Hanson 3, Parker/Marion 1

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson defeated Parker/Marion in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-16, 11-25 and 25-18.

Hanson’s Ava Doyle finished with 20 kills, 22 digs, seven assists and three aces. Tacey Weber totaled six kills, three blocks and one ace. Brooklyn Schroeder had three kills and three blocks. Audrina Waldera posted 14 assists, four digs and one ace. Taryn Holm finished with one kill, one block, three assists and 15 digs. Claire Bridge added 29 digs. Jozlynn Tegethoff had 17 digs. Avery Squires had three digs and two aces. Alivia Bender had 11 kills, seven digs and two blocks. 

For Parker/Marion, Lanae Waldner totaled seven kills, eight blocks and three digs. Kallie Johnson recorded 17 digs, five kills and two blocks. Mara Mohr recorded nine assists and 17 digs. Hannah Schaffer finished with six assists, two aces and five digs. Braelynn Berens had 23 digs and two aces.  


Chester 3, Tri-Valley 0 

CHESTER — Class B No. 1 Chester swept Tri-Valley in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-5, 25-12 and 25-12. 

Chester’s Lily VanHal recorded 12 kills and 14 assists. Jacy Wolf recorded 11 kills, 13 digs and one block. Kaytee Wold totaled 10 assists and three aces. Gracie Huntimer had four aces and 18 digs. Kaitlyn Swenson had 14 digs. Emmerson Eppard and Emilie Bleeker each had blocks.

For Tri-Valley, Peyton Vogt finished with six kills and 11 digs. Emry Jones posted four kills. Emily Wenzel had 50 assists. Kadence Davey totaled 15 digs and two aces. 


Northwestern 3, Aberdeen Christian 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 2 Northwestern swept Aberdeen Christian in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-14 and 25-14.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 18 kills, 12 digs and three blocks. She also became Northwestern’s all-time leader in career kills with 1,656, surpassing the previous record set by Jussy Tuscherer. Taylor Vetter added 12 kills. Kylee Henjum recorded five kills and two blocks. Ella Boekelheide posted 31 assists and five blocks. Tara Blachford recorded 12 digs and two aces. Elexis Kramp had two aces and three assists. Mikaela Schmitt and Sophia Troske had seven digs apiece. Lilly Haven posted five blocks. 

For Aberdeen Christian, Sophie Glynn recorded seven kills. Jolie Fogarty had 11 digs, six kills and three aces. Avi Johnson recorded five kills. Sawyer Schwan posted 26 assists and one block. Sophia Eichler totaled 15 digs and three blocks. Payton Skarin had 13 digs. Reagan Jett posted three blocks. 


Winner 3, Gregory 0

WINNER — Winner swept Gregory in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-21 and 25-13.

Winner’s Livvy Audiss recorded 15 kills and nine digs. Payton Sargent finished with one block, eight kills and two aces. Gracie Root totaled 24 assists. 

Gregory stats were not reported. 


Burke 3, Avon 0 

BURKE — Class B No. 5 Burke swept Avon in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-11 and 25-20.

Burke’s Emmie Hausmann finished with 22 kills and two blocks. Brianna Davis finished with nine kills and nine digs. Emmy Spencer finished with three kills, four aces, 12 digs and seven assists. Kyrie Matucha posted 16 digs and four aces. Daytona Paris recorded four blocks. Breckynn Pistulka had 19 assists. 

For Avon, Rilyn Thury recorded 16 kills and 10 digs. Kaydence Metzger finished with three kills. Jordyn Voigt had 16 digs. Brielle Voigt had 20 assists and 10 digs. Lexi Vanderlei had 10 digs. 


Wagner 3, Scotland 0 

WAGNER — Wagner swept Scotland in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-5, 25-15 and 25-13.

Wagner’s Ravyn Medricky finished with 11 kills, 11 digs and one block. Brianna Fuchs finished with eight kills, while Hannah Holzbauer posted seven kills and three aces. Braxton Nedved had six digs, three aces and 29 assists. Libby Kotab posted six digs. 

For Scotland, Savannah Meng totaled four kills, four digs and one block. Campbell Mogck totaled four digs and four kills. Kadence Bierle recorded 12 digs and two blocks. 


Miller 3, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 0 

MILLER — Miller swept Mount Vernon/Plankinton in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-16 and 25-23.

Miller’s Paige Werdel finished with 11 kills, 13 digs and one ace. Emma Pugh posted nine kills and 13 digs. Kate Lichty recorded eight kills. Kaihlyn Anderberg recorded three aces, seven kills and 10 digs. Gracen Werdel totaled two aces and 33 assists. Jolie Palmer posted two aces and 21 digs. 

MVP stats were not reported.


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — Sanborn Central-Woonsocket swept Sunshine Bible Academy Tuesday in volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-11 and 25-11.

SCW’s Addison Bartholow had 11 kills and four aces, Liz Boschee tallied nine kills and three blocks, Kali Hofer dished out 11 assists, Cami Edward totaled six digs and three aces while Kenzie Baruth and Hudson Fouberg each had five digs in the win.

