington with 30 kills and 20 digs. Gracy Parry ran the offense to perfection dishing out 40 assists while also contributing 10 digs. Erin Haufschild had 13 kills to aid the Arlington offense. Harley Johnson finished with 21 digs and three ace serves. Morgan Larsen finished with one block, nine digs and one ace.

Chester Area 3, Gayville-Volin 0

SIOUX FALLS - The Chester Area Flyers punched their ticket to the Class B state volleyball tournament in Rapid City with a three-set sweep of Gayville-Volin. The set scores were 25-19, 25-10, 25-22.

Breckyn Ewoldt led the way for the Flyers with 14 kills, as well as contributing defensively with 16 digs. Jayda Kenyon tallied eight kills of her own along with leading the Flyers in blocks with two. Lily VanHal picked up 19 assists. Carly Becker added in 18 assists of her own along with 2 aces. Others Contributing to the Flyers’ state tournament appearance include Kaylor Geraets with two aces, Addison Bates with one block, and Emery Larson with 30 digs from her libero position.

For the Raiders, Molly Larson led the way with 12 kills and 15 digs. Jaydn Hubbard added 11 kills of her own. Keeley Larson directed traffic all night and notched 21 assists for the effort, she also contributed two aces on the night. Ayla Dimmer contributed 15 digs in the effort for the Raiders.

Sioux Falls Christian 3, Pine Ridge 0 

MITCHELL — Defending Class A champion Sioux Falls Christian secured a spot in the Class A volleyball tournament with a win over Pine Ridge on Tuesday in the SoDak16 at the Corn Palace. 

The scores were 25-5, 25-7 and 25-8. 

No other information was reported. 

Colman-Egan 3, Miller 0

MADISON —  Colman-Egan secured a spot in the Class B state volleyball tournament in Rapid City by sweeping Miller in the SoDak16 on Tuesday in Madison. The scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-17.  

Ally Mullaney led Miller with 10 kills. Tyra Gates added 13 digs and Jaden Werdel had 10 digs.
