SALEM — McCook Central/Montrose swept Parkston in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-17 and 25-18.

 

Northwestern 3, Waubay/Summit 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 2 Northwestern swept Waubay/Summit in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-4, 25-4 and 25-11.

Northwestern’s Ella Haven finished with 17 kills, seven digs and five aces. Ashley Haven and Brooklinn Halvorson put down six kills apiece. Halvorson added 21 assists, while Ashley Haven added eight digs. Payton Grandpre posted four assists and seven aces. Kyra Ratigan had a solo block. 

Waubay/Summit stats were not reported. 

 

Redfield 3, Milbank 2 

REDFIELD — Redfield outlasted Milbank in a five-set volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 17-25, 25-15, 27-25, 23-25, and 15-10.

Redfield’s Gracie Fast had 22 kills, while Mallory Smith had five aces. Camryn Rohlfs had two aces, while Ashlyn Clausen and Chloe Zens tallied 18 and 16 digs, respectively.

Milbank’s Rachel Schulte led with 13 kills and 33 digs, while Claire Snaza had nine kills. Hallie Schulte had 19 digs and five aces, while Addisyn Krause had three aces. Averie Engebretson added 30 assists.

Viborg-Hurley 3, Centerville 0

CENTERVILLE — Viborg-Hurley recorded a three-set sweep over Centerville in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-4 and 25-11.

Viborg-Hurley’s Coral Mason logged 14 kills and 15 digs, while Denae Mach added 11 kills, three blocks and six digs. Mataya Vannorsdel recorded 27 assists, six digs and two kills. Estelle Lee posted six digs, three aces and three kills. Charley Nelson finished with 11 digs and four aces. Addison Huth finished with five kills and four blocks. 

Centerville’s Rylie Tieman recorded four kills, while Thea Gust had three kills and five digs. Macey Hostetler finished with 10 kills and three digs. Bailey Hansen had three kills and three digs. 

Andes Central/Dakota Christian 3, Freeman Academy/Marion 1 

FREEMAN — Andes Central/Dakota Christian picked up a four-set high school volleyball win against Freeman Academy/Marion on Thursday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-18, 24-26, and 27-25.

AC/DC was led by Abigail Svatos with 15 kills, 10 digs, and two blocks, while Halle Olson had 11 kills, four blocks, and two digs. Claire Johnson had nine kills and 11 digs, while Ona’ka Doren also had 11 digs. Josie Brouwer recorded 26 digs and 19 assists, while Mahpiya Irving had 22 assists, 11 digs, and six aces. Nevaeh Morgan had 12 digs, while Hannah Tronvold added 10 digs and three aces.

FAM was led by Alivea Weber with 14 kills and 16 digs, while Leah Goodwin tallied seven kills and 12 digs. Isabell McConniel had five kills and 17 assists, while Emma McConniel logged 20 digs and four aces.

Burke 3, Bon Homme 1

TYNDALL — Class B No. 4 Burke earned a high school volleyball win against Bon Homme on Thursday. The set scores were 18-25, 25-13, 25-19, and 25-19.

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl logged 17 kills and 25 digs, while Kailee Frank tallied 14 kills and 14 digs. Emmie Hausman had 11 kills and four digs, while Elly Witt had 18 assists and nine digs. Ava Sargent had 11 assists and eight digs, while Paige Bull added four blocks.

Bon Homme’s Jenna Duffek tallied 11 kills and two blocks, while Taycee Ranek had eight kills, three blocks, and three digs. Jaden Kortan had 25 assists, while Kenadee Kozak had seven kills and three digs. Jurni Vavruska added four blocks, four digs, and three kills.

Burke 3, Chamberlain 0

TYNDALL — Class B No. 4 Burke swept Chamberlain in straight sets in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-5, 25-4, and 25-15.

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl tallied 10 kills, nine digs, and five aces, while Emmie Hausman had five kills. Kailee Frank had four kills and four aces, while Elle Johnson logged 13 digs and three aces. Elly Witt added four aces.

Chamberlain’s stats were not available. 

Scotland 3, Marty 0 

SCOTLAND — Scotland swept Marty for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-3, 25-20, and 25-13.

