Scotland steer wrestler Kade Odens leads Team South Dakota on Day 1 of NHSFR
Scotland's Kade Odens finished second in his performance of the steer wrestling competition at the NHSFR Sunday.

Rock Springs, Wyo. —- There’s been one session of the National High School Finals Rodeo and Scotland’s Kade Odens made it count. 

Competing in the steer wrestling competition, Odens finished second in his performance with a time of 6.49 seconds.

Another South Dakotan that performed well Sunday was Isabel’s Rope Roghair in the boys cutting. Roghair tied for second in his performance with a score of 145.5 points.

Barrel Racing: 28. Jayda Reinert, Wall, 22.907 seconds.

Goat Tying: 12. Bailey Verhulst, Reva, 8.93 seconds.

Pole Bending: 18. Tommie Martin, Hayes, 25.418 seconds.
