Wolsey-Wessington 3, Faulkton Area 0

WOLSEY — Class B No. 5 Wolsey-Wessington swept Faulkton Area in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-14, and 25-15.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Mya Boomsma logged 10 kills, 18 digs, four aces, and three blocks. Mallory Miller had 10 kills, while Lainey Uttecht tallied 18 digs and two aces. Leah Williams had 14 digs and three aces, while Kailynn Dorris had six kills and two blocks. Taylor Horn added 28 assists.

Faulkton Area’s Addison Melius had 11 kills, while Kelli Stoecker had five kills. Carley Cotton had 11 digs and one ace, while Gabby Kast had 22 assists, 10 digs, and one ace. Trisha Cramer had eight digs.

 


Miller 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

MILLER — Class A No. 5 Miller swept Highmore-Harrold in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-5, 25-15, and 25-10.

Miller’s Jaden Werdel led with 14 kills, nine digs, and one ace, while Aleah Schlechter tallied eight kills. Ally Mullaney had five kills, while Tricia Lammers had four kills. Jolie Palmer led with 19 digs and one ace, while Tyra Gates logged 10 digs and 25 assists. Journey Palmer had six digs, while Abbi Blake added one ace.

Highmore-Harrold’s Kendall Cermak led with three kills, while Brooke Palmer had two kills and 18 digs. Kenidey Effling tallied 14 digs, while Brooklyn Baloun added five assists.


Platte-Geddes 3, Ethan 0

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes swept Ethan for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-17, and 25-11.

Platte-Geddes was led by Regan Hoffman with 14 kills, 17 digs, and two blocks, while Karly VanDerWerff tallied 11 kills, 14 digs, and two aces. Cadence Van Zee logged six kills, nine digs, and three aces, while Avery DeVries had 33 assists and seven digs. Baleigh Nachtigal and Hadley Hanson each had eight digs.

Ethan’s Marissa Storm had four kills, five digs, three aces, and two blocks, while Ava Lingemann had 11 digs. Claire Mellegaard had 10 digs, while Aubrie Biteler had six digs and six assists.


Burke 3, Parkston 0 

BURKE — Class B No. 3 Burke swept Parkston in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-16, and 25-23.

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl tallied 13 kills and 19 digs, while Kailee Frank had 12 kills, 12 digs, and four aces. Emmie Hausmann had seven kills, while Elle Johnson had 20 digs and two aces. Paige Bull had two blocks, while Elly Witt and Ava Sargent added 20 and nine assists, respectively. Witt also recorded her 1,000th career assist. 

Parkston’s Mya Nuebel logged 13 kills, 17 digs, and three aces, while Gracie Oakley had nine kills. Faith Oakley added 15 digs and 22 assists.


Corsica-Stickney 3, Colome 1

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney topped Colome in four sets in a Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 16-25, 25-20 and 25-14.

Corsica-Stickney’s Payton DeLange finished with 17 kills and 13 digs. Ashlyn Lefers posted eight kills and nine digs. Jacey Kemp and Brooklyn Bosma logged six kills apiece, while Bosma had 11 digs. Sophie DeLange logged four kills and three digs. Sutten Eide added 32 assists, 19 digs and two aces. Cali Vanden Hoek had 27 digs, while Mara Lagge posted nine digs. 

Colome’s Toree Ringing Shield recorded 10 kills, 14 digs and two blocks. Maura Luedke finished with seven kills, four digs and two blocks. Landi Krumpus finished with 27 digs. Sophie Hofeldt added seven digs, five kills and two blocks. Ashlyn Hoffine recorded 20 digs and three kills. Devan Daughtery added 22 digs and four aces. Jordyn Ring finished with 14 assists and 14 digs. 

 



Menno 3, Scotland 1

MENNO — Menno picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Scotland on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-18, 27-25, 20-25, and 28-26.

Menno’s Josephine Stokes led with eight kills and two blocks, while Julia Buechler had six kills and 16 digs. Morgan Freier had six kills and five digs, while Ashton Massey tallied five kills and three blocks. Abby Bender and Alana Fergen had 10 and seven assists, while Maggie Miller and Madelyn Kludt had 14 and 11 digs, respectively. Halle VanHove added nine digs.

Scotland’s Trinity Bietz logged 17 kills, 15 digs, and two aces, while Martina DeBoer had eight kills, 17 digs, and eight blocks. Kalley Vitek had 16 digs, six assists, and three aces, while Bailey Vitek had 22 digs. Claire Janish tallied 19 assists and 13 digs, while Grace Robb added six aces.

 



Howard 3, Irene-Wakonda 0

HOWARD — Howard swept Irene-Wakonda in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 34-32, 25-22, and 25-18.

Howard’s Kate Connor led with 18 kills and four blocks, while Abby Aslesen tallied 10 kills and two blocks. Canyon Kid totaled 21 digs and one ace, while Piper Thompson had 17 digs. Rylee Rudebusch had 24 assists and two aces.

Irene-Wakonda’s Madison Orr logged 14 kills and four blocks, while Emma Marshall had six kills, six blocks, and one ace. Quinn McDonald tallied 24 digs, while Emerson Flynn had 19 digs, five assists, and five aces. Hailey Orr had 16 digs and three assists.


Garretson 3, Madison 2

MADISON — Garretson outlasted Madison in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 22-25, 13-25, 25-14, and 15-12.

