ETHAN — Class A No. 5 Miller swept Ethan in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Friday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-19, and 25-15.

Miller’s Ally Mullaney tallied 12 kills, while Jaden Werdel had nine kills and eight digs. Abbi Blake logged eight kills and three aces, while Tricia Lammers added five kills. Jolie Palmer had 16 digs and one ace, while Aleah Schlechter finished with nine digs. Tyra Gates added 30 assists and nine digs.

Ethan stats were not reported.


Viborg-Hurley 3, Hanson 1

VIBORG — Viborg-Hurley earned a four-set high school volleyball win over Hanson on Friday. The set scores were 25-21, 24-26, 25-12, and 25-19.

Viborg-Hurley’s Coral Mason led with 24 kills, 19 digs, and two aces, while Denae Mach tallied 15 kills and 13 digs. Estelle Lee had seven kills, eight digs, and four aces, while Mataya Vannorsdel had 40 assists and 11 digs. Charley Nelson and Jenna Graves added 18 and 12 digs, respectively.

Hanson’s Annalyse Weber had 19 kills and 11 digs, while Jazzlyn Campbell had eight kills. Jersey Kampshoff had 18 digs and three aces, while Jalyn Kampshoff had 28 assists and nine digs. Claire Bridge added 11 digs and three aces.


Avon 3, Menno 1

AVON — Avon picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Menno on Friday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-21, 21-25, and 25-19.

Avon’s Courtney Sees tallied 15 kills and 21 digs, while Lila Vanderlei had seven kills and 25 digs. Lexi Vanderlei recorded seven kills and three aces, while Macy Voigt had 11 digs. McKenna Kochmich added 30 assists and four aces.

Menno’s Ashton Massey had seven kills and two blocks, while Morgan Freier had five kills. Maggie Miller logged 14 digs and five assists, while Abby Bender had seven digs and six assists. Maddy Kludt had six digs and one ace, while Alana Fergen had six assists. Josslyn Fischer and Kaelie Derby each had two aces.


Scotland 3, Corsica-Stickney 1

SCOTLAND — Scotland topped Corsica-Stickney in four sets in a Friday high school volleyball win. The set scores were 25-17, 25-20, 17-25 and 25-18.

Scotland’s Martina DeBoer posted 11 kills, 13 digs, three blocks and one ace. Trinity Bietz logged nine kills, 25 digs and four aces. Grace Robb added five kills, 18 digs and two aces. Jerica Stark had four kills and four blocks. Bailey Vitek added 17 digs. Claire Janish posted 10 assists, 15 digs and three kills. Kalley Vitek finished with 16 assists and 24 digs. 

Corsica-Stickney’s Ashlyn Lefers finished with 10 kills, 33 digs and two blocks. Sophie DeLange posted eight kills, five digs and 1 1/2 blocks. Payton DeLange logged five kills, 24 digs and two blocks. Brooklyn Bosma posted five kills, 10 digs and two blocks. Sutten Eide finished with 28 assists, 14 digs and two aces. Cali Vanden Hoek had 16 digs, while Braylee Bordewyk had 13 digs and four kills. 


Hamlin 3, Deuel 0

HAYTI — Hamlin swept Deuel in straight sets for a high school volleyball win. The set scores were 25-13, 25-16, and 25-10.

Hamlin’s Ally Abraham tallied 17 kills, while Addie Neuendorf logged eight kills, eight digs, and one block. Ava Prouty had 11 digs, while Grace Opdahl had five digs and three aces. Kami Wadsworth had 29 assists, while Marissa Bawdon added three aces.

Deuel’s Emma Hamann had five kills and eight digs, while Josie Andersen had three kills, eight digs, and four assists. Annika Kriz logged 14 digs, while Kayden Russell had six assists and one ace. Emma Sattler tallied one block and one ace.


Leola/Frederick Area 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0 

MILLER — Leola/Frederick Area swept Sunshine Bible Academy in high school volleyball action on Friday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-12, and 25-18.

