Chester 3, Madison 0

MADISON — Class B No. 2 Chester swept Class A No. 3 Madison in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-13.

Chester’s Jacy Wolf finished with 22 kills, 12 digs and 10 assists. Addison Bates and Emmerson Eppard finished with eight kills apiece. Lily VanHal recorded three aces and Eppard added two aces. VanHal had 30 assists. Katelynn Huntimer and Emilie Bleeker posted one block apiece.

For Madison, Audrey Nelson logged one block, 13 kills, 16 digs and three aces. Lydia Nelson had nine kills and 16 digs. Callie McDermott had 14 digs, while Karley Theede added 27 assists. 


Northwestern 3, Potter County 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 3 Northwestern earned a straight-set sweep of Potter County earning a Thursday night high school volleyball win. Set scores were 25-17, 25-18 and 25-17. 

Ashley Haven powered the Northwestern attack with 18 kills, 14 digs, one solo block and one block assist. Ella Boekelheide had a big night with three aces and 29 assists while Payton Grandpre had a team-leading four aces, six kills and a team-leading 19 digs. 

Kayden Cronin led Potter County with 12 kills while Zoe Meinke had seven kills to go along with 23 digs. Ava Larson hit 13-of-13 from the service line and Finlee Heien had 13 assists in the match.


Herreid/Selby Area 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

HIGHMORE — Herreid/Selby Area swept Highmore-Harrold in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-17.

HSA’s Jordyn Rossow recorded 10 kills, two blocks and two assists. Mya Ebel logged seven kills and two aces. Sophia Ritter recorded two aces and 31 assists. Pausha Meidinger had 28 digs and Stephanie Albee added 26 digs. 

For Highmore-Harrold, Kendall Cermak had four kills, two aces and one block. Addison McDonnell posted three kills and three aces. Brooklyn Baloun had seven assists and 20 digs. Reghan Westcott posted 15 digs. 


Colman-Egan 3, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 1

COLMAN — Class B No. 4 Colman-Egan earned a four–set victory over Oldham-Ramona- Rutland in Tuesday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-14, 25-15, 19-25 and 25-19. 

Anna Zwart powered the Colman-Egan attack with 15 kills, an ace and two blocks. Daniela Lee had 14 kills, two solo blocks and 17 digs. Kaylee Voelker led the Hawks with 25 assists and 13 digs while Lanie Mousel added 23 assists. Elaina Rhode finished with six kills and 10 digs for Colman-Egan. 

Julia Trygstad had a big night for ORR with 14 kills, two solo blocks, three block assists and seven digs. Emily Matson finished with 19 assists and 12 digs while Rylan Pearson had an ace, 12 assists, one assisted block and three digs. 


Winner 3, Corsica-Stickney 0

CORSICA — Winner swept Corsica-Stickney in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-19 and 25-14.

Winner’s Keelie Kuil finished with 16 kills and 19 digs. Leila Balsiger had seven kills, while Lilly Barfuss added three kills and two solo blocks. Lexi Klein recorded 30 assists, 13 digs and two kills. Cora Moss posted 23 digs and Adysen Pravecek had 10 digs. 

For Corsica-Stickney, Sophie DeLange recorded 12 kills, nine assists and seven digs. Cali Vanden Hoek posted 13 digs and two aces. Braylee Bordewyk had five kills, five digs and 12 assists. Ashlyn Lefers recorded 15 digs. Brooklyn Bosma had five digs, four kills and two blocks. Jacey Kemp added 11 digs, four kills and two aces. Ali Wieczorek had three digs. 


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Sully Buttes 0

ONIDA — Mobridge-Pollock swept Sully Buttes in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-18 and 25-20.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Raelyn Aberle finished with 14 kills and 11 digs. Charley Henderson posted 11 kills and three digs. Ryli Thompson added five kills and 11 digs. Sophia Overland posted four kills and three digs. Katy Kemnitz had 22 assists and Overland had 15 assists. Reagan Weisbeck posted 17 digs. 

Sully Buttes stats were not reported. 


James Valley Christian 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — James Valley Christian earned a straight-sets win over Sunshine Bible Academy in high school volleyball action Thursday. Set scores were 25-15, 25-15 and 25-16. 

The James Valley Christian hitters were led by nine kills from Abby Knight. Cora Hofer added five kills and two blocks. Kiera Schaeffers led with three aces while Kaylie Robinson and Daril Frandsen combined for 17 assists. Andee Frundsen had a team-leading 18 digs while Kaylie Robinson added 12 digs. 

Annalise VanZee led Sunshine Bible Academy with five kills and three blocks. Abby Hinman had six assists and two digs while Sadie Konechne added four kills. 


Florence/Henry 3, Wilmot 1

WILMOT — Florence/Henry slipped past Wilmot in four sets earning a win in high school volleyball action Thursday night. Set scores were 22-25, 25-12, 24-14 and 25-15. 

Addison Heinje had a big night for Wilmot with 17 kills, two digs, two aces and three assists. Jada Cameron had six kills while Paige Johnson had three kills, three digs and three aces. Stacia Redday led with ten assists while Mya Heinje had eight assists and a kill for the Wolves. 

Florence/Henry stats were not reported.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, West Central 0

HARTFORD — Mount Vernon/Plankinton swept West Central in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-17 and 25-20.