Scotland’s Martina DeBoer led with 15 kills, four blocks, and four digs. Trinity Bietz tallied 12 kills, and 10 digs, while Kalley Vitek logged 16 assists, six digs, and six aces. Claire Janish added 13 assists, six digs, four aces, and three kills.

Marty stats were not reported.

Avon 3, Colome 1

AVON — Avon picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Colome on Thursday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-22, 19-25, and 25-21.

Avon was led by Courtney Sees with 18 kills, 20 digs, and one ace, while Lila Vanderlei tallied 11 kills, 16 digs, and one ace. Grace Vanderlei had 17 digs, while Macy Voigt and Sarah Swier had 14 and 13 digs, respectively. Swier also had two aces, while Kenna Kochmich had 27 assists. Gracie Small and Lexi Vanderlei each added four kills.

Colome’s Libby Petersek tallied nine kills, 18 digs, and one ace, while Ashlyn Hoffine tallied 15 digs and two aces. Maura Luedke had seven kills, while Devan Dougherty added 20 assists. Landi Krumpus had 24 digs, while Toree Ringing Shield had two blocks.

Wagner 3, Kimball/White Lake 0

WAGNER — Class A No. 5 Wagner swept Kimball/White Lake in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-14, 25-12 and 25-13.

Wagner’s Emma Yost finished with 11 kills and 11 digs. Shona Kocer added eight kills and three blocks. Kya Kjeldgaard recorded five kills and three blocks. Avari Bruguier had 10 kills and Shalayne Nagel added four blocks. Macy Koupal dished out 26 assists.

KWL’s Dani Deffenbaugh recorded 11 kills, 12 digs and two aces. Ryann Nielsen finished with seven kills, 10 digs, three aces and seven assists. 

Ipswich 3, Langford Area 0 

IPSWICH — Ipswich swept Langford Area in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-10, 25-14, and 25-16.

Ipswich was led by Gracie Lange with 12 kills, while Baylee Kulesa had seven kills. Quincy Olivier tallied six kills, six aces, and 28 assists, while Madison Geditz logged 22 digs and four aces. Vanesa Diaz added seven digs.

Langford Area stats were not reported.

 

Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Colman-Egan 1

COLMAN — Elkton-Lake Benton picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Colman-Egan on Thursday. The set scores were 25-22, 21-25, 25-10 and 25-22.

ELB’s Rachael Krog logged 18 kills, 20 digs and two block assists. Kailyn Drietz posted nine kills, two aces and 24 digs. Andrea Renkly added nine kills, seven digs and seven block assists. Kylie Ramlo posted nine kills, 10 digs and four block assists. Aubree Bales finished with four kills, three digs and four block assists. Tevan Erickson added 41 assists, 16 digs, three kills and two block assists. Kayla Goertz finished with 12 digs and two aces. Kinsley Krog had six digs. 

CE’s Lanie Mousel finished with 20 assists, 16 digs and three block assists. Ava Mousel recorded 12 assists, while Daniela Lee added 21 digs, five kills, four assists and three block assists. Kadance Landis posted 16 kills. Abby Rhode and Berkley Groos had seven kills apiece, while Brynlee Landis had five kills, 13 digs and three solo blocks. Presley Luze had 14 digs.

Arlington 3, Dell Rapids St. Mary 1

ARLINGTON — Arlington defeated Dell Rapids St. Mary in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-20.

Arlington’s Natalie Burns posted 16 kills, two aces and one block. Morgan Larsen finished with 15 kills. Tanaya Weiss added 43 assists and three aces. Addie Steffensen and Harley Johnson posted 20 and 14 digs, respectively. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary stats were not reported.

Aberdeen Christian 3, North Central 1

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen Christian recorded a four-set high school volleyball win over North Central on Thursday. The set scores were 25-22, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-22.

Aberdeen Christian’s Chloe Bosma posted 14 kills and six aces, while Jolie Fogarty added five kills and 29 assists. Alexis Isakson added 45 digs. 

North Central’s Billie Jo Hoffman posted 10 kills and Amree VanderVorst had nine kills. Natalie Bieber added eight kills and four aces. 

