Mobridge-Pollock 3, Winner 0

WINNER — Mobridge-Pollock swept Winner in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-10 and 25-17.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson recorded 11 kills, while Ryli Thompson added six kills and 10 digs. Raelyn Aberle finished with five kills. Katy Kemnitz posted 16 assists and two aces. Sophia Overland finished with 11 assists. Reagan Weisbeck added 21 digs and two aces.

For Winner, Keelie Kuil finished with six kills and one ace. Leila Balsiger finished with five kills. Cora Moss had 11 assists and Lexi Klein added four assists. Moss added 16 digs. Adysen Pravecek posted 18 digs. Lilly Barfuss finished with two blocks and Karlee Brozik added one block. 


Ethan 3, Hanson 0 

ALEXANDRIA — Ethan picked up a road win over Hanson Thursday with a straight set sweep for a Thursday night volleyball win. Set scores were 25-19, 25-19 and 25-16.

Ava Lingeman had a big night for Ethan with a team-leading 15 kills, 32 digs and two assists. Marissa Storm had a strong night with seven kills, a block, 17 digs and an ace. Madeline Bartscher had two kills, 27 assists and eight digs while Rachel Klock put down six kills. 

Taziah Hawkins led Hanson with 12 points and 13 digs. Kylie Haiar had nine kills, five digs and an ace. Jersey Kampshoff added had 17 assists, nine digs and four aces while Claire 

Bridge recorded a team-leading 22 digs. 


Northwestern 3, Faulkton Area 0 

FAULKTON — Class B No. 3 Northwestern swept Faulkton Area in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-22, 25-18 and 25-18.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 21 kills, 16 digs and one solo block. Ana Ratigan and Payton Grandpre posted five kills apiece. Tara Blachford had five aces and Grandpre added an ace. Blachford logged 23 digs and Ella Boekelheide had 33 assists. Grandpre finished with 15 digs. 

Faulkton Area stats were not reported. 


Miller 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 2

TULARE — Miller outlasted Hitchcock-Tulare in a Thursday high school volleyball five-set match. The set scores were 25-17, 21-25, 25-16, 14-25 and 15-11.

Miller’s Paige Werdel finished with 14 kills, while Shaylee Anderberg added 12 kills and 19 digs. Aleah Schlechter posted eight kills. Gracen Werdel recorded seven kills. Heather Resel posted 37 assists and 15 digs. Olivia Resel had six assists. Jolie Palmer finished with 37 digs and two aces. Journey Palmer added 15 digs. 

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelyn Schroeder recorded 14 kills and 29 digs. Ella Johnson added eight kills. Lila Johnson finished with 20 assists, while Gracyn Bixler posted 21 digs, five assists and one ace. 


Gayville-Volin 3, Menno 0

MENNO — Gayville-Volin swept Menno in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-17 and 25-16.

Gayville-Volin’s Maia Achen finished with 15 kills and 19 digs. Jolie Westrum added nine kills and eight digs. Ayla Dimmer recorded six kills and 13 digs. Kayden Bye finished with 33 digs and two kills. Keeley Larson recorded 31 assists, three digs and two kills. Hailey Adams added 10 digs. 

For Menno, Ashton Massey finished with five kills, one block and one dig. Maggie Miller recorded 17 digs. Taylor Freier finished with 15 digs and two kills. Joslynn Fischer finished with 12 digs, 10 assists and three kills. Haylee Hall had 10 digs.


Sioux Falls Christian 3, Southwest Minnesota Christian, Minn., 0

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Christian earned a three set win over Southwest Minnesota Christian, Minn., on parents night volleyball action in Sioux Falls. Set scores were 25-9, 25-21 and 25-12. 

Sidney Oostra led the Charger offense with fourteen kills while adding an ace and 11 digs. Addisen Barber led with 30 assists while also contributing two aces and seven digs. Taylor Byl had 10 digs to go along with an ace and a dig while Lavin Maddox had an ace, four assists and eight digs. 

Madison Fey led Southwest Minnesota Christian with six kills and 10 digs. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Deubrook Area 0 

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton earned a straight-set sweep of Deubrook Area on Thursday with each set being extremely tight. Set scores were 26-24, 25-20 and 25-21. 

Leading Elkton-Lake Benton Thursday was Tevan Erickson who had two aces, 29 assists, 11 kills and 16 digs. Kylie Ramlo had two aces, nine kills, two blocks and 16 digs. Charlie Thooft had two aces, eight kills and six digs. Aubree Bales had six kills, two blocks and three block assists and 13 digs.

Zoey Molengraaf led Deubrook with eight kills and five block assists. Kyarra Blum has four kills, two kills and four block assists. Madalyn Bauman had ten assists while Mattie Bauman had 11 assists.


