GETTYSBURG — Potter County’s Dannika Kaup and Nicholas Schlachter captured individual titles at Saturday’s Battler Invitational. 

Kaup covered the 5,000-meter distance at the Gettysburg Country Club in 19 minutes and :15.20 seconds, holding off Highmore’s Autumn Fallis (19:31.21). 

Potter County’s Jadyn Ahlemeier (20:00.55) and Emma Schlachter (20:08.26) finished third and fourth, respectively. Warner’s Kennadee Wagner (20:20.01) finished in fifth place.

On the boys side, Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter won the 5,000-meter run in 16:30.82. McLaughlin’s Wamni Kills Crow (17:07.37) and Ipswich’s Xavier Kadlec (17:44.53) placed second and third, respectively. McLaughlin’s Jayden Taken Alive (17:51.61) and Herreid/Selby Area’s Gavin Hirsch (17:58.57) rounded out the top-five runners.