For SBA, Ciera MIckelson recorded nine kills, Tessa Hinman had three kills, Dakota Boersma tallied 10 digs while Breanna Thieman had three assists, seven digs and two aces in the loss.


Kadoka Area 3, Lyman 2

PRESHO — Kadoka Area clipped Lyman in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 22-25 and 17-15.

Kadoka Area stats were not reported.

Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery finished with 16 kills and 18 digs. Mak Scott added 11 kills, 21 digs and three blocks. Jordyn Scott finished with 11 kills, nine digs and four blocks. Claire Griffith posted seven kills and 18 digs. Kenzie Wagner had 24 digs, four aces and three kills. Bree Smart finished with 42 assists, 19 digs and four aces.


Canistota 3, Menno 1

CANISTOTA — Canistota beat Menno in four sets during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-23, 17-25 and 25-12.

Canistota’s Ember Schenkel had 12 kills, 18 digs and 10 aces, Emma Sandman added 10 kills and 10 digs, Clara Remacle had 15 digs and three aces, Ellie Becker totaled 22 assists, 15 digs, six aces and four kills while Abby Keller had seven digs and four assists in the win.

For Menno, Lexie McNinch had five kills, four aces and two blocks, Kylie Guthmiller collected four kills, three digs and two aces, Elly Fischer had eight digs while Madison Schaeffer had nine assists and six aces in the loss.


Warner 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 1

TULARE — Class B No. 3 Warner defeated Hitchcock-Tulare in four sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 19-25, 25-10, 25-23 and 25-23.

Warner’s Jaycee Jung had 14 kills, 31 digs, three blocks and an ace, Olivia Marcuson had seven kills, Reagan Wood dished out 20 assists and three aces, Tatum Hanson added 24 assists and two aces, while Keira Steger had 19 digs in the win.

For HT, Rebecca Huizinga had 14 kills, Cora Hofer tallied nine kills and seven blocks. Gracyn Bixler recorded 30 assists, 19 digs and an ace, Cambree Hoekman added 35 digs while Emmerie Arthurs tallied 18 digs in the loss.


North Central 3, Leola/Frederick Area 0

LEOLA — North Central swept Leola/Frederick Area in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-10 and 25-16.

North Central’s Amree Vander Vorst finished with 19 kills and 12 digs. Lindsey Geier finished with six kills, 12 digs and seven aces. Ella Batie recorded five kills, six aces and three aces. Camryn Witlock had 19 assists and three digs. Batie and Kaidence Bulgin each had blocks.

Leola/Frederick Area stats were not reported.


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Viborg-Hurley 0

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson swept Viborg-Hurley in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-12 and 25-15.

EPJ’s Cera Schmitz totaled eight kills, six digs and four aces. Laney Trometer recorded eight aces, nine digs and 27 assists. Paige Jacobs finished with six kills. Kate Hayes had seven kills. Cam Norris and Hailey Schmitz had four kills apiece. Makinley Hammit had six digs. Molly Geary recorded 21 digs.

For Viborg-Hurley, Shelby VanDriel recorded two kills, one block and one assist. Tatum Hauger posted two kills and four assists. Olivia Hanson totaled three digs and one ace. Brooklyn Kessler had three assists.


Hamlin 3, Sioux Valley 0

VOLGA — Hamlin swept Sioux Valley in Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-20 and 25-21.

Hamlin’s Addison Neuendorf had 16 kills and 10 digs, Jade Thue totaled 13 kills, Addelyn Jensen had 10 kills, Issie Steffensen dished out 39 assists, Jaycie Trowbridge totaled 13 digs while Paxton Neuendorf had 12 digs in the win.

For SV, Emma Gorvin had five kills and five digs, Sienna Weiss collected five kills, Macheala Gerasch had nine assists while McKinley Schwab recorded seven assists in the loss.


Deubrook Area 3, Milbank 0

WHITE — Deubrook Area swept Milbank during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-19 and 25-19.

DA’s Carly Engelstad had eight kills, Kylee Johnson recorded six kills, eight assists, 17 digs and two aces, Brynlee Hanson and Matti Ramlo each had four kills, including three blocks from Ramlo and one by Hanson.Makenna Ekern dished out 14 assists, adding eight digs as well, while Neely Gustad tallied 10 digs and four aces in the win.

For Milbank, Belle Pauli had three kills, Kenzie Kooima, Zora Henrich and Avery Schuneman each had four kills. Schuneman dished out 10 assists and 13 digs, while Jaecy Dexter and Pauli each recorded 11 digs in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 3, Chadron (Neb.) 0

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian swept Chadron (Neb.) in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-21. 

Rapid City Christian’s Chloe Weber finished with 10 kills, 10 assists, two aces, one block and 15 digs. Faith King had nine kills, 20 assists and 15 digs. Maddie Altstiel totaled eight kills and two digs. Paisley Griffith totaled two aces and eight digs. Miley Johnson added four kills, four blocks and two digs. Elle King added six digs and one ace. May Callaghan totaled seven digs. Breklyn Hermanson had three kills. Liza Kieffer had one kill and three blocks.