West Central’s Addison Meadors finished with seven kills and two aces. Izzy McKinney added five kills and one block. Marissa Dobbs posted two aces, one block, seven assists and 16 digs. Jocelyn Nilson recorded 18 digs and Ellie Lienhard added five assists. 

Mount Vernon/Plankinton stats were not reported. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Irene-Wakonda 0

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson swept Irene-Wakonda in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-14 and 25-19.

EPJ’s Natalie Huertz posted 11 kills and three digs. Bentlee Kollbaum added 10 kills, six digs and four aces. Ashley Brewer logged seven kills, five digs, four blocks and three aces. Grace Peed posted seven kills and one dig. Hannah Nearman had two aces and eight digs. Courtney Brewer posted 33 assists and nine digs. Cera Schmitz logged eight digs.  

Irene-Wakonda stats were not reported. 


Milbank 3, Tiospa Zina 0

MILBANK — Milbank swept Tiospa Zina in straight sets earning a win in high school volleyball action Thursday night. Set scores were 25-9, 25-14 and 25-15. 

Rachel Schulte had a big night for Milbank posting team leading stats in kills (15), assists (18) and digs (14). Shaylee Schuchard had two aces while Claire Snaza had a block and two block assists. Ella Sandvig and Addisyn Krause each had 12 digs for Milbank while Skyler Skoog finished with eight kills. 

Kami Crawford led Tiospa Zina with five kills and an ace while Gerrica Redday finished with eight assists. Neveah German had 11 digs for Tiospa Zina. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Ipswich 0

IPSWICH — Hitchcock-Tulare earned a straight-sets sweep over Ipswich for a win in Thursday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-16, 25-6 and 25-21.

A well rounded hitting attack powered Hitchcock-Tulare Thursday with Katelyn Schroeder (7), Ella Johnson (6) and Rebecca Huizenga (6) combining for 19 kills. Johnson added four aces while Isabel Gilbert had two aces, one block and three block assists. Lila Johnson finished with 18 assists and six digs while Schroeder had a team-leading 12 digs. 

Marley Guthmiller led Ipswich with seven kills and a solo block. Reaghan Bowers finished with 11 assists and five digs while Brianna Geditz added five digs. Natalie Crissman led the Tigers with two aces. 


Avon 3, Centerville 0 

CENTERVILLE — Avon swept Centerville in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-22 and 25-16.

Avon’s Courtney Sees recorded 18 kills and 22 digs. Rilyn Thury posted 10 kills and three aces. McKenna Kocmich posted 19 assists and 13 digs. Alexis Vanderlei had five digs, while Lila Vanderlei added 10 digs, three kills and two assists. Jordyn Voigt posted 12 digs and two aces. Macy Voigt posted five digs.

For Centerville, Thea Gust recorded nine kills, seven digs and two blocks. Lillie Eide added 12 digs, two kills, two blocks and two aces. Lillee Shearer posted 10 digs and six kills. Kiylee Westra had two kills. Ashlynn Hagena logged six kills and five digs. Harper Wattier finished with eight digs. Keira Austin added 23 assists.


Hamlin 3, Britton-Hecla 0

HAYTI — Hamlin swept Britton-Hecla in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-11 and 25-10.

Hamlin’s Addison Neuendorf finished with 18 kills, three aces and 12 assists. Kayde Rebel and Emily Everson posted five kills apiece. Marissa Bawdon had four aces and 20 assists. Jayci Trowbridge finished with 10 digs and Grace Opdahl had eight digs. 

Britton-Hecla’s Tiyanna Schott had four kills, one block and one ace. Karlie Zuehlke finished with three kills. Heather Storbakken added 10 assists and 14 digs. 


Rapid City Christian 3, Gordon-Rushville, Neb. 0

GORDON, Neb. — After a tight first set Rapid City Christian pulled away for a three-set win over Gordon-Rushville, Neb. Set scores were 28-26, 25-15 and 25-22.

Anna Egge led Rapid City 15 kills, two blocks and eight digs. Sophie DeWitt came up with 10 blocks and an assist while Moriah Coyle had two aces and 12 digs. Faith King added an ace and nine kills to go along with 13 digs. Chloe Weber added three kills and 11 digs for the Comets. 

Stats for Gordon-Rushville were not reported. 


Harrisburg 3, Aberdeen Central 0

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 1 Harrisburg swept Class AA No. 5 Aberdeen Central in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 30-28.

Harrisburg’s Gabi Zachariasen finished with 22 kills, while Karalynn Leach added five kills and two aces. Maggie Meister logged three aces and 17 digs. Kennedy Kokenge posted 11 digs. Josalyn Samuels posted 36 assists.

Aberdeen Central stats were not reported. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Huron 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Jefferson swept Huron in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-17 and 25-8.

Jefferson’s Emory Brosnahan finished with 14 kills and nine digs. Mya Hejl logged 10 kills and four blocks. Ella Kvernmo logged nine kills and 14 digs. Isabel Simmons posted six kills. Presly Pastian and Kvernmo had three aces apiece. Cora Hokenstad posted 24 digs and Pastian had 11 digs. Pastian dished out 38 assists. 

Huron stats were not reported.
