Huron 3, Aberdeen Central 2

HURON — Huron edged Aberdeen Central in a five-set marathon high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 25-27 and 15-9.


Hamlin 3, Flandreau 2

HAYTI — Hamlin outlasted Flandreau for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 15-25, 25-22, 15-25, and 15-7.

Hamlin’s Kami Wadsworth led with 37 assists, 17 digs, nine aces, and two blocks. Ally Abraham led with 17 kills, while Gracelyn Leiseth added 12 kills and four blocks. Ava Prouty added 14 digs.

Flandreau’s Lily Klein had 12 kills and two blocks, while Claire Sheppard tallied 26 digs and 11 kills. Sadie Iott led with 27 digs, while Abby Schoberl added 23 assists and one ace.


Sioux Falls Christian 3, Dell Rapids 0

DELL RAPIDS — Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian swept Dell Rapids for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-17, and 25-23.

SFC’s Ellie Lems led with 11 kills and three blocks, while Taylor Byl tallied nine kills and three blocks. Addison Barber logged 28 assists, while Lavin Maddox led with nine digs. Maggie Keepers added five aces.

Dell Rapids was led by Madelynn Henry with nine kills and two aces, while Lauryn Kloth had five kills. Sophi Randall logged 15 assists and six digs, while Lexi Ingalls and Kylee Fiddelke added six digs.


Miller 3, Sully Buttes 0

MILLER — Miller swept Sully Buttes in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-10 and 25-10.

Miller’s Ally Mullaney posted 15 kills and one ace. Jaden Werdel added eight kills and nine digs. Aleah Schlechter posted four kills. Tyra Gates added 31 assists and two aces. Jolie Palmer recorded 19 digs. Journey Palmer finished with six digs. Ruby Carder finished with three aces. 

Sully Buttes stats were not reported. 


Howard 3, Freeman 2

HOWARD — Howard dropped the first two sets, but rallied for a five-set high school volleyball win over Freeman on Thursday. The set scores were 19-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-22 and 15-7.

Howard’s Rylee Rudebusch finished with 36 assists, while Kate Connor had 23 kills, three blocks and two aces. Tana Hoyer recorded three aces and nine assists. Abby Aslesen finished with nine kills and two blocks. Canyon Kidd and Piper Thompson had 20 and 15 digs, respectively.

Freeman stats were not reported. 


Webster Area 3, Britton-Hecla 0

BRITTON — Webster Area swept Britton-Hecla for a win in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-18, and 26-24.

Britton-Hecla’s Kaegan Fredrickson led with five kills and four digs, while Katee Freeman tallied eight digs. Emma Kraft had four kills, while Jayden Bender added eight assists.

Webster Area stats were not reported.


Ipswich 3, Waubay/Summit 0

WAUBAY — Ipswich swept Waubay/Summit in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-8, and 25-15.

Waubay/Summit’s Jorja Whempner tallied four kills, while Ava Breske and Kylee Marx added three and two kills, respectively.

Ipswich stats were not reported.


Ethan 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 0

FORESTBURG — Ethan swept Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 26-24, and 25-23.

Ethan’s Ava Lingemann led with 19 digs, 13 kills, and five aces, while Marissa Storm recorded 22 digs, eight kills, four aces, and two blocks. Aubrie Biteler added 23 assists and 18 digs.

SCW’s Kenna Ochsner led with seven kills, three blocks, and two aces, while Kam Ochsner tallied six kills. Kailynn Eggleston recorded 15 digs and two aces, while Bailey Feistner logged 13 digs and 12 assists. Kenlie Fridley had seven assists and Elli Evans added five kills.


Northwestern 3, Langford Area 0

LANGFORD — Class B No. 2 Northwestern swept Langford Area for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-8, and 25-9.

Northwestern’s Ella Haven recorded 13 kills, while Ana Ratigan tallied 10 kills, 25 blocks. Ashley Haven logged eight kills, six digs, and five aces, while Brooklinn Halvorson had 25 assists and three aces. Ella Boekelheide had six digs and two aces, while Payton Grandpre added six digs.

Langford Area stats were not reported.  


