Miller 3, Chamberlain 0 

CHAMBERLAIN — Class A No. 4 Miller swept Chamberlain in Tuesday night high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-9 and 25-12. 

Pacing the Rustlers was Paige Werdel who finished with 14 kills and a block. Jolie Palmer finished with three aces and eight digs. Olivia Resel finished with 34 assists while Kate Lichty added two aces, six kills and five digs. Aleah Schlechter had nine kills, six digs. 

Stats for Chamberlain were not reported.


Burke 3, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 0

BURKE — Class B No. 2 Burke swept Tripp-Delmont/Armour in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-10, 25-11 and 25-13.

Burke’s Paige Bull finished with 12 kills and five blocks. Emmie Hausmann added 10 kills and one block. Kailee Frank posted eight kills and nine digs. Ava Sargent posted seven kills and 13 assists. Kyrie Matucha logged 17 digs. Emmy Spencer had 10 assists and two aces. Brecken Pistulka had three aces. 

For TDA, Mia Reiner recorded six kills and nine digs. Sara Bertram posted six digs and Kinley Spaans added 11 assists.


Chester Area 3, Deubrook Area 0

WHITE — Class B No. 1 Chester Area defeated Deubrook Area in straight sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-15, and 25-11.

Jacy Wolf tallied 14 kills, Emmerson Eppard had 10 kills and 19 digs, Lily Van Hal dished out 28 assists, Gracie Huntimer recorded 15 digs, while Katelyn Schut had two blocks in the win.

Deubrook Area’s Kylee Johnson tallied seven kills, Zoey Molengraaf had four kills and two blocks, Matte Bauman recorded 13 assists and nine digs, while Makenna Ekern had six digs in the loss for Deubrook Area.

 

Ethan 3, Bridgewater-Emery 2

EMERY — Ethan outlasted Bridgewater-Emery in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 14-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20 and 15-9.

Ethan’s Marissa Storm logged 20 kills, 16 digs and three aces. Taziah Hawkins posted 17 kills and 22 digs. Verity Thomas added eight kills, while Rachel Klock posted four kills, four blocks and six digs. Anna Castillo had 42 assists and 13 digs. Anna Mellegaard had 24 digs and Rachel Weisz posted 10 digs. 

BE’s Oakley Weber finished with 15 kills, 15 assists and 21 digs. Hayden Hofer added 10 kills, 18 assists and four aces. Maizey Strombeck logged 17 digs. Macie Weber recorded eight kills, while Summer Koch posted six kills and two blocks. Reese Meyer-Bublitz added two kills and three blocks. Jenna Zulk posted six kills.

Northwestern 3, Redfield 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 5 Northwestern swept Redfield during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-9, and 25-12.

Ashley Haven had 17 kills, three aces, and three blocks, Anna Brumfield tallied seven kills, Ella Boekelheide dished out 32 assists, nine digs, and three aces, Payton Grandpre had 10 digs, while Ana Ratigan tallied five kills and three blocks in the loss.

Redfield’s Charli Jungwirth recorded four kills, Hayden Gall had six assists, 3 blocks, and an ace, while Brooklynn Rische recorded five digs in the loss.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

HIGHMORE — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket swept Highmore-Harrold in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-19 and 25-14. 

Leading Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was Kaylie Robinson who had 11 kills, three aces and two blocks. Alexa Goertz finished with nine kills and two blocks. Kenzie Schley added 13 assists and nine digs while Kali Hofer chipped in with 13 assists and ten digs. 

Jada Baloun led Highmore-Harrold with seven kills and an ace. Brooklyn Baloun had 14 assists and nine digs. Callie Chavez contributed 12 digs and Addison McDonnell had a block. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — Class B No. 4 Hitchcock-Tulare defeated Sunshine Bible Academy in straight sets during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-6, and 25-6.

HT’s Lila Johnson tallied 18 assists, five digs, and nine aces, Isabel Gilbert had five kills and two blocks, Katelyn Schroeder recorded eight kills and five digs, Gracyn Bixler had four aces and six assists, while Cora Hofer had four kills in the win as well.

SBA’s Abby Hinman had one kill and one assist, Dakota Boersma tallied a kill and a block, while Tessa Hinman had five digs in the loss.


Western Christian (Iowa) 3, Sioux Falls Christian 1

SIOUX FALLS — Western Christian earned a four-set victory over Class A No. 3 Sioux Falls Christian during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 18-25, 25-19, and 25-19.

SFC’s Brietta Tims tallied 13 kills and eight digs, Camdyn Mulder recorded nine kills and two blocks, Chloe Bosma had 13 digs and three assists, Addisen Barber had 32 assists, 10 digs, and four kills, while Rachel Dieleman tallied seven kills and four blocks in the loss.


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 0

EAGLE BUTTE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-16 and 25-13.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Grace Overland and Raelyn Aberle finished with seven kills apiece. Tegan Konold added five kills and six aces. Pacey Konold and Amber Vetch posted three aces apiece. Ellie Kemnitz logged 10 assists and Sophia Overland posted nine assists. Kemnitz and Tegan Konold had six digs. Sophia Overland and Pacey Konold had five digs apiece. 

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte stats were not reported. 

 

Winner 3, Todd County 0

WINNER — Winner earned a straight set sweep over Todd County during Tuesday’s volleyball roundup. The set scores were 25-11, 25-15, and 25-11.

Livvy Audiss had seven kills and 10 digs, Cora Moss tallied 13 digs and six aces, Gracie Root dished out 22 assists and one block, while Keelie Kuil had six kills in the win as well.

Todd County’s stats were not reported.


Flandreau 3, Elkton-Lake Benton 1

LAKE BENTON — Flandreau picked up a four-set win over Elkton-Lake Benton in Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 21-25, 25-18 and 25-13. 

Leading the Fliers was Sadie Iott who had ten kills, two aces and 33 digs. Ella Hoffman recorded 11 kills while Aly Schepel led with 21 assists. Addy Hammer added 15 digs and a block for Flandreau. 

Andrea Renkly powered Elkton-Lake Benton with 21 kills and 16 digs. Malyha Slegers finished with three aces, 29 assists and four kills. Charlie Thooft led the Elks with 34 digs. 


Hamlin 3, Castlewood 1

HAYTI — Hamlin picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Castlewood on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-27, 25-20 and 25-22.

Hamlin’s Addison Neuendorf finished with 22 digs, 17 kills and five aces. Addie Steffensen posted 15 kills and two aces. Jo Steffensen logged seven kills and 19 digs. Issie Steffensen added six aces and 43 assists. Jayci Trowbridge recorded 22 digs and Addie Jensen had two blocks.

For Castlewood, Emerson Carter had 15 kills and four blocks. Ava Ruml posted six kills. Cassidy Kirwan recorded 16 assists, 20 digs and two aces. Claire Horn finished with 19 digs and six assists. Lilly Jacobsen had four blocks. Nora Solberg posted 16 digs. 


Colman-Egan 3, Howard 0

COLMAN — Colman-Egan swept Howard in Tuesday's high school volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-9 and 25-10. 

Brynlee Landis paced Colman-Egan with 14 kills, five aces and two blocks. Kaylee Voelker finished with 19 assists, six kills and two blocks. Finley Luze chipped in with six assists and three blocks while Anna Zwart had two aces, five kills and two blocks. Michoen Williamson led with five blocks.

Tana Hoyer led Howard with an ace, five kills and a block. Kayleigh Schwader finished with 11 assists while Kenya Kizer finished with four kills.
