Philip 3, New Underwood 0

NEW UNDERWOOD — Philip swept New Underwood in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-14 and 25-17. 


Burke 3, Parkston 0 

BURKE — Class B No. 4 Burke swept Parkston in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-19 and 25-12. 

Burke’s Paige Bull finished with 12 kills and two blocks. Kailee Frank added nine kills, 14 digs and two blocks. Emmie Hausmann logged six kills and four aces. Kyrie Matucha posted 17 digs. Emmy Spencer tallied 11 digs and 17 assists. Ava Sargent had nine assists and Breckyn Pistulka had three aces. 

For Parkston, Keeara Oakley logged five kills and two aces. Lauren Ziebart had 11 digs. Allie Hobbick posted two aces. Isabel Leischner added two blocks. Carlie Hobbick had nine assists and Finley Bogenreif had seven assists. 


Avon 3, Bon Homme 1

AVON — Avon topped Bon Homme in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 18-25, 25-19, 25-23 and 25-21.

Avon’s Lila Vanderlei recorded 21 kills and 23 digs. Rilyn Thury posted 18 kills and 18 digs. Brielle Voigt had 16 digs and 38 assists. Kinley Doom had one block. Vanderlei, Thury, Lexi Vanderlei and Voigt each had aces.

For Bon Homme, Raelee Lanphear posted 11 kills and three aces. Olivia Kaul added 10 kills, four aces and six blocks. Kenadee Kozak recorded six kills and 15 digs. Emersyn Tucker logged17 digs. Kendra Bechtold posted 16 digs. Danni Kotalik had five blocks. Aspen Schonebaum posted 29 assists and three aces.


Colman-Egan 3, Dell Rapids St. Mary 2

DELL RAPIDS — Colman-Egan pulled out the victory over Dell Rapids St. Mary in a five-set victory Tuesday. The set scores were 18-25, 19-25, 25-13, 25-16, 15-6.

Brynlee Landis tallied 22 kills, 13 digs, four aces, and two blocks, Kaylee Voelker had 23 assists, 10 digs, and three blocks, Finley Luze had nine kills and 16 assists, Presley Luze had 25 digs in the win.

St Mary’s stats were not reported.


Chester 3, Bridgewater-Emery 0

BRIDGEWATER — Class B No. 1 Chester swept Bridgewater-Emery in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-10, 25-19 and 25-16. 

Leading the Flyers was Lily Van Hal who finished with 11 kills and 15 assists. Gracie Huntimer had 14 digs and three aces while Emmerson Eppard finished with 16 digs. Jacy Wolf finished with eight kills and eight assists. 

Oakley Weber led Bridgewater-Emery with six kills, 10 assists, 10 assists and two aces. Hayden Hofer added five kills, 10 assists and six digs while Maizey Strombeck added 13 digs. Aleigha Kroger finished with 10 digs and Macie Weber had four kills and seven digs. 


Corsica-Stickney 3, Colome 0 

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney swept Colome in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-7, 25-13 and 25-17.

Corsica-Stickney’s Sophie DeLange logged 18 kills and nine assists. Braylee Bordewyk posted one block, 11 kills, 11 digs and 24 assists. Macayla Gerlach logged eight kills and one block. Hadynn Johnson recorded seven aces and 12 digs. Cali VandenHoek had three aces and 16 digs. 

For Colome, Keasha Kartak had three kills and Emma Nelson had three kills. Camryn Seegers posted two aces. Gracie Rhode added nine assists. Westlie Cahoy recorded 20 digs. Raelynn Kingsley logged one block. 


Irene-Wakonda 3, Howard 2

HOWARD — Irene-Wakonda edged Howard in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-8, 18-25, 23-25, 25-15 and 15-13.

IW’s Madison Orr posted 11 kills and five blocks. Addison Brockmueller posted 13 digs, seven kills and three aces. Mady Petersen recorded four aces and 11 assists. Brenna Lyngstad had three aces and 16 digs. Hailey Orr finished with 25 assists.

For Howard, Kayleigh Schwader posted eight kills and one block. Tana Hoyer recorded seven kills and 17 digs. Hannah Brown finished with six aces and 15 digs. Anna Becker had four aces. Reese Rudebusch posted 25 assists. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Wessington Springs 0

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Class B No. 3 Hitchcock-Tulare swept Wessington Springs during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-8, 25-9, and 25-15.

HT’s Katelyn Schroeder tallied 16 kills and nine digs, Lila Johnson had 28 assists and six aces, Ella Johnson tallied five kills, Gracyn Bixler totaled nine assists, while Cambree Hoekman had 19 assists.

Wessington Springs stats were not reported.


