Pierre 3, Huron 2

PIERRE — Pierre outlasted Huron in a five-set high school volleyball marathon match on Tuesday. The set scores were 19-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-12 and 18-16.

The Governors finished with 48 kills, while Huron racked up 47 kills in the five-set thriller. 

Pierre’s Reese Terwilliger finished with 13 kills, while Ayvrie Kaiser posted 11 kills and two aces. Lily Sanchez added nine kills and 16 assists. Campbell Boddicker and Makayla Sherwood posted six and five kills, respectively. Sherwood added five blocks. Aleise Christopherson finished with 19 assists. 

Huron’s Brynn Gose finished with 13 kills, while Heavan Gainey logged 12 kills. Karsyn Kopfmann finished with 10 kills and two blocks. Elin Schoenhard finished with two blocks. 


Burke 3, Avon 0

AVON — Class B No. 3 Burke swept Avon in high school volleyball action on Tuesday. THe set scores were 25-6, 25-21, and 25-14.

Burke was led by Adisyn Indahl with 13 kills and 11 digs, while Kailee Frank logged 12 kills and five aces. Paige Bull and Emmie Hausmann each tallied six kills, while Elle Johnson had 16 digs. Elly Witt and Ava Sargent adde 19 and 12 assists, respectively.

Avon’s Courtney Sees had nine kills, while Gracie Small and Lila Vanderlei had three kills each. Vanderlei also had nine digs and four aces. Lexi Vanderlei tallied 10 digs, while Sarah Swier logged nine digs. McKenna Kochmich added 15 assists.


Platte-Geddes 3, Parkston 0

PLATTE — Class A No. 5 Platte-Geddes swept Parkston in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-23, and 25-15.

Platte-Geddes was led by Karly VanDerWerff with 16 kills and nine digs, while Regan Hoffman tallied nine kills and 11 digs. Addison DeVries had four kills and five digs, while Emerson Ringling and Baleigh Nachtigal each had three kills. Hadley Hanson logged 11 digs and six aces, while Karsen Sondgeroth had eight digs. Avery DeVries added 21 assists, four aces, and three digs.

Parkston’s Gracie Oakley had eight kills and eight digs, while Mya Nuebel tallied seven kills and seven digs. Avery Bogenreif and Kiauna Hargens also had seven digs apiece, while Bogenreif also had 14 assists. Allie Hobbick added six digs and four assists.


Arlington 3, Deuel 0

ARLINGTON — Arlington swept Deuel in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-6, 25-14, and 25-13.

Arlington’s Addie Steffensen had 10 kills, while Harley Johnson logged nine kills, seven digs, and four aces. Tanaya Weiss recorded 29 assists, seven digs, and four aces.

Deuel’s Harley Hennings had five kills, while Emma Hamann tallied four kills, eight digs, and one ace. Josie Anderson recorded seven assists and six digs, while Emma Sattler had three kills.


Lennox 3, Parker 0

PARKER — Lennox swept Parker in straight sets in high school volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-12, and 25-16.

Lennox was led by Annika Kollis with five kills and two blocks, while Ella Grengs recorded four kills, six assists, two digs, and two blocks. Kyah Jackson had seven assists, three aces, and two digs, while Dani Highum had six digs and two kills. Ashlee Sweeter had five digs and two aces, while Kate Jackson added three digs and two aces.

Parker’s Halle Berens logged four kills and 38 digs, while Aspen Rand led with 42 digs. Hailey Phillips had 17 digs, while Terryn Fuller added 10 digs and five assists.


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Groton Area 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Groton Area for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-18, and 25-18.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Ryli Thompson led with nine kills, while Charley Henderson tallied seven kills. Emily Hatzenbuehler logged six kills, while Raelyn Aberle had four kills and 12 digs. Emma Keller had four kills, eight digs, 20 assists, and one ace, while Reagan Weisbeck led with 23 digs. Katy Kemnitz added eight assists, seven digs, and one ace.

Groton Area’s Sydney Leicht led with 12 kills, while Aspen Johnson tallied seven kills and two blocks. Anna Fjeldheim logged five kills, while Liz Fliehs had 27 assists and one ace. Carly Guthmiller and Jerica Locke added 16 and 13 digs, respectively.


Highmore-Harrold 3, Sully Buttes 1

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold defeated Sully Buttes in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-13, 28-26, 19-25 and 25-22.

