HURON — Huron topped Eastern South Dakota Conference for Pierre in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-12, 24-26 and 25-12. 

Northwestern 3, Aberdeen Christian 1

ABERDEEN — Class B No. 5 Northwestern took down Aberdeen Christian in four sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 18-25, 25-14, 25-12, and 25-14.

Ashley Haven recorded 16 kills, eight digs, eight blocks, and six aces, Anna Brumfield recorded 12 kills, Ella Boekelheide had 34 assists, three blocks, and two aces, Tara Blachford had 14 digs, while Nicolette Nickeson recorded six kills in the win as well.

AC’s stats were not reported.

Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Viborg-Hurley 0

VIBORG — Elk Point-Jefferson swept Viborg-Hurley in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-10 and 25-15.

EPJ’s Bentlee Kollbaum posted 16 kills and 17 digs. Jillyan VandeVegte had nine kills. Ashley Brewer logged five kills, nine digs and four aces. Courtney Brewer finished with 34 assists, 10 digs, five aces and two kills. Cera Schmitz posted eight kills and one kill. Kaitlyn VanRoekel posted 10 digs. Molly Geary had five digs. 

For VH, Addison Huth posted eight kills. Aubree Schwartz had 11 digs and one kill. Charley Nelson posted 18 digs. Jenna Graves finished with eight assists, six digs, two aces and two kills. Kyla Peterson posted nine digs and two kills. Natali Blair had five assists and five digs.

Hamlin 3, Sioux Valley 2

HAYTI — Hamlin defeated Sioux Valley in five sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 24-26, 25-21, 21-25, and 15-8.

Hamlin’s Addison Neuendorf recorded 24 kills, 27 digs, and two aces, Addie Steffensen had 17 kills and three blocks, Issie Steffensen tallied 48 assists, Jo Steffensen had 11 kills, 25 digs, and four aces, while Jayce Trowbridge tallied 25 digs in the win as well.

SV’s Kaedyn Sapp had 15 kills and 26 digs, Adison Renkly recorded 13 kills, 14 digs, and two blocks, Keyra Kruse had 10 kills and two block, Sunny Hesby dished out 31 assists, while Emma Gorgin tallied 17 digs and six aces in the loss.

Canistota 3, Menno 2

MENNO — Canistota took down Menno in a five-set thriller during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 13-25, 16-25, 25-17, and 15-8.

Canistota’s Emma Sandman had 12 kills and 17 digs, Ellie Becker tallied eight kills, 16 digs, two aces, three assists, and a block, Bailey Spicer had 28 assists, 12 digs and three kills, Ember Schenkel tallied 23 digs. while Abby Keller had 17 digs in the win as well.

Menno’s Haylee Hall had eight kills, 11 digs, and two aces, Amanda Rames tallied seven kills, five digs and two blocks, Lexie McNinch recorded five kills, five digs, and two blocks, Joslynn Fischer had 16 digs, 12 assists, three kills, four aces, nd two blocks, while Nora Robb had 13 digs, 12 assists, four kills, and an ace in the loss.

Miller 3, Mount Vernon-Plankinton 1

PLANKINTON — Class A No. 4 Miller defeated Mount Vernon-Plankinton in four sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 23-25, 25-20, and 26-24.

Miller’s Gracen Werdel had 14 kills, 16 digs, and three aces, Jolie Palmer recorded 37 digs and three aces, Olivia Resel had 43 assists, Aleah Schlecter tallied 11 kills and 23 digs, and Paige Werdel had 11 kills and 19 digs in the win as well.

Faulkton Area 3, Ipswich 0

IPSWICH — Faulkton Area defeated Ipswich in straight sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-15, and 25-21.

Faulkton Area’s Carley Cotton had 20 kills, 13 digs, four aces, and three assists, Anika Mueller recorded six kills, Claire Cotton had 23 assists and two aces, Presleigh Martinmaas had two blocks, while Anna Aesoph tallied nine digs in the win.

Ipswich’s Marley Guthmiller tallied 12 kills and 23 digs, Kaylin Onken had seven kills and two blocks, Josie Knutson recorded nine assists and one ace, while Brianna Geditz had 19 digs in the loss.

