Potter County girls, Mobridge-Pollock boys win Central South Dakota Conference titles

MILLER — The Potter County girls and Mobridge-Pollock boys captured team titles at Saturday’s Central South Dakota Conference track and field meet. 

The Potter County girls recorded 151 points, finishing ahead of Wolsey-Wessington (131) and Mobridge-Pollock (110). The Mobridge-Pollock boys posted 147 points, ahead of Miller (126) and Wolsey-Wessington (121.5)

In boys action, Mobridge-Pollock’s Andrew Fulkerson won the 100-meter dash (:11.88) and ran the lead leg on the winning 400-meter relay (:44.83).

Mobridge-Pollock’s Simon Fried placed first in the 300-meter hurdles (:41.95) and was also on the winning 400-meter relay. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Carter Hinsz won the shot put (45-5.5) and placed second in the discush (122-1), behind teammate Kellen Pfitzer (135-2). 

Potter County’s Carter Luikens won the 200-meter dash (:23.54) and placed third in the 800-meter run (2:16.65). 

Sully Buttes’ Gavin Barber earned a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash (:53.50). 

Miller’s Alex Schumacher captured first-place finishes in the 800-meter run (1:58.14) and 1,600-meter run (4:48.90). 

Miller’s Isaak Hunter won the 110-meter hurdles (:16.52) and placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (:42.95). 

Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter was a double winner in the 1,600-meter run (4:48.90) and 3,200-meter run (10:22.74). 

The Wolsey-Wessington boys won the sprint medley relay (3:47.05) and 1,600-meter relay (3:42.71). Wolsey-Wessington’s Moshe Richmond won the high jump (5-11) and was on both the winning sprint medley relay and 1,600-meter relay teams. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Carson Walters captured the pole vault (11-0) and placed third in the triple jump (34-8.5). 

Sunshine Bible Academy’s Tarrence Mickelson won the triple jump (38-1.75) and Potter County’s Landon Larson won the long jump (19-4). 

In girls action, Potter County’s Megan Seurer won the 100-meter dash (:13.68) and placed fourth in the 200-meter dash (:28.77). She ran on the winning 400-meter relay (:53.54). 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Ryli Thompson won the 200-meter dash (:26.90) and 400-meter dash (1:01.31). Thompson was also on the winning 800-meter relay (1:48.97).

Potter County’s Emma Schlachter won the 800-meter run (2:24.78). Potter County’s Paige Ahlemeier won the 3,200-meter run (13:01.43). Potter County’s Dannika Kaup won the 300-meter hurdles (:47.92) and placed second in the 200-meter dash (:28.07). 

The Potter County girls won the 1,600-meter relay (4:12.62) and 3,200-meter relay (10:11.56).

Mobridge-Pollock’s Heidi Olson won the 1,600-meter run (5:20.71) and placed second in the 800-meter run (2:28.66). 

Faulkton Area’s Carley Cotton won the 100-meter hurdles (:17.07) and finished third in the 300-meter hurdles (:52.04). 

Faulkton Area’s Savanna Hayes won the shot put (33-11.5), placed second in the discus (110-3) and third in the javelin (98-5). 

Miller’s Joanlei Baker won the discus (119-2) and placed third in the shot put (32-5). 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Kailynn Dorris won the javelin (112-5). Wolsey-Wessington’s Tatum Luce won the high jump (5-1) and pole vault (7-6).

Miller’s Paige Werdel won the long jump (15-2.75) 

Potter County’s Kayden Cronin earned a first-place finish in the triple jump (32-11.5) and placed third in the long jump (14-2.25).