Highmore-Harrold’s Brooke Palmer recorded 12 kills, 20 digs and three aces. Kendall Cermak added eight kills, two aces and five blocks. Brooklyn Baloun recorded 26 assists, while Reghan Westcott finished with 23 digs. Kenidey Effling finished with two aces and 16 digs. 

Sully Buttes’ Allyson Wittler and Stevie Wittler finished with nine kills apiece. Stevie Wittler and Calleigh Chicoine had 12 assists apiece. Chicoine had two aces and Allyson Wittler had one ace. 


Leola/Frederick Area 3, North Central 0 

EUREKA — Leola/Frederick Area swept North Central for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-17, and 25-23.

LeolaFrederick Area’s Sofia Losure logged 11 kills, 13 digs, and three blocks, while Laura Sumption tallied seven kills and one block. Jocelynn Ellwein had 20 assists and two aces, while Morgan Sumption had nine digs. Kaitlyn Mueller added two aces.

North Central was led by Amree Vander Vorst with seven kills and 14 digs, while Billie Jo Hoffman had six kills. Natalie Bieber logged five kills, while Jenisa Jacobs recorded 15 digs. Kaitlyn Hoerner added 13 assists.


Faulkton Area 3, Ipswich 0

IPSWICH — Faulkton Area swept Ipswich in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-16, and 25-11.

Faulkton Area’s Kelli Stoecker led with eight kills and two aces, while Carley Cotton had five kills and 11 digs. Gabby Kast added 23 assists and seven digs.

Ipswich was led by Baylee Kulesa with six kills and seven digs. Madison Geditz tallied nine digs and one ace, while Reaghan Bowers had five assists. Marley Guthmiller and Kaylin Onkin each had two kills.


Hamlin 3, Sioux Valley 0

HAYTI — Hamlin swept Sioux Valley in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-20, and 25-19.

Hamlin’s Ally Abraham led with  17 kills and three aces, while Gracelyn Leiseth tallied 11 kills. Kami Wadsworth logged 40 assists, while Ava Prouty and Marissa Bawdon had 17 and 13 digs, respectively.

Sioux Valley’s Landree Wilson led with 11 kills, while Kaedyn Sapp had nine kills and two aces. Talya Vincent had 19 digs, while Ashley Bjerke had 10 digs and 15 assists. Jada Knutson added three blocks.


Hanson 3, Centerville 1

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Centerville on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-18, 24-26, and 25-17.

Hanson’s Annalyse Weber led with 12 kills and 14 digs, while Kylie Haiar logged 11 kills, nine digs, and two aces. Jalyn Kampshoff had 33 assists, while Jersey Kampshoff and Cadence Jarding had 24 and 14 digs, respectively. Claire Bridge added 11 digs.

Centerville’s Thea Gust recorded 13 kills, 11 digs, and three aces, while Lillie Eide had five kills and eight digs. Keira Austin totaled 17 assists and nine digs, while Bailey Hansen and Mackenzie Meyer had 21 and 13 digs, respectively.


Canistota 3, Menno 1

MENNO — Canistota defeated Menno in a four-set Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 27-25, 26-24, 18-25 and 25-21.

Canistota’s Sierra McGregor posted 15 kills and two aces. Natalee Hofer added eight kills, 13 assists, five aces and two blocks. Taylor McGregor logged seven kills, while Natalie Becker finished with 36 digs and three kills. Bailey Spicer finished with 14 assists and three aces. Kayla Papendick added four kills, 14 digs and four aces. 

Menno’s Julia Buechler finished with six kills and 10 digs. Ashton Massey recorded five kills and two blocks. Lexie McNinch finished with four kills and one block. Abby Bender finished with eight assists and five digs. Morgan Freier finished with five digs and three aces. 


Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 3, James Valley Christian 0 

RAMONA — Oldham-Ramona/Rutland swept James Valley Christian in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-22, 12-25, and 25-17.

ORR’s Julia Trygstad led with 10 kills, seven digs, and three blocks, while Alivia Bickett logged seven kills and 13 digs. Bailey Hyland recorded six kills, while Camlin Schneider had three aces. Paige Hanson and Brooklyn Hageman added 12 and seven assists, respectively.

JVC was led by Kaylie Robinson with 12 kills, 11 assists, and one ace, while Regan Rink tallied 10 kills and two aces. Alexa Goertz had 10 kills, while Colleen Wipf recorded 21 digs and one ace. Jacey Wipf had 12 digs, while Daril Frandsen added 14 assists.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0 

WOONSOCKET — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket swept Sunshine Bible Academy in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-8, and 25-7.

