Winner 3, Corsica-Stickney 1

WINNER — Winner picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Corsica-Stickney on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 16-25, 25-5 and 25-23.


Platte-Geddes 3, Chamberlain 0

PLATTE — Class A No. 5 Platte-Geddes picked up a three-set sweep over Chamberlain in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-11 and 25-13.

Platte-Geddes’ Regan Hoffman logged 12 kills, 12 digs, four aces and one block. Karly VanDerWerff finished with 10 kills, 16 digs, five aces and two blocks. Addison DeVries finished with four kills and two digs. Baleigh Nachtigal posted five kills, four digs and two assists. Avery DeVries added 29 assists, two digs and one ace. Hadley Hanson finished with eight digs and two aces. Emerson Ringling had four kills and two digs, while Karsen Sondgeroth had 10 digs and three aces. 

Chamberlain’s Sara Peterson recorded four kills and four digs. Chesney Mutziger recorded three kills, three assists and five digs. Frankee George finished with three kills. Leigha Long added seven digs, while Jayna Handel had four assists and one digs. Megan Marone had two digs and one ace. 


Burke 3, Gregory 0

BURKE — Class B No. 3 Burke swept Gregory in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-19, 25-10 and 25-9.

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl finished with 17 kills, 14 digs, one ace and one block. Kailee Frank posted eight kills, eight digs, four aces and four assists. Paige Bull and Emmie Hausmann had eight and seven kills, respectively. Bull added two blocks, while Olivia Bull had one block. Savannah Geaghan and Elle Johnson had three aces apiece. Johnson added 12 digs. Elly Witt recorded 18 assists, while Ava Sargent posted 11 assists. 

Gregory’s Cassidy Keiser and Mya Determan had six kills apiece. London Flakus had nine digs, while Jordan Svatos and Regan Graesser had six digs apiece. Keiser had three blocks, while Graesser and Asia VanDerWerff had two block apiece. Svatos had 10 assists. Keiser finished with two aces. 


Warner 3, Faulkton Area 0

FAULKTON — Class B No. 1 Warner swept Faulkton Area in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-11, and 25-16.

Warner’s Kyra Marcuson logged 10 kills, while Kyleigh Schopp had nine kills and three blocks. Kami Anderson tallied three blocks and three aces, while Ava Nilsson had 35 assists and six blocks. Courtney Bjorgaard and Lauren Marcuson added 16 and 10 digs, respectively.

Faulkton Area’s Addison Melius had 10 kills, while Carley Cotton tallied 14 digs and two blocks. Trisha Cramer had 12 digs, while Gabby Kast added 20 assists.


Wolsey-Wessington 3, Wessington Springs 0 

WOLSEY — Class B No. 5 Wolsey-Wessington swept Wessington Springs in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-20, and 25-16.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Mallory Miller had nine kills and five blocks, while Leah Williams tallied eight kills and 12 digs. Mya Boomsma logged seven kills and two aces, while Lainey Uttecht recorded 16 digs. Taylor Horn had 25 assists, while Kailynn Dorris added three blocks.

Wessington Springs was led by Avery Orth with 12 kills, three blocks, and one ace, while Sarah Poncelow recorded nine kills and two blocks. Carissa Scheel had five kills, while Alyssa Grohs had 26 assists and 17 digs. Raylee Fagerhaug added 13 digs and one ace.


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Scotland 0

SCOTLAND — Tripp-Delmont/Armour swept Scotland for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-13, and 25-18.

TDA’s Gracey Schatz recorded eight kills and seven digs, while Megan Reiner tallied seven kills and 14 digs. Hannah Stremick had five kills, 19 assists, and four digs, while Mia Reiner had four kills and eight digs. Morgan Gemar had three kills, 10 digs, and five aces, while Callie Westendorf added nine digs.

Scotland’s Martina DeBoer tallied 11 kills and seven digs, while Trinity Bietz had five kills and 12 digs. Claire Janish had 13 assists and nine digs, while Kalley Vitek had six assists and three digs. Bailey Vitek added 14 digs.

 

 

Centerville 3, Avon 2 

AVON — Centerville outlasted Avon in a five-set Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 16-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-14 and 15-9.

