TYNDALL — Wagner captured the team title at Saturday’s Cavalier Clash. 

The Red Raiders defeated Bon Homme (25-17, 25-22) in the championship match. Wagner also defeated Alcester-Hudson (25-14, 25-14), Andes Central/Dakota Christian (25-13, 25-8), Elk Point-Jefferson (25-14, 25-17), Gayville-Volin (25-19, 25-9) and Platte-Geddes (25-18, 25-20) en route to the championship.


Miller tops Mobridge-Pollock for Big Dakota Conference championship

FORT PIERRE — Miller finished 4-0 at Saturday’s Big Dakota Conference tournament to win the tournament’s championship. 

The Rustlers defeated Mobridge-Pollock (25-18, 25-19) in the championship match. Miller beat Todd County (25-9, 25-9), Winner (25-21, 25-21) and Stanley County (25-21, 25-11) en route to the championship. 

In the championship match, Miller’s Ally Mullaney finished with eight kills. Tricia Lammers and Abbi Blake logged six kills apiece. Blake recorded two aces and Lammers had a solo block. Jaden Werdel added four kills and seven digs. Tyra Gates dished out 23 assists, while Jolie Palmer had nine digs and one ace. Journey Palmer logged six digs. 

Mullaney, Gates and Jolie Palmer were all-tournament selections. 

Mobridge-Pollock stats were not reported. 


Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 1

FORESTBURG — Oldham-Ramona/Rutland picked up a high school volleyball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Saturday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-18, 22-25, and 25-17.

ORR was led by Julia Trygstad with 18 kills, seven blocks, and two aces. Alivia Bickett tallied 11 kills, 11 digs, and five aces, while Bailey Hyland led with 15 digs. Paige Hanson and Brooklyn Hageman had 26 and 14 assists, respectively.

SCW’s Kenna Ochsner logged 10 kills, two blocks, and two aces, while Kailynn Eggleston had six kills and two aces. Bella Fry had 16 digs, while Ellie Evans tallied 13 digs and five assists. Bailey Feistner added eight assists.
