Harrisburg 3, Sioux Falls Christian 1

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 1 Harrisburg defeated Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian in a matchup of two top-ranked teams on Monday. The set scores were 25-20, 21-25, 25-18 and 25-20.

Harrisburg’s Gabri Zachariasen recorded 25 kills and two blocks. Karalynn Leach added 10 kills and three aces, while Kennedy Kokenge posted nine kills and 10 digs. Maggie Meister recorded four aces. Josalyn Samuels recorded 43 assists. Meister also recorded her 1,000th career dig. 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Taylor Byl posted 17 kills and four blocks. Sidney Oostra added 17 kills and 11 digs. Addisen Barber logged 41 assists. Lavin Maddox and Chloe Bosma posted 13 and 11 digs, respectively. 

Ethan 3, Avon 0

AVON — Ethan swept Avon in Monday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-19 and 25-13.

Ethan’s Ava Lingemann finished with 20 kills and 24 digs. Claire Mellegaard and Marissa Storm finished with 16 digs apiece. Maddy Bartscher logged 28 assists and one ace. Storm finished with 10 kills and two aces. Rachel Klock logged one block.

For Avon, Courtney Sees tallied seven kills and 10 digs. Lila Vanderlei added five kills, while Rilyn Thury posted four kills and two aces. Jordyn Voigt posted 20 digs and Macy Voight had nine digs. McKenna Kocmich logged 16 assists. 

Wolsey-Wessington 3, Miller 1

WOLSEY — Wolsey-Wessington earned a four-set home win over Miller in high school volleyball action Monday. Set scores were 17-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-23. 

Paige Werdel led the Miller attack Monday with 10 kills and two unassisted blocks. Aleah Schlechter racked up 12 points on her serve, nine kills and an ace. She added 14 digs. Shaylee Anderberg had two aces, seven kills and 1.5 blocks and 24 digs. Olivia Resel led Miller with 40 assists, 14 digs and also had an ace. Jolie Palmer added 36 digs.

Kimball/White Lake 3, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 0

KIMBALL — Kimball/White Lake swept Andes Central/Dakota Christian in Monday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-10 and 25-22.

KWL’s Ryann Nielsen finished with 12 kills, 12 assists and 22 digs. Mariah Gosmire logged eight kills. Harley Namanny posted five kills, 18 assists, 10 digs and four aces. Elena Brennan posted five kills. Madison Meier had six assists and 20 digs.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian stats were not reported.

Wilmot 3, Tri-State N.D, 1

WILMOT — The Wilmot Wolves defeated Tri-State, North Dakota, in four sets Monday to pick up a win in high school volleyball action. Set scores were 13-25, 25-13, 25-13 and 25-13. 

Jada Cameron had a big night up front for the Wolves with ten kills and three blocks. Paige Johnson and Addison Heinje each had seven kills. Julia Anderson had 4 kills and a block. Mya Heinje led Wilmot with three digs, two aces and 15 assists. Stacia Redday had an ace and three assists. 

Stats for Tri-State were not reported.

Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Tea Area 0 

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson swept Tea Area in Monday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-16 and 25-14.

EPJ’s Natalie Heuretz posted 14 kills and two blocks. Bentlee Kollbaum added 12 kills and 10 digs. Madison Buenger had five kills and 10 digs. Ashley Brewer recorded 11 kills and four digs. Courtney Brewer added 11 digs and 43 assists. Grace Peed posted four kills and four digs. Hannah Nearman logged 15 digs and two aces.