Centerville’s Thea Gust posted 10 kills, nine digs and five aces. Rylie Tieman added seven kills, while Lillie Eide added six kills and three blocks. Kalie Barcklay finished with four aces, while Bailey Hansen added three aces and six digs. Keira Austin finished with 21 assists, while Mackenzie Meyer had six digs. 

Avon’s Courtney Sees finished with eight kills and 21 digs. Gracie Small and Lila Vanderlei had seven kills apiece. Vanderlei logged 13 digs. McKenna Kocmich posted four aces and 23 assists. Sarah Swier had 19 digs.

 

Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Irene-Wakonda 0

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson swept Irene-Wakonda in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-4, and 25-13.

EPJ was led by Bentlee Kollbaum with 11 kills, six digs, and two aces, while Ashley Brewer tallied seven kills. Natalie Heuertz logged six kills and three aces, while Alyssa Chytka had 15 digs and four aces. Sophia Giorgio had 27 assists, five digs, and two aces, while Danica Torrez added five aces.

Irene-Wakonda was led by Madison Orr with three kills and three blocks, while Kaitlynn Mellem had four blocks. Quincey Flynn had six digs, while Zoey Anderson and Quinn McDonald each added two kills and two digs.


Baltic 3, Sioux Valley 0

VOLGA — Baltic swept Sioux Valley in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-16, and 25-17.

Baltic’s Petyon Krull tallied nine kills and 10 digs, while Bailey Teveldal had eight kills, 17 assists, and 13 digs. Daynica Witzel logged eight kills and 15 digs, while Emma Van Regenmorter and Alys Dobbins each had seven kills. Jacie Wendland had 20 assists, while Madison Kennedy added 15 digs.

Sioux Valley’s Landree Wilson tallied seven kills and 10 digs, while Adison Renkly had five kills. Kaedyn Sapp added four kills and 15 digs. 


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Sully Buttes 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Sully Buttes in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-13, and 25-20.

Mobridge-Pollock was led by Charley Henderson with six kills and two aces, while Emma Keller had five kills, 17 assists, and four aces. Ryli Thompson and Grace Overland each had five kills, while Mariah Goehring and Emily Hatzenbuehler had four kills apiece. Reagan Weisbeck added eight digs.

Sully Buttes stats were not reported.

 



Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, West Central 0 

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton swept West Central in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-22, and 25-23.

West Central’s Aubree Miller led with 14 kills, seven assists, and three aces, while Josephine Dinges had six kills. Ellie Lienhard had 15 assists and two aces, while Jocelyn Nilson and Kaia Gabbert added 23 and 15 digs, respectively.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton stats were not reported.


Chester Area 3, Madison 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 2 Chester Area swept Madison in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-17 and 25-14.

Chester Area’s Lily VanHal finished with two aces, 11 kills, 16 digs and 17 assists. Jacy Wolf logged 10 kills, three aces and 20 assists. Emery Larson logged 22 digs, while Emmerson Eppard had two blocks. Emilie Bleeker had a block. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson logged 12 kills, 10 digs and five blocks. Amanda Vacanti added eight kills, eight assists and nine digs. Karley Theede finished with nine assists, while Callie McDermott posted 14 digs. Ellie Osthus posted three blocks and Maycee Theede had a block. 


Groton Area 3, Deuel 0

CLEAR LAKE — Groton Area swept Deuel in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-21 and 25-18.

Sydney Leicht led the Tigers with 13 kills, five aces and nine digs. Lydia Meier eight kills, nine digs and one block assist. Anna Fjeldheim posted six kills and one block assist. Carly Guthmiller added four aces and eight digs. Liz Fliehs finished with two aces and 27 assists. Aspen Johnson finished with three solo blocks. 

Deuel’s Josie Andersen recorded seven kills, eight assists and 13 digs. Harley Hennings added six kills, while Kayden Russell posted 10 assists and one ace. Annika Kriz logged 11 digs and Emma Hamann had nine digs. McKenna Olson and Hope Bjerke each had blocks. 


Redfield 3, Webster Area 0

REDFIELD — Redfield swept Webster Area for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-8, and 25-18.

Redfield’s Katie Rozell led with seven kills, three blocks, and two aces. Gracie Fast had six kills, while Camryn Rohlfs tallied 18 assists and four aces. Chloe Zens and Ashlyn Clausen each had six digs.

Webster Area stats were not reported.