Burke 3, Avon 0 

AVON — Class B No. 2 Burke swept Avon in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-7 and 25-8.

Burke’s Paige Bull finished with 11 kills. Addi Hood posted eight kills. Emmie Hausmann and Kailee Frank finished with seven kills apiece. Frank added 12 digs. Bull had four blocks and Emmy Spencer had three blocks. Spencer added 16 assists and Ava Sargent recorded 13 assists and one ace. Kyrie Matucha had 12 digs. Spencer had three aces, while Breckyn Pistulka had two aces. 

For Avon, Lila Vanderlei had 11 kills and 10 digs. Rilyn Thury had six kills and 14 digs. Jordyn Voigt added nine digs, while Brielle Voigt posted 16 assists. Thury and Voigt each had aces.

De Smet 3, Iroquois-Lake Preston 0

IROQUOIS — De Smet took down Iroquois-Lake Preston during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-20, and 25-13.

De Smet’s Hazel Luethmers recorded 15 kills, two blocks, and three aces, Megan Dylla had 25 assists, Ivey Schoenfelder tallied six kills and three aces, while Brook Jennings led the Bulldogs in digs with nine in the win.

ILP’s Brityn Davies had 11 assists and an ace, Hadlee Holt tallied nine kills, two blocks, and an ace, Chenoa Harris had 12 digs, while Kera Dubro recorded three kills in the loss.

Highmore-Harrold 3, Sully Buttes 0

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold swept Sully Buttes in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-21 and 25-13. 

Highmore-Harrold’s Jada Baloun posted nine kills and four blocks. Addison McDonnell posted eight kills and one block. Emma Ferens had three kills. Brooklyn Baloun added 18 assists and one ace. Callie Chavez had 18 digs, while Lainee Ping posted 17 digs and two aces.

Sully Buttes stats were not reported. 

Deubrook Area 3, Milbank 0

WHITE — Deubrook Area swept Milbank in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-17 and 25-19.

Deubrook Area’s Kylee Johnson posted 12 kills and two aces, while Zoey Molengraaf added seven kills and three blocks. Matte Bauman and Mataya Graves had six kills apiece. Bauman added 30 assists and 12 digs. Matti Ramlo had 13 digs. Brynlee Johnson posted two aces. 

For Milbank, Claire Snaza had nine kills and one block. Avery Schuneman posted six kills. Isabella Anderson had five kills and one block. Siera Wenzl had 13 digs. Rylee Scoular had 17 assists, while Addisyn Krause posted six assists and nine digs. Jacy Dexter had 13 digs, while Ella Sandvig posted 11 digs. Addisyn Krause added nine digs. 

Sioux Falls Christian 3, Canton 0 

SIOUX FALLS — Class A No. 3 Sioux Falls Christian swept Canton in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-13 and 25-16.

Sioux Falls Christian’s Brietta Tims finished with 10 kills, three digs and two aces. Rachel Dieleman logged eight kills and three blocks. Addisen Barber recorded 22 assists, four kills and seven digs. Camdyn Mudder and Jayla Overman posted three kills apiece. Meredith Nelson had three kills, four blocks and seven digs. Chloe Bosma had 14 digs. 

For Canton, Macy Plucker and Jenna Vande Weerd had seven kills apiece. Plucker added 11 digs. Carmyn Peterson posted 17 digs. Lexie Kopperman added 19 assists and two aces.

Arlington 3, Deuel 0

CLEAR LAKE — Arlington earned a three-set sweep over Deuel during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-11, and 25-13.

Arlington’s Jaelyn Huntimer cracked eight kills and  16 digs, Sony Johnson had 23 assists, Halley Miller tallied six kills and two blocks,Madi Bacon tallied 10 digs, while Hailey and Lizzy Rowen each had two aces in the victory.

Deuel’s Tory Engebretson recorded five kills, Gracyn Gohring had eight assists and 12 digs, Ella Kirkvliet tallied three kills, two aces, and eight digs, while Camdyn Peterreins tallied three kills in the loss.
