Platte-Geddes 3, Miller 0

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes picked up a three-set sweep over Miller in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-15 and 25-11.

Miller’s Paige Werdel finished with six kills, while Aleah Schlechter had five kills and seven digs. Shaylee Anderberg added 14 digs and four kills. Jolie Palmer posted 13 digs. Gracen Werdel finished with six digs and four kills. Olivia Resel recorded 19 assists. 

Platte-Geddes stats were not reported. 


Hanson 3, Menno 2 

MENNO — Hanson outlasted Menno in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 7-25 and 15-7.

Hanson’s Taziah Hawkins recorded 15 kills and 10 digs. Jazzy Campbell recorded four kills, four aces and nine digs. Jersey Kampshoff added 15 assists, five digs and two aces. Cadence Jarding finished with 15 assists and nine digs. Claire Bridge posted 12 digs and three aces. Kylie Haiar and Ava Doyle had four kills apiece. Haier had two blocks. 

For Menno, Ashton Massey recorded five kills. Kaelie Derby, Ellyana Ilmer, Taylor Freier, Lexie McNinch and Amanda Rames posted four kills apiece. Joslynn Fischer posted three kills, three aces, 15 digs and 18 assists. Ulmer had 17 digs, while Haylee Hall had 12 digs and three aces. Maggie Miller recorded 24 digs. 


Warner 3, Redfield 0

REDFIELD — Class B No. 1 Warner notched its 30th win of the season with a straight sets win over Redfield in high school volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-10, 25-10 and 25-15. 

Warner was powered by Kyleigh Schopp who had 11 kills and four block assists. Lauren Marcunson finished with seven kills and six assists while Ava Nilsson finished with four aces and 30 assists. Haleight Holt added four aces and Courtney Bjorgaard had a team-leading nine digs. 

Chloe Zens had a solid night for Redfield with seven digs and two aces. Hayden Gall finished with eight assists while Katie Rozell had five kills and a solo block. 


Stanley County 3, Sully Buttes 1

FORT PIERRE — Stanley County outlasted Sully Buttes in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 26-24, 25-16, 24-26 and 25-19.

Stanley County’s Brylee Kafka finished with 12 kills, seven aces and three blocks. Mattie Duffy finished with eight kills and four aces. Reece Hand recorded six kills and Cadence Hand added three aces. Tatum Scott tallied three kills. Breckyn Huebner had four blocks.

For Sully Buttes, Trichelle White and Madison Bradberry had nine kills apiece. Stevie Wittler added five kills and four aces. Payge Bakker had six kills. 


Winner 3, Chamberlain 0

WINNER — Winner earned a straight set sweep of Chamberlain to pick up a win in girls volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-11, 25-14 and 25-10. 

The Winner hitters were led by Keelie Kuil and Leila Balsiger who had 13 and 10 kills respectively. Lexi Klein had a solid outing with three aces and 25 assists. Cora Moss served up two aces with Lilly Barfuss contributing a block. Adysen Pravecek had 16 digs while Lexi Klein had 10 digs. 

Jovie VanDenBosch led Chamberlain with nine kills and nine digs. Chesney Mutziger had an ace and led the Cubs with 13 digs. Alexis Cronk added two aces while Maisey Petersen, Ainsley Kurtz and Tobi Peterson each had a block. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Deuel 0

DEUEL — Elkton-Lake Benton earned a three-set sweep over Region 2A rival Deuel earning a win in Tuesday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-19, 25-14 and 25-14. 

Kylie Ramlo powered the Elks with 14 digs, three blocks and four assists. Andrea Renkley had a team-leading 12 kills and an ace while Tevan Erickson handed out 33 assists and also finished with one ace and three blocks. Aubree Bales and Maya Jensen each finished with seven kills for the Elks.

Josie Andersen led Deuel with six kills, six assists and 12 digs. Ella Kerkvliet had a team-leading 15 digs with Sara Jo Kreger having two aces and five assists. 


Hamlin 3, De Smet 0

HAMLIN — Hamlin picked up a high school volleyball win Tuesday with a three-set sweep of De Smet. Set scores were 25-17, 25-13 and 25-23.

Addison Neuendorf powered the Chargers attack Tuesday with four aces, 15 assists and 10 kills. Marissaa Bawdon chipped in with three aces, 12 assists and 13 kills. Grace Opdahl and Jayce Trowbridge each had eight kills to lead Hamlin. 

Mirra Beck led the De Smet hitters with seven kills while Ivey Schoenfelder and Brooke Jennings each had four kills. Beck also had 10 digs on the night while Alyssa Asleson had an ace, two assists and a block. 


Rapid City Christian 3, Hot Springs 0

HOT SPRINGS — A hot serving Rapid City Christian volleyball team earned a straight sets win over Hot Springs in Tuesday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-12, 25-14 and 25-19. 

The Comets served up 12 total aces with Kendall Glassbrenner and Anna Egge each delivering three aces. Moriah Coyle led with 13 assists while Faith King had 12 assists, 10 kills and two aces. Egge finished with eight kills while Glassbrenner and Lydia Williams each had five kills with Williams adding two blocks on the night. 

Hot Springs stats were not reported. 


Chester 3, West Central 0

HARTFORD — Class B No. 2 Chester swept West Central in straight sets in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-11, 25-6 and 25-12.

Chester’s Jacy Wolf finished with two aces, 12 kills, 13 digs and 10 assists. Lily VanHal added 24 assists, 12 kills, four aces and 17 digs. Emery Larson recorded 13 digs and two aces. 

