PIERRE - Pierre’s Lincoln Kienholz has flipped his commitment from Washington to Ohio State. The all-state quarterback announced his intentions to be a Buckeye on Twitter Wednesday.

“After long talks and consideration, I am very blessed with this opportunity. Thank you to @CoreyDennis_ and the staff and also everyone that’s been along on this ride. I’m excited to announce I am committing to @OhioStateFB. #GoBuckeyes,” Kienholz tweeted.

He had been committed to Washington since June and took an official visit to Ohio State over Thanksgiving weekend.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder is coming off another dynamic season on the gridiron. He led the Governors to their sixth consecutive Class 11AA state championship, finishing with 3,422 yards and 46 touchdowns to just six interceptions. He ran for another 1,436 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Kienholz finished his career with 9,100 passing yards and 104 passing touchdowns, while rushing for 3,502 yards and 44 touchdowns. He is a three-sport athlete that is also an all-stater in baseball and basketball.
