Potter County, Philip win team titles at Highmore Action Club Meet

HIGHMORE — The Potter County girls and Philip boys cross-country teams picked up team awards at the Highmore Action Club Meet on Saturday.

On the girls side, Potter County won the team title with a score of six, while Ipswich (31) and Miller (32) placed second and third. Wall (35) and Philip (37) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Individually, Potter County’s Dannika Kaup won with a time of 19:20.50. Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis finished second with a time of 19:25.45, while Potter County’s Jadyn Ahlemeier (20:20.45) and Emma Schlachter (20:26.00) placed third and fourth, respectively. Jones County’s Jolie Dugan (20:30.45) rounded out the top-five.

On the boys side, Philip won the team title with a score of 12, while Miller (12) and Ipswich (31) finished in second and third place, respectively. Highmore-Harrold (52) and Faulkton Area (56) rounded out the top-five.

Miller’s Pierce Baumberger won the individual title with a time of 16:26.19. Miller’s Alex Schumacher placed second with a time of 16:55.88, while Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter (17:07.63) finished in third place. Philip’s Trey Larson (17:21.03) and Tukker Boe (17:23.99) rounded out the top-five finishers.