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Potter County 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock picked up a high school volleyball win over Potter County on Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 30-28, and 25-9.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson tallied eight kills, seven digs, and three blocks, while Mariah Goehring recorded six kills. Emma Keller logged 18 assists, six kills, and two blocks. Katy Kemnitz had 10 assists and four aces, while Raelyn Aberle had 11 digs and four aces. Reagan Weisbeck added 15 digs. 

Potter County’s Zoe Meinke logged six kills, while Tyler Simon and Kayden Cronin had five kills apiece. Tyler Simon and Rylee Kaup posted eight assists apiece. Ashlee Kaup and Simon had 18 and 13 digs, respectively. 

 

Menno 3, Freeman Academy/Marion 0

 FREEMAN — Menno swept Freeman Academy/Marion for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-13, and 25-16.

Menno’s Josephine Stokes and Morgan Freier each had seven kills. Freier also had six digs, while Alana Fergen recorded seven digs, seven assists, and four aces. Abby Bender tallied six assists and five digs, while Madelyn Kludt had five digs. Julia Buechler had six digs and three aces and Allison Lehr added five digs and four kills.

Freeman Academy/Marion’s Emma McConniel had 20 digs, while Hailey Stahl added two kills, two digs, and two aces.

 

Platte-Geddes 3, Colome 0

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes swept Colome in a high school volleyball game on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-5, and 25-14.

Cadence Van Zee, Avery DeVries, and Karly VanDerWerff each had eight kills. Van Zee added six digs, while VanDerWerff tallied four digs and three blocks. DeVries led with 21 assists. Regan Hoffman added five kills, four aces, three blocks, and three digs. 

Colome’s Jordan Ring had eight assists and four digs, while Landi Krumpus logged seven digs. Westlie Cahoy tallied five digs, while Toree Ringing Shield and Devan Dougherty added three kills apiece. 


Castlewood 3, Deubrook Area 1

WHITE — Castlewood picked up a four-set high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-22, 14-25, 25-14 and 25-22.

Castlewood’s Emerson Carter and Maddie Horn finished with 15 kills apiece. Carter added three blocks, while Horn had 24 digs. Mckenzie Everson added 13 kills and 37 assists. Gracie Haug logged 26 assists and Lyndsey Archer posted 19 digs. 

Deubrook Area’s Skyla Petersen finished with 10 kills, while Brooke Koppatschek had nine kills and 11 assists. Ellie Koenig had eight assists, while Zoey Molengaaf had seven kills. Miranda Moravetz recorded 18 digs, while Koppatschek had 17 digs. Delaney Pedersen had 14 digs. Koppatschek and Molengaaf had two blocks apiece. 


Wagner 3, Chamberlain 0

WAGNER — Class No. 3 Wagner swept Chamberlain in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-5, 25-6 and 25-8.

Wagner’s Emma Yost finished with 10 kills and seven digs. Avari Bruguier finished with 13 kills, while Shalayne Nagel added eight kills and three blocks. Macy Koupal posted 20 assists. Shona Kocer had four blocks. 

Chamberlain’s Jovie VanDenBosch and Megan Marone had two kills apiece. Leigha Long and Alexis Cronk finished with seven and five digs, respectively. Chesney Mutziger added four assists. Nissi Vaad had three aces.


Colman-Egan 3, De Smet 0

COLMAN — Class B No. 5 Colman-Egan swept De Smet in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-17 and 25-13.

Colman-Egan’s Brynlee Landis finished with 10 kills, three solo blocks and two aces. Abby Rhode logged seven kills, while Kadance Landis had six kills and two aces. Lanie Mousel finished with 20 assists and nine digs. Ava Mousel logged eight assists, while Daniela Lee added 10 digs and two blocks.


Redfield 3, Deuel 0

CLEAR LAKE — Redfield swept Deuel in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-7, 25-18 and 25-17.

Redfield’s Camryn Rohlfs finished with 19 assists and two aces. Gracie Fast recorded 10 kills, six aces and two blocks. Mallory Smith added six kills. Chloe Zens added 10 digs. 

