SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 1 Harrisburg topped Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls O’Gorman in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-19.

Hamlin 3, Clark/Willow Lake 0

HAYTI — Hamlin handed Class A No. 4 Clark/Willow Lake its first loss of the season during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-15 and 25-23.

Hamlin’s Addie Jensen had 12 kills, Addie Neuendorf recorded 11 kills, Jade Thue had eight kills, Issie Steffensen dished out 32 assists and two aces, while Jayci Trowbridge had 14 digs and four aces in the win.

CWL’s Shelby Begeman had nine kills and two aces, Ella Sass added seven kills and eight blocks, Zoe Nichols recorded 12 assists while Zoey Helkenn had eight digs in the loss.

Dell Rapids St. Mary 3, Colman-Egan 2

COLMAN — Dell Rapids St. Mary edged Colman-Egan in a five-set match during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 17-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-21 and 15-12.

St. Mary’s Emersyn Herber had 15 kills and 10 digs, Maddyn LeBrun tallied seven kills and eight digs, Harper Werdel netted seven kills and 24 digs, Natalie Gilbert had 34 assists and 10 digs,  while Layla Joe Hanson tallied 29 digs in the win.

For CE, Brynlee Landis had 13 kills and five blocks, Michoen Williamson had five kills and three blocks, Finley Luze dished out 15 assists and two aces, Harper Mousel had 12 assists, Mauryn Landis and Kinley Geigle each had nine digs while Caelee LeBrun totaled 11 digs, eight kills and three blocks in the loss.

Leola/Frederick Area 3, Gettysburg 2

LEOLA — Leola/Frederick Area outlasted Gettysburg in a five-set thriller during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 14-25 and 15-11.

Kaitlyn Mueller had 12 kills and 23 digs, Kalyce Achen had 11 kills and 28 digs, Karli Achen netted eight kills and two blocks, Eden Podoll dished out 22 assists and two aces while Tayler Vetter had 10 assists in the win.

Gettysburg’s stats were not reported.

Chester 3, Bridgewater-Emery 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 1 Chester swept Bridgewater-Emery in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-17 and 25-16.

Chester’s Lily Van Hal posted 12 kills and 21 assists. Jacy Wolf recorded 15 digs, 11 kills and 10 assists. Emmerson Eppard had three aces and Kaytee Wold posted two aces. Gracie Huntimer had 21 digs. 

For BE, Oakley Weber recorded eight kills, 14 digs and 11 assists. Lily Hilton recorded 15 assists. Macie Weber had 17 digs. Maizey Strombeck had 10 digs and one ace. Summer Koch had two blocks. Reese Meyer-Bublitz had six kills. Kadyn Glanzer recorded one ace. 

Northwestern 3, North Central 1

MELLETTE — Class B No. 2 Northwestern defeated North Central in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 24-26, 25-19 and 25-12.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 24 kills and four blocks. Breelyn Satter and Ella Boekelheide had nine kills apiece. Boekelheide added 41 assists and 15 digs. Lila Johnson posted nine assists, 16 digs and five aces. Brenna Halvorson and Sophia Troske had two aces apiece. Troske added 18 digs. Satter and Kylee Henjum had two blocks apiece.

For North Central, Amree VanderVorst had 15 kills, 15 digs and two aces. Ella Battie posted 11 kills and one block. Lindsey Geier totaled six kills and one ace. Ashton Heyne had four aces and four assists. Camryn Witlock had 25 assists and 10 digs. Alaina Dosch totaled 15 digs. Kaidence Bulgin had two blocks and Tylee VanderVorst had one block. 

Ethan 3, Platte-Geddes 1

ETHAN — Ethan topped Platte-Geddes in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 27-29, 25-19, 25-22 and 25-23.

Platte-Geddes’ Kori VanDerWerff recorded 19 kills. Taylor Shrank added 10 kills and 15 digs. Claire Maydew totaled three kills, two aces and two blocks. Kolbi Hoffman finished with 25 assists. Peyton DeJong had nine digs and Ava Olson added seven digs. Berkley Block had two blocks.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Wessington Springs 0

HITCHCOCK — Class B No. 4 Hitchcock-Tulare swept Wessington Springs in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-17.

HT’s Emmerie Arthurs posted 10 digs, nine kills and two aces. Rebecca Huizenga added five kills and two blocks. Cora Hofer totaled 10 kills and one block. Gracyn Bixler recorded 29 assists and one block. Avarie Estey had 13 digs and one ace. Olivia Knox added 11 digs. 

For Wessington Springs, Kaitlyn Braun and Raygen Teveldal had two kills apiece. Logan Mohling recorded seven digs, eight assists and one ace. Remie Roduner had 30 digs.

Miller 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

HIGHMORE — Miller swept Highmore-Harrold in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-17.

Miller’s Olivia Nye recorded one dig, eight kills and seven digs. Paige Werdel posted seven kills. Gracen Werdel posted 24 assists and eight digs. Jolie Palmer had five aces and 15 digs. Emma Pugh and Kaihlyn Anderberg each had a block. 

For Highmore-Harrold, Jada Baloun and Jaylee Fallis recorded three kills apiece. Addison McDonnell had two aces and one block. Tenley McDonnell and Carly Stephenson had six assists apiece. Lainee Ping had 11 digs and Destiny McCauley had eight digs. Kaydence Hobert had a block. 

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 1

FORESTBURG — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket defeated Mount Vernon/Plankinton in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 17-25, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-17.

SCW’s Addy Bartholow posted 25 kills, 16 digs and two aces. Liz Boschee totaled 14 kills and 11 digs. Kenzie Baruth had six kills and 20 digs. Kali Hofer had two kills, 19 digs and 23 assists. Hudson Fouberg had 20 digs. Addison Baruth posted 11 assists and five digs. Tori Hoffman had three digs and six assists. Cami Edwards had 11 digs and four aces. 

For MVP, Madalynn Lorang had 23 kills and 23 digs. Addisyn Everson had two blocks. Layce Bruns totaled 17 assists. 

Iroquois/Lake Preston 3, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 1

IROQUOIS — Iroquois/Lake Preston defeated Oldham-Ramona/Rutland in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 19-25, 25-19, 25-14 and 25-17.

ILP’s Hadlee Holt recorded 13 kills, 31 digs and one block. Bentlee Holt totaled seven kills and one block. Brityn Davies had four kills and 17 digs. Madisen Steffensen recorded 17 digs and two aces. Alise Hope and Sydney Bonomi had three aces apiece. Bonomi added 27 assists.

For ORR, Brookelyn Riedel had 12 kills and four assists. Rylan Pearson posted 16 digs, five kills and one ace. Gabby Pickard totaled 26 digs and one ace. Jordyn Reagle had 15 digs. Logyn Reagle and Hattie Hanson each had aces. Emma Powell recorded two blocks and Madi Merager had one block. 

Redfield 3, Tiospa Zina 0

REDFIELD — Redfield swept Tiospa Zina in a three-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-2 and 25-12.

Redfield’s Hayden Gall posted 10 kills, seven assists and four digs. Kinley Smith had six kills and seven aces. Layla Hardie totaled five aces and 10 assists. Katryn Evans posted three digs.

Tiospa Zina stats were not reported.

Mobridge-Pollock 3, Sully Buttes 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Sully Buttes during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-23 and 25-15.

MP’s Hayleigh Schlomer tallied nine kills, Blake Thompson had seven kills and five aces and Bentley Bauer had six kills and an ace. Ellie Kemnitz dished out 18 assists while Avery Schlomer tallied 10 assists in the win.