McCook Central/Montrose 3, West Central 2

HARTFORD — McCook Central/Montrose outlasted West Central in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 24-26, 25-22, 23-25, 25-18 and 15-12.

West Central’s Addison Meadors finished with 11 kills, while Marissa Dobbs posted three solo blocks, 10 kills, three aces and 11 assists. Ella Harden added 10 kills. Jocelyn Nilson finished with 65 digs. Avery Nothdurth posted 22 digs and Ellie Lienhard had 24 assists. 

West Central stats were not reported. 


Deuel 3, Tiospa Zina 0

AGENCY VILLAGE — Deuel picked up a win over Tiospa Zina with a three set sweep in Thursday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-17. 

Leading Deuel Thursday was Josie Anderson had 12 kills, 11 assists and 12 digs. Alexis Schilling had a team-leading two aces while Kayden Russell had six kills and four assists. Sara Kreger had 10 assists while Ella Kerkvliet had 12 digs. 

Maya Deutsch led Tiospa Zina with four kills while Latice Rodlund had an ace. Gerrica Redday finished with five assists Deutsch led in digs with six. 


Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 3, De Smet 1

OLDHAM — Oldham-Ramona-Rutland topped De Smet in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-13, 23-25 and 25-18.

ORR’s Julia Trygstad logged 16 kills, 14 digs and one block. Camlin Schneider recorded eight kills and five aces. Emily Matson finished with 18 assists, while Rylan Pearson had 13 assists and 17 digs. Kailey Pearson posted 13 digs. 

For De Smet, Brooke Jennings had six kills and 12 digs. Mirra Beck recorded 10 digs, six kills and two aces. Megan Dylla and Alyssa Asleson posted 10 and six assists, respectively.

Sioux Falls Lutheran 3, Viborg-Hurley 0

VIBORG — Sioux Falls Lutheran improved to 13-2 on the season with a straight sets road win over Viborg-Hurley. The set scores were 25-13, 25-16 and 26-24.

Madilyn Dingus and Tatum led the Eagle hitters, each having seven kills and both athletes had four aces. Beckham added 33 assists while Sophie Stubkjaer added 17 assists. Bella Stubkjaer had 10 assists and a team leading 22 digs. 

Addison Huth led Viborg-Hurley with nine kills, five digs and an ace. Charley Nelson had a kill, three assists and a team leading 31 digs. Mataya Vannorsdel finished with 12 assists, eight digs and an ace. 


Rapid City Christian 3, Lead-Deadwood 0 

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian swept Lead-Deadwood in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-5, 25-6 and 25-9.

Rapid City Christian’s Kendall Glassbrenner finished with seven aces, six kills and two digs. Ellie Utecht added five aces. Ana Egge and Paisley Griffith posted four aces apiece. Egge added nine kills, three blocks and five digs. Sophia DeWitt recorded three aces. Lydia Williams posted four kills and three blocks. Faith King tallied 17 assists, four digs and three kills. Moriah Coyle had seven assists. 

Lead-Deadwood stats were not reported. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 3, Britton-Hecla 0

BRITTON — Aberdeen Roncalli swept Britton-Hecla in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-14, 28-26 and 25-20.

Britton-Hecla’s Emma Kraft finished with five six kills and five digs. Tiyanna Schott posted seven kills, three digs and one ace. Kaegan Frederickson posted four kills and 13 digs. Heather Storbakken recorded 11 assists and eight digs, while Jayden Bender added eight assists and five digs. Annika Tank posted 17 digs. 

Aberdeen Roncalli stats were not reported. 

 

Madison 3, Dakota Valley 0 

MADISON — Class A No. 5 Madison swept Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-23 and 25-20.

Madison’s Audrey Nelson finished with 10 kills, 15 digs and eight blocks. Amanda Vacanti added four kills. Callie McDermott finished with 13 digs and two aces. Karley Theede recorded 17 assists. Lydia Nelson recorded two blocks and Kate Johnson added two aces.

For Dakota Valley, Claire Munch finished with 13 kills and five digs. Sophie Tuttle added nine kills, eight digs and four aces. Regan Grandstrom had one ace. Jacee Squier had 11 assists, while Bria Perryman added eight assists. Emerson Mead and Cameryn Sommervold logged four blocks apiece. 


Brandon Valley 3, Yankton 0

BRANDON —  Brandon Valley earned a straight sets win over Yankton in Thursday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-22. 

A trio of hitters powered the Brandon Valley attack Thursday with Jayaunna Stroh putting down nine kills while Abby Gruber and Jersie Melcher each had eight kills. Sydney Benson led in kills with 13 while the Lynx accumulated five blocks as a team. Riya Sheley had 35 assists and Benson had eight aces. 

Yankton stats were not reported.