SCW was led by Kenna Ochsner with 13 kills, while Kailynn Eggleston tallied 12 kills. Kenlie Fridley logged 15 assists and three aces, while Bailey Feistner had nine assists and three aces. Bella Fry added eight digs.

SBA was led by Sadie Konechne with three kills, while Betra Amare and Abby Hinman added two assists apiece.


Wagner 3, Scotland 0

SCOTLAND — Class A No. 3 Wagner swept Scotland in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-10 and 25-20.

Wagner’s Shalayne Nagel posted 10 kills and three digs. Kya Kjeldgaard finished with eight kills and one block. Avari Bruguier logged seven kills and eight digs. Emma Yost posted six kills, four digs and three blocks. Shona Kocer recorded four kills, five blocks and three digs. Macy Koupal added 27 assists, three digs and three aces. Madi Knebel posted nine digs. 

Scotland’s Grace Robb recorded four kills and six digs. Martina DeBoer had three kills and three digs. Trinity Bietz added three kills and eight digs. Bailey Vitek had five digs and three aces. Claire Janish recorded six assists and 10 digs. Kalley Vitek added two kills, three assists, four digs and one ace. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, West Central 0

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton swept West Central in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-15 and 25-22.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Kailyn Drietz posted nine kills and nine digs. Rachael Krog finished with eight kills and 15 digs. Andrea Renkly added nine kills, four digs and three aces. Kylie Ramlo recorded five kills and 12 digs. Tevan Erickson finished with 31 assists. 

West Central’s Stormee Klein posted six kills, while Aubree Miller added five kills and two block assists. Josephine Dinges posted two aces. Jocelyn Nilson and Kaia Gabbert logged 14 and 12 digs, respectively. Ellie Lienhard dished out eight assists. Marissa Dobbs had a solo block and a block assist.


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Viborg-Hurley 1

VIBORG — Elk Point-Jefferson earned a four-set high school volleyball win over Viborg-Hurley on Tuesday. The set scores were 21-25, 25-23, 25-16 and 25-15.

EPJ’s Bentlee Kollbaum posted 16 kills, seven digs and two aces. Danica Torrez logged six kills, 10 digs and two aces. Jolie Curry added six kills and four blocks. Natalie Heuertz had four kills. Sophia Giorgio logged 32 assists, 10 digs and three aces. Ashley Brewer finished with seven kills and three digs. Alyssa Chytka finished with 28 digs. Kaitlyn VanRoekel finished with 17 digs, while Hannah Nearman had 11 digs. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Denae Mach posted 11 kills and 15 digs. Coral Mason added 10 kills and 16 digs. Charley Nelson finished with 29 digs, while Jenna Graves had 13 digs and three aces. Mataya Vannorsdel dished out 23 assists. 


Deubrook Area 3, Milbank 1

WHITE — Deubrook Area swept Milbank in straight sets in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-18 and 25-17.

Deubrook Area’s Miranda Moravetz logged 12 kills and 10 digs. Zoey Molengraaf logged 11 kills, while Skyla Petersen and Brooke Koppatschek had eight kills apiece. Koppatschek dished out 23 assists. Ellie Koenig had nine assists. Delaney Pedersen finished with 19 digs, while Taylor Ekern had 15 digs. Petersen and Molengraaf had two blocks apiece. 

Milbank’s Rachel Schulte finished with nine kills and 15 digs. Claire Snaza added five kills and one block. Averie Engebretson posted 17 assists and 17 digs. Emily Wollschlager recorded 17 digs. Addisyn Krause posted 13 digs. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Brookings 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 4 Sioux Falls Jefferson swept Brookings in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-18 and 26-24.

Jefferson’s Maddie Paulsen posted nine kills and three blocks. Emory Brosnahan added eight kills, while Ella Kvernmo had six kills and 10 digs. Brooke Thorstenson finished with six kills. Presly Pastian dished out 29 assists and had two aces. Cora Hokenstad and Kendall Kniffen had 14 and 11 digs, respectively. Brooke Bowen added three aces. 

Brookings stats were not reported. 


Western Christian (Iowa) 3, Harrisburg 0

HARRISBURG — Western Christian (Iowa) swept Harrisburg in straight sets in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-21 and 25-17.

Harrisburg’s Morrisen Samuels finished with 13 kills and two aces. Kayleigh Hybertson recorded 26 assists and 11 digs. Gabrielle Zacharaisen added eight kills, while Maggie Meister posted 16 digs.