Sioux Valley 3, Elkton-Lake Benton 0

VOLGA — Sioux Valley wrapped up their regular season by sweeping Elkton-Lake Benton in Tuesday volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-19 and 25-13. 

Leading Sioux Valley was Kaedyn Sapp who finished with 16 kills, 11 digs and a solo block. Adison Renkly added 16 kills, 10 digs, an assisted block and a solo block. Machaela Gerasch led with 21 assists and had 11 digs. Caitlin Russell led Sioux Valley with 18 digs. 

Charlie Thooft and Andrea Renkly each had eight kills with Renklhy adding 17 digs to lead Elkton-Lake Benton. Malyha Slegers finished with 19 assists and Quinn Slegers added 15 digs. 


Garretson 3, Madison 2

MADISON — Garretson came from behind to knock off Madison in a five-set thriller in Thursday night volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 20-25, 13-25, 25-22 and 20-18.

Powering Garretson was Bella Sysa with 29 kills, three solo blocks and one assisted block. Aleah Wagner added 11 kills and 16 digs while Tyler Benson had three kills and 15 digs. Addi Hove finished with 34 assists while Ashley Harris contributed three assisted blocks.

Lydia Nelson led Madison with 19 kills, four aces, three solo blocks and five assisted blocks. Jaya Engels led with 21 kills and also had 10 digs. Kate Johnson finished with 21 digs and Karley Theede chipped in with five assisted blocks. 


Redfield 3, Tiospa Zina 0

AGENCY VILLAGE — Redfield swept Tiospa Zina in Tuesday night volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-16 and 25-10. 

Leading the Redfield hitters was Cecelia Suchor and Kinley Smith who finished with nine and eight kills respectively. Hayden Gail finished with 27 assists and an ace. Layla Hardie led with four aces while Brooklyn Rische and Kendyl Siebrecht each finished with six aces to lead the Pheasants. 

Stats for Tiospa Zina were not reported.


Miller 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

MILLER — Class A No. 4 Miller finished its season with a 26-1 after sweeping Highmore-Harrold during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-7, and 25-15.

Aleah Schlecter had nine kills, Gracen Werdel tallied seven kills, nine digs and two aces, Olivia Resel had 27 assists, Kate Lichty tallied five kills, six digs, and and ace, Jolie Palmer had 12 digs and three aces, while Paige Werdel recorded eight digs and four aces in the win.

HH’s Addison McDonnell tallied three kills, one block and one ace, Jada Baloun had three kills, Emma Ferens recorded three kills, Brooklyn Baloun had nine assists, while Lainee Ping and Callie Chavez each tallied 10 digs in the loss.


Menno 3, Scotland 0

MENNO — Menno swept Scotland during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-10, and 25-13.

Menno’s Lexie McNinch tallied five kills, two digs, and three blocks, Haylee Hall had five kills and seven digs, Joslynn Fischer five kills, seven digs, seven assists, and four aces, Nora Robb had four kills, two blocks, nine assists and 14 digs, while Ellyana Ulmer tallied 12 digs, three assists, and two aces in the win.

Scotland’s Trinity Bietz recorded seven kills and 17 digs, Grace Vitek had four kills and 11 digs, Hope Starwalt recorded 11 assists, three digs, and one block, Savannah Meng had eight digs and two blocks, while Emily Dvorak recorded five blocks in the loss.


Potter County 3, Leola/Frederick Area 0

GETTYSBURG — Potter County defeated Leola/Frederick Area in a sweep during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-12, and 25-17.

Potter County’s stats were not reported.

LF’s Jill Ellwein had 25 digs and two kills, Kaitlyn Mueller recorded 17 digs, one kill, and one assists, while Tayler Vetter tallied four assists in the loss. Sam Geffre and Zoe Cox each had two aces in the loss as well.


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Sully Buttes 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock closed out their regular season by sweeping Sully Buttes in Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-8 and 25-19. 

Mobridge-Pollock was powered by Charley Henderson who finished with 10 kills, an ace and nine digs. Sophia Overland had 12 assists, two aces, three kills and nine digs. Raelyn Aberle netted five aces while also contributing five kills and nine digs. Brooke Schlomer ended the night with 12 assists, eight digs and an ace. 

Stats for Sully Buttes were not reported.


Harrisburg 3, O’Gorman 0

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 1 swept Class AA No. 2 O’Gorman in Tuesday night volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-23 and 25-15. 

Gabi Zachariasen led the Tigers with 18 kills. Kennedy Kokenge and Josalyn Samuels each had two aces for Harrisburg. Maggie Meister led with 23 digs and Kya Keegan had eight kills and two blocks. 

Stats for O’Gorman were not reported.
