Bridgewater-Emery 3, Ethan 2 

ETHAN — Class B No. 5 Bridgewater-Emery outlasted Ethan in a five-set high school match on Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-18, 25-15, 18-25 and 15-9.

 

Wagner 3, Hanson 2

WAGNER —Wagner clipped Hanson in a five-set thriller during Tuesday’s high school  volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 21-25, 23-25 and 16-14.

Wagner’s Ravyn Medricky had 18 kills, 28 digs and six blocks, Hannah Holzbauer added 14 kills and 23 digs, Brylie Link recorded six kills and five blocks as well. Kylin Insko had 20 digs and 40 assists while Brianna Fuchs had three blocks and five aces in the win.

For Hanson, Ava Doyle had 21 kills, 12 assists and two aces, Alivia Bender had 12 kills, Brooklyn Schroeder collected eight kills and six digs, Jozlynn Tegethoff had 18 digs and two aces, Claire Bridge tallied 27 digs while Audrina Waldera had 12 assists in the loss as well.


Chester 3, Deubrook Area 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 1 Chester swept Deubrook Area in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-21, 25-10 and 25-12.

Chester’s Emmerson Eppard recorded 12 kills. Jacy Wolf added 13 assists, nine kills and two aces. Gracie Mensch tallied two blocks. Gracie Huntimer had 16 digs. Lily VanHal added 14 digs and 14 assists. Elise VanHal had two aces. 

For Deubrook Area, Makenna Ekern recorded six assists and 11 digs. Kylee Johnson totaled four assists and one block. Chloe Haines and Brynlee Hanson totaled five kills apiece. Neely Gustad had 11 digs. Hanson, Matti Ramlo and Carly Engelstad had two blocks apiece. 


Northwestern 3, Redfield 0

REDFIELD — Class B No. 2 Northwestern swept Redfield in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-21 and 25-19.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven posted 15 kills, 10 digs and two aces. Breelyn Satter finished with 10 kills and four aces. Ella Boekelheide posted 31 assists and 12 digs. Kylee Henjum had a block.

For Redfield, Charli Jungwirth finished with seven kills. Ceci Suchor posted six kills. Hayden Gall added three blocks, 13 digs and 11 assists. Katryn Evans and Kinley Smith each had aces. Layla Hardie recorded 10 assists and 15 digs.


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

HITCHCOCK — Hitchcock-Tulare swept Sunshine Bible Academy in volleyball action Tuesday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-14 and 25-8.

HT’s Cora Hofer had 13 kills, Rebecca Huizenga added six kills and two aces, Gracyn Bixler dished out 25 assists while Cambree Hoekman totaled eight digs in the win.

SBA’s Ciera Mickelson tallied four kills and six digs, Soleil Mickelson added two kills and two aces, Breanna Thiemann dished out four assists while Kalyn Sarchet tallied three assists in the loss.


Corsica-Stickney 3, Wessington Springs 0 

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney swept Wessington Springs in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-13 and 27-25.

Corsica-Stickney’s Sophie DeLange finished with 15 kills, two blocks and four aces. Braylee Bordewyk had 17 assists, 14 kills and two blocks. Remi Nelson finished with 10 assists. Hadynn Johnson totaled four aces and 12 digs. Cali VandenHoek posted 17 digs. 

For Wessington Springs, Kaitlyn Braun finished with nine kills. Raygen Teveldal posted four kills. Sydney Richardson posted two kills. Logan Mohling tallied 19 assists and 12 digs. Remie Roduner had 11 digs. Kenzie Kolousek had 11 digs. Kolousek also had two aces.


Miller 3, Chamberlain 0

MILLER — Miller swept Chamberlain during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-11 and 25-14.

Miller’s Emma Pugh had 12 kills and four digs, Kaihlyn Anderberg added nine kills, six digs and an ace, Kate Lichty recorded six kills, Hailey Werdel added four kills, Gracen Werdel collected 26 assists and four aces while Jolie Palmer tallied 12 digs and two assists in the win.

Chamberlain’s Natalie Nelson had four kills, Jovie VanDenBosch recorded 12 digs and two kills, Jayde McQuirk had eight assists while Sadie Herman tallied 10 digs and an ace in the loss.


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-19, 25-6.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Blake Thompson finished with five kills and four digs. Pacey Konold, Jayda Thompson and Jersey Frederick had three kills apiece. Bentley Bauer posted two kills. Ellie Kemnitz had nine assists and seven digs. Tegan Konold recorded seven digs. 

CEB stats were not reported. 


Viborg-Hurley 3, Scotland 0

VIBORG — Viborg-Hurley swept Scotland in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 29-27, 25-14 and 25-22.

VH’s Tatum Hauger finished with 10 kills and two blocks. Olivia Hanson finished with seven kills. Presley Skonhovd totaled five kills. Brooklyn Hoesing had seven assists, two kills and one dig. Lexie Wetering totaled 13 assists, four digs and two aces. Isabella Voog posted nine digs. Brooklyn Kessler had six assists and two digs. 

For Scotland, Savannah Meng had eight kills, three blocks and 17 digs. Hope Starwalt recorded five kills, six assists and eight digs. Braelyn Fischer totaled nine assists and six digs. Campbell Mogck finished with 23 assists and two assists. Kadence Bierle finished with nine digs and two kills. 


North Central 3, Leola/Frederick Area 0

ROSCOE — North Central swept Leola/Frederick Area in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-15 and 25-16.

North Central stats were not reported.

Leola/Frederick’s Kaitlyn Mueller, Kalyce Achen and Stella Rath had four kills apiece. Tayler Vetter recorded eight assists and Eden Podoll posted seven assists. Kaitlyn Mueller had three blocks and Achen had one block. Mueller recorded 21 digs and Achen posted 14 digs. 


Madison 3, Vermillion 0

VERMILLION — Madison swept Vermillion in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-17 and 25-23.

Madison’s Lydia Nelson finished with 14 kills, eight digs, two blocks and one ace. Jaya Engels posted 10 kills and 10 digs. Grace Feige had four kills, while Ella Malone added three kills, three blocks, nine digs and four aces. Karley Theede posted 29 assists and five digs. Elli Comes had two blocks and Mara Klingbile posted 12 digs.

For Vermillion, Josie Askew finished with 10 kills and Tessa Peterson added nine kills. Mercedes Rettig had three kills and two blocks. Kara Chapman posted 12 assists, 10 digs and three aces. Flynn Peterson posted 42 digs and Brooke VanDrongelen had 24 digs. Ally Peterson posted five assists. 


Brandon Valley 3, Dakota Valley 0

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class AA No. 2 Brandon Valley swept Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 27-25, 25-16 and 25-19.

Brandon Valley’s Abby Gruber finished with 16 kills and five digs. Jayaunna Stroh totaled two blocks, 13 kills and 18 digs. Jersie Melcher posted 12 kills and two blocks. Kennedi Boomsma added eight kills and four blocks. Logan McGuire finished with 49 assists, eight digs and one ace. Mya VanWestin had 24 digs. Riya Sheley had eight kills, eight digs, one ace and one block.

For DV, Maddie Munch recorded 32 assists. Claire Munch finished with 19 kills and 13 digs. Sammy Kimball recorded seven kills. Corine Kimball finished with 21 digs, while Aubree Worden posted 17 digs and two aces.