Garretson’s Logan Bly led with 17 kills, while Kaylin Koch had 11 kills, 21 digs, and two blocks. Aleah Wagner had 15 digs and three aces, while Tayler Benson had two aces. Grace Hove and Sydney Olson had 19 and 16 assists, respectively.

Madison’s Audrey Nelson stuffed the stat sheet with 26 kills, 19 digs, six blocks, and two aces. Amanda Vacanti had seven kills, 12 assists, and six aces, while Maycee Theede had 19 digs. Karley Theede had 20 assists, while Ellie Osthus added two blocks.


Tea Area 3 Yankton 2

YANKTON — Tea Area outlasted Yankton for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 23-25, 25-20, 16-25, and 10-15.

Yankton’s Macy Drotzmann had 11 kills, 22 digs, one block, and one ace. Camille McDermott had five kills, 21 digs, and 37 assists, while Chayse Drotzmann added five kills and 15 digs.

Tea Area stats were not reported.


Florence/Henry 3, Waubay/Summit 0

WAUBAY — Florence/Henry swept Waubay/Summit for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-15, and 25-15.

Florence/Henry’s Caylin Kelly tallied 14 kills and 13 digs, while Trinity Watson had seven kills and two blocks. Taylor Watson had 14 digs and one block, while Macey Lane had 14 digs and two aces. Jozie Hyatt had five aces, while Reese Schmidt and Kaija Gusso added 26 and 13 assists, respectively.

Waubay/Summit’s Liza Purdy led with four kills and 13 digs, while Kylee Marx and Katie Karst had two kills and five digs apiece.


Ipswich 3, North Central 0

IPSWICH — Ipswich swept North Central in high school volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-9, and 25-15.

Ipswich’s Gracie Lange had nine kills, four aces, and three assists, while Baylee Kulesa tallied seven kills and 14 digs. Marley Guthmiller had four kills and five assists, while Madison Gedtiz had 11 digs. Quincy Olivier logged 19 assists and three aces, while also recording her 1,000th assist.

North Central’s Natalie Bieber tallied six kills, while Amree Vander Vorst and Billie Jo Hoffman each had three kills. Hoffman added eight digs. Jenisa Jacobs had 17 digs, while Kaitlyn Hoerner had 13 assists. Sydney Bertsch added two aces.


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Sioux Valley 0

VOLGA — Elkton-Lake Benton swept SIoux Valley in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-11, and 25-16.

Elkton-Lake Benton was led by Rachael Krog with 10 kills, 16 digs, and two aces, while Andrea Renkly tallied 10 kills. Kailyn Drietz logged seven kills and 11 digs, while Kayla Goertz had 14 digs. Tevan Erickson finished with 36 assists, four aces, and four digs, while Kinsley Krog had 10 digs. Kylie Ramlo added five kills and five digs.

Sioux Valley’s Ashley Bjerke had five kills, 10 digs, and nine assists, while Landree Wilson had five kills and eight digs. Kaedyn Sapp had four kills, while Sunny Hesby had seven digs. Talya Vincent added six digs.


West Central 3, Parker 0

HARTFORD — West Central swept Parker in straight sets to pick up a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-10, and 25-7.

West Central’s Josephine Dinges led with seven kills, while Aubree Miller logged six kills, 10 assists, and two aces. Landry Heath finished with 15 digs and two aces, while Jocelyn Nelson had 11 digs. Maria Peterson had four aces, while Ellie Lienhard added 13 assists.

Parker stats were not reported.


Dell Rapids 3, Beresford 0 

BERESFORD — Dell Rapids swept Beresford in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-19, and 25-18.

Dell Rapids was led by Madelynn Henry with 13 kills and six digs, while Kylee Fiddelke had 11 kills and two aces. Lauryn Kloth had seven kills, while Sophi Randall had five kills, four blocks, 38 assists, six digs, and five aces. Alaina Wolff added 11 digs.

Beresford’s Rachel Zanter had eight digs, while McKayla Roelke had seven digs. Maddie Erickson, Irelyn Fickbohm, Megan DeLay, and Savannah Beeson each had two kills.


Avon 3, Bon Homme 0

AVON — Avon swept Bon Homme in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-17, and 25-23.

Avon’s Courtney Sees logged 13 kills, 22 digs, and three aces, while Lila Vanderlei had six kills and two blocks. Lexi Vanderlei had five kills, 14 digs, and two aces. McKenna Kochmich had 28 assists and one ace, while Sarah Swier added nine digs.

Bon Homme’s Taycee Ranek finished with 14 kills, while Kenadee Kozak had seven kills. Erin Heusinkveld had nine digs and two blocks, while Jaden Kortan had nine digs, 26 assists, and one ace. Jenna Duffek added two aces. 

 



Harrisburg 3, Sioux Falls O’Gorman 0

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 3 Harrisburg swept Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls O’Gorman in straight sets in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-16, and 25-17.

Harrisburg’s Morissen Samuels led with 12 kills, 18 digs, three blocks, and two aces. Gabrielle Zachariasen tallied eight kills, while Maggie Meister had 20 digs and one ace. Kayleigh Hybertson added 24 assists.

O’Gorman’s Bergen Reilly led with 27 kills and seven blocks, while Gabriella Jones logged 66 digs. Brooke Harvison added 20 assists.
