Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Ruby Moore has committed to the South Dakota State University women’s basketball team.

The O’Gorman sophomore verbally committed to the Jacks on Sept. 12, announcing her intentions on social media. Moore averaged 5.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game last season for the Knights, who won the Class AA state championship. Moore also had a scholarship offer from South Dakota.

Moore’s sisters, Izzy and Lucy, are current members of the Northern State University women’s basketball team. Izzy, who started her career at Augustana University, is a junior and Lucy is a freshman.

Parents, Keith and Kristie, were outstanding athletes. Keith, an all-state basketball player at Lyman, played college basketball at Northern State and is a member of the school’s hall of fame.

Kristie, whose maiden name is Hallock, was an all-state basketball player at Stanley County and was the 1994 Class A Spirit of Su recipient.
