PRESHO — Lyman defeated Sully Buttes in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-18, 22-25 and 25-18.

Lyman’s Jordyn Scott finished with 12 kills, 11 digs and two blocks. Mak Scott added eight kills, 10 digs and one block. Brooke Montgomery finished with five kills, 13 digs and six aces. Bree Smart totaled 28 assists, 11 digs and eight aces. Claire Griffith had 18 digs. Kenzie Wagner totaled 15 digs and seven aces. Mesa Garnos had four kills.

Sully Buttes stats were not reported. 

Chester 3, Sioux Falls Lutheran 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 1 Chester swept Sioux Falls Lutheran during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-14 and 25-5.

Lily Van Hal led the Flyers with 11 kills, 14 assists, 12 digs and nine aces, Jacy Wolf added six kills, 13 assists and two aces, Emmerson Eppard had six kills, while Gracie Huntimer had eight digs in the win.

Northwestern 3, Ipswich 1

IPSWICH — Class B No. 2 Northwestern defeated Ipswich during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 22-25, 25-14, 25-14 and 25-21.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven had 20 kills and six blocks, Breelyn Satter had nine kills, Lila Johnson recorded seven kills and three blocks, Ella Boekelheide tallied 32 assists, five aces and 14 digs, while Tara Blachford totaled 14 digs in the win.

For Ipswich, Marley Guthmiller had 14 kills, Natalie Crissman had nine kills, Josie Knutson recorded five kills, nine digs, two aces and 26 assists, while Jalyssa Hutson and Karlie Weisser each had two blocks in the loss.

Redfield 3, Britton-Hecla 1 

REDFIELD — Redfield defeated Britton-Hecla in four sets in a high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-14, 33-35, 25-19 and 25-17.

Redfield’s Hayden Gall finished with six blocks, 11 kills and 15 assists. Layla Hardie posted 33 digs, 12 assists and two aces. Mady Morrissette posted two aces. Ceci Suchor totaled 18 kills. Katryn Evans added 38 assists.

BH’s Jaelee Grupe recorded 21 assists. Daynika Zuehlke posted four aces and Karlie Zuehlke tallied two aces. Karlie Zuehlke totaled nine kills and Brynlee Schmieg had eight kills. Daynika Zuehlke posted 22 digs. Airiana Buer posted seven assists. Ava Teveldal had 37 digs. 

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

HIGHMORE — Hitchcock-Tulare swept Highmore-Harrold in Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-19 and 25-8.

HT’s Emmerie Arthurs totaled seven kills, while Rebecca Huizenga had six kills. Cambree Hoekman recorded 17 digs and one ace, while Gracyn Bixler finished with 16 digs and 18 assists. Cora Hofer had four blocks. Olivia Knox added an ace.

For HH, Jada Baloun recorded six kills. Addison McDonnell and Emma Ferens had four kills apiece. Ferens added 13 digs. McDonnell added five aces. Lainee Ping posted 17 digs. Tenley McDonnell totaled nine assists and Carly Stephenson posted five assists. 

Hamlin 3, Tospa Zina 0

HAYTI — Hamlin swept Tiospa Zina during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-3, 25-1 and 25-9.

Jade Thue tallied seven kills, Addie Neuendorf had six kills and 10 aces, Addie Jensen recorded five kills, Issie Steffensen totaled 22 assists and eight aces while Jayci Trowbridge added 11 aces in the win.

Corsica-Stickney 3, Ethan 1

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney defeated Ethan in four sets during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 18-25, 25-23, 29-27 and 25-22.

CS’s Sophie DeLange had 18 kills and two blocks, Braylee Bordewyk had 13 kills, 18 assists, 21 digs, four blocks and six aces, Hadynn Johnson added six kills, Cali Vanden Hoek had 19 digs while Remi Nelson dished out 13 assists and three aces in the win.

Ethan’s Taziah Hawkins recorded 14 kills, 24 digs and 13 assists, Marissa Storm tallied nine kills, Anna Castillo had 22 assists while Rachel Klock totaled 27 digs in the loss.

Avon 3, Scotland 0

AVON — Avon swept Scotland during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-11 and 25-14.

Rilyn Thury tallied 14 kills and 15 digs, Jordyn Voigt had 14 digs and an ace, Kaydence Metzger added nine kills and a block, Brielle Voigt and Kate Swier each had seven digs while Brielle Voigt dished out 33 assists in the win.

Scotland’s Savannah Meng had six kills and eight digs, Hope Starwalt had six blocks, 16 digs and three assists, Kadence Bierle totaled 14 digs while Campbell Mogck collected 26 digs in the loss.

Miller 3, Faulkton Area 0

MILLER — Miller swept Faulkton Area during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-12 and 25-18.

Miller’s Paige Werdel had nine kills, three aces and nine digs, Kate Lichty recorded seven kills, Gracen Werdel had 21 assists and two aces, Jolie Palmer totaled 14 digs while Kaihlyn Anderberg added 12 digs and four aces in the win.

For FA, Anika Mueller tallied five kills and 12 digs, Austina Sorensen had two kills, Claire Cotton dished out 11 assists while Presleigh Martinmaas and Brooklyn Mueller each had eight digs in the loss.

Herreid-Selby Area 3, Leola/Frederick Area 0

HERREID — Herreid-Selby Area swept Leola/Frederick Area during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 26-24 and 25-13 .

For LF, Kalyce Achen had four kills and 14 digs, Karli Achen had three kills, Kaitlyn Mueller tallied two kills and an ace while Eden Podoll recorded four assists and an ace in the loss.

VIBORG — Bridgewater-Emery swept Viborg-Hurley in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-11 and 25-17. 

BE’s Macie Weber finished with 11 kills, while Oakley Weber posted 23 assists, nine digs and two aces. Lily Hilton had nine kills and 11 assists. Reese Meyer-Bublitz had seven kills, while Maizey Strombeck posted 15 digs.

VH’s Presley Skonhovd posted six kills, while Shelby VanDriel tallied four kills. Olivia Hanson added three kills and nine digs. Brooklyn Kessler tallied six assists. Isabella Voog had 13 digs. Hayley Voog totaled nine digs. Ava Marts had two blocks.

Colman-Egan 3, Iroquois-Lake Preston 0

COLMAN — Colman-Egan swept Iroquois-Lake Preston during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-7 and 27-25.

CE’s Brynlee Landis had 13 kills, nine digs and a block, Finley Luze tallied 25 assists and five digs, Caelee LeBrun had seven kills and a block, Mya Reiff recorded six kills, Hannah Grann had 12 assists while Kinley Geigle totaled nine digs in the win.

For ILP, Hadlee Holt tallied eight kills, six digs and two blocks, Sydney Bonomi tallied 16 assists, three digs, two blocks and two aces, Bentlee Holt had nine digs, three kills and two aces, while Brityn Davies tallied eight digs and two kills in the loss.

Brandon Valley 3, Tea Area 0 

TEA — Class AA No. 2 Brandon Valley swept Tea Area in Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-13 and 25-16. 

Brandon Valley’s Jayaunna Stroh finished with 10 kills, while Mya VanWesten and Alexis Vanderham had 11 and 10 digs, respectively. Logan McGuire totaled 25 assists. Riya Sheley posted four aces and Abby Gruber had two blocks.
