SIOUX FALLS — O’Gorman senior Libby Castelli pulled away late to claim the individual title at Saturday’s Nike Heartland Preview held at Yankton Trail Park. Castelli’s winning time (17:18) was just in front of Harrisburg seventh-grader Brianna Reilly (17:26) and Harrisburg eighth-grader Hannah Genrich (17:28).

Sioux Falls Christian won the girls team title with 49 points, ahead of Harrisburg (80) and Spearfish (114). Rapid City Stevens (130) and O’Gorman (158) rounded out the top-five teams.

The Rapid City Stevens boys were the top South Dakota school and finished third with 170 points, ahead of Sioux Falls Christian (179) and Sioux Falls Washington (201). 

Sioux Falls Washington sophomore Cole Reilly was the top South Dakota finisher claiming fourth place (15:38).
