Platte-Geddes 28, Canistota 14

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes edged Class 9A No. 2 Canistota in Friday high school football action. 

Platte-Geddes’ Joey Foxley accounted for three touchdowns, while Kasen Konstanz added a touchdown in the win.

Canistota’s Levi Schroeder accounted for both touchdowns for the Hawks.

Kimball/White Lake 50, Bennett County 6

KIMBALL — Iden Myers powered Kimball/White Lake to a Friday high school football win. 

Myers rushed for 263 yards and scored two touchdowns for the WiLdKats, while he intercepted two passes on defense. Blake Leiferman added 77 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown, while rushing for another score. Lucas Lenz scored two rushing touchdowns and Lantz Bass added a rushing score. Lenz and Graden Holen posted seven and six tackles, respectively. 

Bennett County stats were not reported. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 35, Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan 6

ELK POINT — Class 11B No. 4 Elk Point-Jefferson pulled away from Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan for a Friday night high school football victory.

EPJ’s Jacob Gale rushed for 84 yards on six carries and scored two touchdowns. Garrett Merkley added 58 yards rushing on four carries and scored a touchdown. Gunner Ewing finished with 62 yards rushing on three carries. Keaton Gale completed two passes for 110 yards and threw two touchdown passes. Merkley and Ashton Fairbanks hauled in touchdown catches. 

BEE’s Drake Gustafson rushed for 95 yards on 19 carries and scored its lone touchdown. Gustafson threw for 21 passing yards. Kean Stevenson added 13 yards rushing. 


Centerville 34, Garretson 14

CENTERVILLE — A balanced offensive attack powered Centerville to a win over Garretson in high school football action Friday. 

James Buckenberg led Centerville rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Alec Austin rushed for 85 yards and Covin Wattier finished with 64 yards rushing and a touchdown. Austin had an efficient night through the air completing eight passes, three of which were touchdown passes, for 116  yards. Wattier caught three passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns while Miles Eide added 33 yards receiving and a touchdown. 

Garretson rushed for 131 yards on the night. No other Garretson stats were reported. 


Pierre 26, Tea Area 18 

TEA — Class 11AA No. 1 Pierre held off Class 11AA No. 3 Tea Area for a Friday high school football win. 

Cade Kaiser led the Governors with 124 rushing yards on 24 carries and scored two touchdowns. Kaiser added 98 passing yards and threw a touchdown reception to Jett Zabel, who added 73 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Zabel recorded 98 receiving yards. Chance Carda had 12 tackles, while Greyson Schuetzle and Trey Lewis posted 10 tackles apiece. 

For Tea Area, Keegan DeYoung rushed for 130 yards on 17 carries and scored two touchdowns. Brenner Konrad logged 98 rushing yards on 13 carries and scored a touchdown. Tim Halbur had nine tackles. 


Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy 54, Florence-Henry 0

FLORENCE — Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy blanked Florence-Henry to earn a win in Friday night football action. 

Leading the way for the Phoenix was quarterback Karter Weber who completed nine passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Evan Scharberg caught two of those touchdown passes (40, 25) while Rocky Ammann caught a 15-yarder from Weber and returned a punt 40-yards for a touchdown. Dominic Sperling finished with 32 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns. 

Karter Kohlenberg led Florence-Henry with 47 yards rushing and 19 yards receiving. 


Colman-Egan 42, Arlington 0

ARLINGTON — Colman-Egan used strong second and third quarters to pick up a win over Arlington in high school football action Friday. 

Colman-Egan’s Jack Mousel had a big night for the Hawks rushing for 121 yards and a touchdown. Jonny Keyes had rushing touchdowns of 40 and five yards while Brayden Wiese had touchdown runs of eight and 17-yards as the Hawks rushed for 255 yards. Jack Mousel found Jace Mousel on a 21-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring for Colman-Egan. 

Greyson Neilson led Arlington rushing for 47 yards on six carries. As a team Arlington rushed the ball for 76 yards. 


Winner 50, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 0

WINNER — Class 11B No. 1 Winner completed an undefeated regular season with a shutout win over Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Friday. The Warriors rushed for 203 yards on 22 carries.

Winner’s Jude Sargent finished with 42 rushing yards on four carries and scored a touchdown. Zac Olson added 38 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Gus Bartels posted 37 rushing yards and a score, while Stratton Morehart added a rushing touchdown. Aiden Barfuss rushed for 20 yards. Karson Keiser rushed for a team-high 50 yards and intercepted a pass on defense. Matt Brozik 2.5 tackles 

For MVP, Brady Fox rushed for eight yards. Trevor Sweet posted 3.5 tackles. 


Sioux Valley 47, Flandreau 7

VOLGA — Powered by a monster night from Boden Schiller, Class 11B No. 2 Sioux Valley cruised past Flandreau in Friday night football action. 

