Rapid City Central’s Karl the Cobbler advances to finals in national mascot tournament

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Central High School’s Karl the Cobbler has advanced to the finals in The64’s “America’s Best High School Mascot Tournament”.

Karl the Cobbler defeated the Hutto High School Hippos (Texas) mascot in the semifinals matchup. Karl the Cobbler will now face off against the Sleepy Hollow High School Headless Horseman (New York) mascot in the finals. 

Earlier this season, Rapid City Central celebrated 100 years of Karl the Cobbler being the school’s official mascot.
