Philip's Larson, Jones County's Dugan capture individual titles at Philip Invitational

PHILIP — Philip’s Trey Larson and Jones County’s Jolie Dugan captured the individual titles at the Philip Invitational on Saturday.

On the boys side, the Philip cross-country team held the top-five finishers, with Larson capturing the title with a time of 17:47.87. Teammate Wakely Burns finished second with a time of 17:50.90, while Asher Peterson (18:12.84) placed third. Baylor Burns (18:22.48) and Chevy Konst (18:23.30) rounded out the top-five finishers.

In the team standings, Philip won the title with a score of six, while Lemmon finished in second place with a score of 32. Wall (41), Stanley County (45), and Timber Lake (53) rounded out the top-five.

On the girls side, Dugan won the title with a time of 21:05.47, while Philip’s Presley Terkildsen placed second with a time of 21:51.20. Lemmon’s Chel Odenbach (22:17.21) and Brynn Odenbach (22:34.19) finished in third and fourth place, while Stanley County’s Kaysen Magee (22:34.94) rounded out the top five runners.

In the team standings, Lemmon won the title with a score of 15, followed by Stanley County (20) and Philip (28) in second and third place, respectively. Jones County (31) and Wall (38) rounded out the top-five.