Schiller carried the ball nine times for 142 yards and three touchdowns, his longest being 58 yards. Schiller also completed two passes for 63 yards that included a 53-yard touchdown pass to Hudsyn Ruesink. Donovan Rose added 42 rushing yards that included a 13-yard touchdown run. Ruesink led the Cossacks defense with 12 tackles. 

Ben Ballard led Flandreau with 34 yards rushing. Paul Parsley finished with 44 passing yards and a 14-yard touchdown pass to Kody Kneebone. Ballard led the Flandreau defense with 10 tackles while Karter Headrick and William Lone Bear each had five stops. 


Dell Rapids 42, St. Thomas More 15

RAPID CITY — Class 11A No. 1 Dell Rapids racked up 368 yards rushing en route to a Friday night high school football win.

Mason Stubbe rushed for 178 yards on 12 carries and scored three touchdowns. Cole Ruesink and Sutton Williams added rushing touchdowns. Jack Henry threw a 30-yard passing touchdown to Ruesink. Cooper Frost had five tackles, while Treyse Eastman posted four tackles. Henry and Will Ronshaugen had interceptions on defense. 

St. Thomas More stats were not reported. 


Rapid City Christian 7, Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 0

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Braylon Marshall’s fourth-quarter touchdown run lifted Rapid City Christian to a high school football win over Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central on Friday. 

Marshall’s one-yard touchdown run was the first play of the fourth quarter and it was the lone score of the game. 


Deuel 50, Redfield 0 

CLEAR LAKE — Class 11B No. 5 Deuel blanked Redfield in Friday high school football action.

Deuel’s Trey Maaland rushed for 113 yards on 13 carries and scored three touchdowns. Gavin Kloos added 72 yards rushing on 10 carries and scored a touchdown. Carson Marko rushed for 69 yards and scored two rushing scores. Oliver Fieber had a rushing touchdown. Kaden Tekrany and Ethan Prins posted five tackles on defense. 

Redfield’s Ethan Falk passed for four yards, while Chase McGillivary had four yards receiving. McGillivary had five tackles.  


Madison 14, Vermillion 2

MADISON — In a low scoring game Madison did just enough to win their second consecutive game with edging Vermillion in Friday night football action. 

Eli Barger had a big game for Vermillion carrying the football 34 times for 109 yards and a touchdown. Barger also threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Comes who was the Tanagers leading receiver with 34 yards. Madison’s Lincoln Anderson led the defense with an interception while Tyan Braskamp had four sacks. 

Vermillion’s Nolan Nygren led the Tanagers with 63 yards rushing while completing nine passes for 135 yards with one interception. Connor Peterson finished with 66 yards receiving while Connor Roerig caught one pass for 54 yards. Rollie French led the defense with four tackles for loss. 


Chamberlain 33, Milbank 13 

MILBANK — Chamberlain’s Cruz Soulek accounted for four touchdowns in a Friday high school football win over Milbank.

Soulek rushed for 233 yards on 24 carries and scored two touchdowns. Soulek completed 7 of 12 passes for 101 yards and threw two touchdown passes. Sawyer Donovan and Levi Miller both caught touchdown receptions. Miller racked up 10 tackles on defense. 

Milbank’s Garrett Mertens completed 6 of 11 passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. Mertens added 66 yards rushing on 13 carries. Emmett Hanson hauled in a touchdown reception. Jayden Johnson had 40 yards receiving. Tate Schlueter and Jesse Schneck had six tackles apiece. 


Dakota Valley 36, Beresford 0 

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Jackson Boonstra powered Dakota Valley to a Friday high school football win. 

Boonstra racked up 270 rushing yards on 16 carries and scored four touchdowns. Trae Piel added 27 rushing yards. Drew Lukken passed for 34 yards and a touchdown. Baue Jones hauled in a 25-yard touchdown reception. Emanuel Kual posted 10 tackles.

For Beresford, Jack Stenen rushed for 39 yards on 11 carries. Robert Watkins rushed for 26 yards. Ashton Oberle completed four passes for 46 yards. Jax Fickbohm hauled in 18 yards receiving. Cooper Nelson posted 11 tackles and Stenen tallied nine tackles. 


Brandon Valley 34, Sioux Falls Jefferson 6 

SIOUX FALLS — Class 11AAA No. 5 Brandon Valley built a 34-0 lead en route to a Friday high school football win over Class 11AAA No. 3 Sioux Falls Jefferson.

Brandon Valley’s Jack Thue completed 6 of 10 passes for 149 yards and threw two passing touchdowns. Gus Scott rushed for 110 yards on 18 carries and scored two rushing scores. Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte rushed for 26 yards and a rushing touchdown. Bonwell-Witte hauled in a touchdown reception. Landon Dulaney caught four catches for 113 yards and hauled in a touchdown reception. Chase Leary posted seven tackles and Ryland Carroll had an interception. 

Jefferson stats were not reported.