West Central’s Kaia Gabbert finished with four kills and one block. Marissa Dobbs and Adi Bartman finished with three kills apiece. Dobbs added four assists and one block. Jocelyn Nilson logged 25 digs and three assists. Landry Heath posted seven digs and Ellie Lienhard had three assists. 


Burke 3, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 0

LAKE ANDES — Class B No. 5 Burke earned a straight-sets road win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian in high school volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-15, 25-11 and 25-15.

Emmie Hausmann powered the Burke attack Tuesday with 11 kills and a block and a team-leading four aces. Kailee Frank added 10 kills and two aces while Elle Johnson had three assists, 14 digs and an ace. Ava Sargent led with 15 assists while also having six digs and three aces.

Abigail Svatos led AC/DC with four kills, two blocks and four digs. Onaka Doren finished with four assists and an ace while Mahpiyah Irving had a kills, three assists and a team-leading two aces. 


Ethan 3, Howard 0

HOWARD — The Ethan girls earned a straight-sets win over Howard in high school volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-20, 25-17 and 25-17. 

Ava Lingemann powered Ethan Tuesday with 19 kills and 19 digs. Marissa Storm finished with two aces and 14 kills. Madeline Bartscher orchestrated the offense with 28 assists while Claire Mellegaard had two aces and 19 digs. 

Abby Aslesen had a strong night at the net for Howard with 20 kills and five blocks while also coming up with 13 digs. Tana Hoyer had a team-leading 13 assists while Taryn Mentele finished with 15 digs. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, Kimball/White Lake 1

WHITE LAKE — Mount Vernon/Plankinton defeated Kimball/White Lake in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-18, 26-24 and 28-26.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Reagan Rus recorded 22 kills, while Vanessa Hoffman finished with 39 assists and 22 digs. Berkeley Engelland added 22 digs. Clara Fink had two aces and Taryn Hegg posted two blocks. 

For Kimball/White Lake, Ryann Nielsen logged 20 kills and recorded her 1,000th career kill. Nielsen added 32 assists and 24 digs. Harley Namanny posted 10 kills, 18 assists and 24 digs. Madison Meier had 30 digs and three aces. Sienna Gillen had 20 digs, while Mariah Gosmire posted three blocks, four kills and four digs. 


Arlington 3, Sioux Valley 0

ARLINGTON — Arlington swept Sioux Valley in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-22, 25-23 and 25-22.

Arlington’s Addie Steffensen finished with 12 kills and 23 digs. Harley Johnson added 17 digs, 14 kills and three aces. Issis Steffensen recorded 36 assists. Jo Steffensen recorded four aces. Sony Johnson and Jaelyn Huntimer had two blocks apiece.

For Sioux Valley, Emma Garvin had eight kills. Allie Hofer and Adison Renkly had six kills apiece. Sunny Hesby had 16 assists, while Machaela Gerasch had 10 assists. Talya Vincent posted 24 digs and Renkly recorded 21 digs. Hofer had four blocks, while Keyra Kruse had three solo blocks. 


Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 3, Freeman 1

OLDHAM — Oldham-Ramona-Rutland defeated Freeman in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-18, 20-25 and 25-21.

ORR’s Julia Trygstad recorded 14 digs and 13 kills. Emily Matson had 18 assists, 11 digs and six digs. Rylan Pearson had 10 assists. 

For Freeman, Zoe Butler posted 10 kills and two blocks. Cami Fransen logged 17 digs, eight assists and three aces. Rylee Peters finished with fur kills and one block. Ashlin Jacobsen had six kills and 16 digs. Emily Mendel had 19 digs.  


Dakota Valley 3, Lennox 0

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 5 Dakota Valley earned a straight sets win over Lennox in high school volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-12. 

Claire Munch powered the Dakota Valley attack Tuesday with 14 kills, a block, six digs and an ace. Sophie Tuttle also had a strong night for the Panthers with ten kills, one block, seven digs and an ace. Bria Perryman had a team-leading 12 assists to go along with three digs and two aces while Sammie Kimball added eight kills and two blocks. Emerson Mead patrolled the net area and finished with six blocks 

Lennox stats were not reported. 


Madison 3, Milbank 1 

MADISON — Class A No. 3 Madison defeated Milbank in straight sets in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-23, 25-14, 23-25 and 25-14.

Madison’s Audrey Nelson finished with 34 kills, 15 digs and four blocks. Amanda Vacanti finished with 17 kills and three aces. Keara Wagner logged six aces. Callie McDermott posted three aces and 20 digs. Karley Theede recorded 53 assists. Ella Peterreins had one block.

For Milbank, Rachel Schulte finished with 12 kills and nine assists. Skyler Skoog logged six kills and 19 digs. Addisyn Krause finished with three aces and 15 assists. Ella Sandvig finished with 19 kills. Shaylee Schuchard and Isabella Anderson had two blocks apiece. 


O’Gorman 3, Brandon Valley 1

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls O’Gorman outlasted Brandon Valley in four tough sets to pick up a win in high school volleyball Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-16, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-18. 

The Brandon Valley hitting attack was led by Jayaunna Stroh with 10 kills and Jersie Melcher with seven kills. Riya Sheley led with 12 digs while Sydney Benson and Stroh each had 10 digs. Kennedi Boomsma and Riya Sheley each had four blocks with Sheley also dishing out a team-leading 24 assists.

Stats for O’Gorman were not reported.
