STURGIS — Lauren Knapp captured individual medalist honors at Thursday’s Sturgis girls golf invitational. The meet was shortened to nine holes due to rainy conditions. 

Knapp fired an even-par 36 at Boulder Canyon Golf Club, finishing her round with two birdies and five pars. 

The St. Thomas More trio of Rylan Horning (37), Kaitlin Strain (39) and Mara Wilkening (41) finished second-through-fourth, respectively. Horning’s round included one birdie and six pars. Strain’s round was highlighted by an eagle on the 525-yard, par-5 No. 3 hole. 

Little Wound’s Jaida Jacobs (41) rounded out the top-five golfers. 

St. Thomas More won the team title with a 164, finishing four shots ahead of Stevens (168). Custer (201), Belle Fourche (209) and Rapid City Christian (218) rounded out the top-five teams.
