The Michael J. Entringer Scholarship Classic is a boys and girls basketball classic on Dec. 16 and Dec. 30 in Colman and Brookings.

The classic is remembrance of basketball and football official Mike Entringer, who passed away in 1990. The funds raised from these classics are used to reward student-athletes with scholarships.

Michael J. Entringer classics has been giving scholarships to high school athletic graduates since 1994. Through the years, a total of $1,080,000 has been awarded to 1,219 student athletes. In 2023, 54 individuals received scholarships of $1,000 each.