Deuel’s Josie Andersen logged five kills, seven digs and three assists. Emma Hamann added two kills and seven digs. Gracie Fieber finished with four aces. Annika Kriz added eight digs. 


Florence/Henry 3, Arlington 0

ARLINGTON — Florence/Henry picked up a three-set win over Arlington on Thursday. The set scores were 25-10, 25-20 and 25-15.

Florence/Henry’s Caylin Kelly notched 11 kills and eight blocks. Macey Lane recorded eight kills and 24 digs. Reese Schmidt finished with 33 assists. Karli Sharp posted two aces and 20 digs. Jozie Hyatt added one ace. Aysia Pahl posted seven blocks. 

Arlington stats were not reported. 


Centerville 3, Corsica-Stickney 0

CENTERVILLE — Centerville swept Corsica-Stickney in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-22 and 25-22.

Centerville’s Thea Gust finished with 11 kills, 10 digs and three aces. Lillie Eide added five kills, three blocks, six kills and three aces. Macey Hostetler added 18 assists, five digs and two aces. Keira Austin logged five digs. Mackenzie Meyer finished with four digs and two aces. 

Corsica-Stickney’s Mara Legge recorded eight kills and nine digs. Sutten Eide posted 20 assists and 10 digs. Payton DeLange logged seven kills and 11 digs. Cali Vanden Hoek finished with nine digs. Jacey Kemp added three aces, nine digs and eight kills. 


Madison 3, West Central 0

HARTFORD — Madison swept West Central in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 29-27, 25-11 and 25-18.

West Central’s Aubree Miller finished with 12 kills, while Maria Peterson added six kills and two aces. Ellie Lienhard logged 23 assists. Jocelyn Nilson and Marissa Dobbs had 23 and 14 digs, respectively. 

West Central stats were not reported. 


Dakota Valley 3, Elk Point-Jefferson 0

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Dakota Valley picked up a three-set high school volleyball win over Elk Point-Jefferson on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-18 and 25-12.

Dakota Valley’s Jorja Vandenhul logged nine kills and three blocks. Claire Munch added nine kills and eight digs. Addie Kleis and Sophie Tuttle recorded six kills apiece, while Kleis added three blocks. Tuttle had 10 digs. Cameron Sommervold finished with two kills and three blocks. Logan Miller had 29 assists and six digs. Reagan VanRoyan had eight digs. 

EPJ’s Sophia Giorgio finished with 16 assists and seven digs. Bentlee Killbaum finished with five kills, while Danica Torrez and Josie Curry had four kills apiece. Alyssa Chytka logged 15 digs. 


Tri-Valley 3, Lennox 2

COLTON — Tri-Valley outlasted Lennox for a five-set high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-13, 20-25, 28-26 and 15-8.

Tri-Valley’s Maddie Wenzel and Megan Wenzel recorded 15 and eight kills, respectively. Cheyenne Hanson posted 25 digs and Kenzie had 19 digs. Nevaeh Grann and Megan Wenzel had three aces apiece. Grann finished with 20 assists, while Brookelyn Stieben had 18 assists. 

Lennox’s Dani Highum finished with 17 kills, while Ella Grengs had 13 digs, 13 assists and six kills. Ashlee Sweeter had 12 digs and four aces. Lilian Meyer posted three aces. Kyah Jackson finished with 24 assists. Carli Kuyper added three blocks. 


Pierre 3, Douglas 0

BOX ELDER — Class AA No. 5 Pierre swept Douglas in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-16 and 25-8.

Pierre’s Ayvrie Kaiser finished with 13 kills, while Lily Sanchez recorded nine kills and 16 assists. Reese Terwilliger had seven kills and six aces.

Douglas stats were unavailable. 


Watertown 3, Brookings 0

WATERTOWN — Watertown swept Brookings for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-19, and 25-21.

Brookings was led by Tayla Dobrenski with seven kills, while Sydney Bebensee recorded seven blocks and five kills. Kymber Buys logged 18 assists, 10 digs, and two aces, while Morgan Linstad led with 14 digs. Rylee Thompson tallied four kills, while Gracey Sheridan added two blocks and two aces.

Watertown stats were not reported.