Leola/Frederick Area’s Kalyce Achen led with 10 kills, while Chloe Arneson had seven kills and 17 digs. Jocelyn Ellwein had 15 digs and 22 assists, while Olivia Morlock had four aces and three assists. Kaitlyn Mueller had two aces.

SBA’s Rylee Nelson had three kills and two blocks, while Annaliese Van Zee had three kills and three aces. Abby Hinman had four digs. Betra Amare had three digs and four assists, while Kimberly Robbins had three digs. 


Florence/Henry 3, Webster Area 0

WEBSTER — Florence/Henry swept Webster Area in straight sets for a high school volleyball win. The set scores were 25-18, 25-16, and 25-15.

Florence/Henry’s Caylin Kelly finished with 19 kills, 22 digs, and three blocks, while Taylor Watson had six kills, 25 digs, and four aces. Reese Schmidt had 23 assists, while Trinity Watson had two blocks. Jozie Wyatt added two aces.

Webster Area stats were not reported.


Great Plains Lutheran 3, Wilmot 0

WILMOT — Great Plains Lutheran swept Wilmot in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Friday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-20, and 25-23.

Wilmot’s Kayla Hamman and Adrienne High Eagle each had five kills, while Ashlyn Ebben and Stacia Redday each had two aces.

Great Plains Lutheran stats were not reported.


Waubay/Summit 3, Waverly-South Shore 1

SUMMIT — Waubay/Summit picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Waverly-South Shore on Friday. The set scores were 25-17, 21-25, 25-20, and 25-17.

Waubay/Summit’s Liza Purdy had 10 kills, four digs, and three aces. Ava Breske had nine kills, while Kylee Marx finished with eight kills and six digs. Katie Karst added 15 digs, while Katie Minder added five aces.

Waverly-South Shore stats were not reported.


Castlewood 3, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 1

RAMONA — Castlewood picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Friday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, and 25-22.

Castlewood’s Kenzie Everson finished with 17 kills, 14 digs, three blocks, and three aces. Maddie Horn tallied nine kills, while Presley Knecht had eight kills, 13 digs, five blocks, and two aces. Gracie Haug had 18 digs and 34 assists, while Emerson Carter added three blocks.

ORR’s Julia Trygstad had 19 kills and three blocks, while Bailey Hyland had 10 kills and 15 digs. Paige Hanson tallied 25 assists, two blocks, and two aces, while Alivia Bickett had 15 digs. Brooklyn Hageman had 14 assists, while Camlin Schneider added two aces.


Beresford 3, Parker 0

BERESFORD — Beresford swept Parker in straight sets in Friday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-17 and 25-12.

Beresford’s Irelyn Fickbohm logged six kills, while Megan DeLay had five kills. Larissa Tiedeman and Addy Wills had six and five assists, respectively. Rachel Zanter logged 10 digs, while Autumn Namminga and Savannah Beeson posted five digs apiece. 

Parker’s Halle Berens finished with nine kills, 25 digs, one block and one ace. Clara Montero posted five kills and two blocks. Jenna Van Velzen had three kills and nine digs. Hailey Phillips had 23 digs, while Aspen Rand had 21 digs. Braelyn Berens finished with 17 digs, while Terryn Fuller logged nine assists, 10 digs, two kills and one block. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Madison 1 

MADISON — Elk Point-Jefferson picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Madison in Friday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 26-24, 19-25 and 25-23.

EPJ’s Bentlee Kollbaum and Natalie Hewertz logged 14 kills apiece. Danica Torrez had four aces and 14 digs. Alyssa Chytka had 35 digs and Sophia Giorgio had 42 assists. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson logged 23 kills, 15 digs, three blocks and two aces. Amanda Vacanti posted 12 kills, 15 assists and four blocks. Maycee Theede finished with 20 digs, while Karley Theede posted 17 assists. Karley Lurz added three blocks.