  

Deubrook Area 3, Estelline/Hendricks 1

ESTELLINE — Deubrook Area picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Estelline/Hendricks on Thursday. The set scores were 25-22, 16-25, 25-16 and 25-22.

Deubrook Area’s Skyla Petersen finished with nine kills, while Miranda Moravetz had eight kills, 12 digs and two aces. Brooke Koppatschek finished with 18 assists and Ellie Koenig recorded 10 assists. Zoey Molengraaf had three blocks and Mattie Bausman finished with two blocks. Delaney Pedersen had 30 digs. 

Estelline/Hendricks’s Kenzy Beare finished with 35 digs, 17 kills and four blocks. Brooke Johnson added nine kills and six assists. Sadie Johnson recorded 27 assists, while Julie Williams finished with four kills and 34 digs. Maddy Ebbers added 41 digs and two aces. Claire Nagel finished with two blocks. 

 

Sioux Falls Christian 3, Dakota Valley 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian swept Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-18 and 25-21.

Sioux Falls Christian’s Ellie Lems posted 11 kills and two blocks. Peyton Poppema added two aces, seven kills and 10 digs. Sidney Oostra recorded two aces, nine kills and 12 digs. Taylor Byl logged eight kills, while Lavin Maddox posted 15 digs. Addisen Barber had two aces, 34 assists and six digs. 

Dakota Valley’s Sophie Tuttle and Addie Kleis had nine and seven kills apiece. Jorja VanDenHul had two blocks and Tuttle had a block. Reagan VanRooyan and Tuttle each had aces. Kate VanRooyan recorded 15 digs, while Reagan VanRooyan added 10 digs. Logan Miller finished with 24 assists. 

Dell Rapids 3, Flandreau 0

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids swept Flandreau in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-19, 25-9 and 25-17.

Dell Rapids’s Madelynn Henry finished with 10 kills, while Lauryn Kloth posted seven kills. Sophi Randall added 20 assists, three blocks and seven aces. Kloth and Henry both had three aces. Kylee Fiddelke added 10 digs, while Lexi Ingalls recorded eight digs. Clara Justice had a block.

Flandreau’s Claire Sheppard finished with seven kills and two blocks. Abby Schoberl finished with 17 assists and two blocks. Addy Hammer added 10 digs, while Sadie Iott logged eight digs. Lizzie Pavlis put down six kills. 

West Central 3, Lennox 1 

HARTFORD — West Central picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Lennox on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 22-25, 25-21 and 25-19.

West Central’s Aubree Miller posted 10 assists, eight kills, two aces and one block. Stormee Klein and Madilyn Dinges posted seven kills apiece. Ellie Leinhard added two aces and 12 assists. Maria Peterson recorded two aces. Jocelyn Nilson and Landry Heath finished with 22 and 18 digs, respectively. Josie Dinges and Marissa Dobbs each had blocks.

Lennox stats were not reported. 

Madison 3, Tri-Valley 1 

MADISON — Madison picked up a four-set volleyball win over Tri-Valley on Thursday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, and 25-16.

Madison’s Audrey Nelson had 17 kills, 12 digs, four blocks, and three aces. Amanda Vacanti logged nine kills, 12 assists, and four aces, while Maycee Theede tallied 14 digs. Karley Theede had 12 assists, while Karley Lurz added two blocks.

Tri-Valley’s Ava Pearson led with eight kills, while Megan Wenzel had four kills and four aces. Kenzie Atwood logged 17 digs, while Erica Bicknase tallied 15 digs and two aces. Brookelyn Stieben and Nevaeh Grann had 12 and nine assists, respectively.

Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Brandon Valley 1

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 5 Sioux Falls Jefferson picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Brandon Valley on Thursday. The set scores were 20-25, 25-19, 25-11 and 25-22.

Jefferson’s Maddie Paulsen finished with nine kills, while Emory Brosnahan and Brooke Thorstenson had eight kills apiece. Brosnahan added two blocks. Presly Pastian added 21 assists, while Averi Schmitt logged 14 assists. Cora Hokenstad recorded 26 digs and Kendall Kniffen added 15 digs. Brooke Bowen had 11 digs. Ella Kvernmo added four aces, while Taylor Evenson finished with three blocks.
