Gregory 3, Lyman 2 

GREGORY — Gregory outlasted Lyman in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 19-25, 25-6, 21-25, 25-15 and 20-18. 

Gregory stats were not reported. 

Lyman’s Jordyn Scott finished with 12 kills, nine digs, two aces and two blocks. Mak Scott added 11 kills and 12 digs. Kenzie Wagner totaled 10 kills and 10 digs. Brooke Montgomery finished with six kills and eight digs. Claire Griffith posted five kills and 11 digs. Bree Smart added 26 assists, six digs, four kills and two aces. 


Dell Rapids 3, Sioux Falls Christian 2

SIOUX FALLS — Class A No. 1 Dell Rapids clipped Class A No. 2 Sioux Falls Christian in a five-set thriller on Thursday. The set scores were 20-25, 25-22, 28-26, 23-25 and 15-12.

Dell Rapids’ Madelynn Henry piled up 28 kills, 18 digs and added six aces. Peyton Hohn finished with 14 kills and one block. Sylea Sykes added 2.5 blocks. Jocelyn Amundson finished with three aces. Alaina Wolff totaled 24 digs. Tenley Anderson finished with 56 assists.

For Sioux Falls Christian, Tavyn Sichmeller finished with 15 kills and nine digs. Camdyn Mulder finished with 12 kills and three digs. Allyra Dorhout posted eight kills and four blocks. Kinzie Poppema had six kills, while Jayla Overman posted eight kills, three digs and two aces. Meredith Nelson finished with 35 assists and 13 digs. 


Avon 3, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 0 

AVON — Avon swept Andes Central/Dakota Christian in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-10 and 25-10.

Avon’s Rilyn Thury finished with 14 kills, while Breanna Hento had six kills. Kaydence Metzger had five kills, 12 digs and three aces. Brielle Voigt dished out 22 assists and had nine aces. Jordyn Voigt had 21 digs. 

For ACDC, Marin Bultje posted four kills. Lily Muckey had three kills and three assists. Audrey DeHaan added three blocks. 


Burke 3, Kimball/White Lake 0

BURKE — Burke swept Kimball/White Lake in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-7 and 25-16. 

Burke’s Emmie Hausmann finished with 12 kills, nine kills and one block. Brianna Davis posted 10 kills and five aces, while Daytona Paris had five kills and one block. Emmy Spencer recorded two aces, four kills, 11 digs and 12 assists. Kyrie Matucha totaled 14 digs and four assists. Breckynn Pistulka totaled 12 assists. Katelynn Hagberg finished with five aces. 

For KWL, Rylee McCord totaled eight kills. Brandi Surat had six kills, while Sienna Gillen posted 13 digs and two aces. Reata Kiehn finished with five kills. Kyza Johnson and Kaitlyn Priebe posted four and three blocks, respectively. Mariah Gosmire had 12 assists.


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, James Valley Christian 0

HURON — Hitchcock-Tulare swept James Valley Christian during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-16, and 25-11.

Cora Hofer led the Patriots with 12 kills, Emmerie Arthurs had four kills, six digs and four aces, Tess Bixler recorded four kills and four blocks, Gracyn Bixler dished out 26 assists, while Cambree Hoekman added 12 digs in the win.

JVC’s stats were not reported.


Northwestern 3, Langford 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 3 Northwestern swept Langford in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-7 and 25-11.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 15 kills, eight digs, two blocks and two aces. Kylee Henjum, Taylor Vetter and Breelyn Satter had five kills apiece. Ella Boekelheide recorded 28 assists and three aces. Tara Blachford finished with 10 digs and four aces. Lila Johnson had eight digs and two assists. Sophia Troske added two aces and Mikaela Schmitt posted seven digs. 

For Langford, Autumn Wegleitner posted two kills. Lizzie Gustafson and Emily Olson each had kills. Paytyn Marlow recorded four assists. Gustafson added eight digs and Olson had six digs. Alex Darling posted nine digs. 


Dakota Valley 3, Elk Point-Jefferson 0 

ELK POINT — Class A No. 3 Dakota Valley swept Elk Point-Jefferson in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-10, 25-18 and 25-21.

DV’s Claire Munch finished with 21 kills and 11 digs. Sam Kimball posted 10 kills, while Aubree Worden had six kills and 12 digs. Coryn Kimball had 19 digs. Madie Munch posted 31 assists and three aces. 

For EPJ, Molly Geary finished with 13 digs, two kills and two assists. Laney Trometer tallied seven digs and 12 assists. Cera Schmitz finished with 10 kills and 11 digs. Kate Hayes totaled five kills and six digs. Makinley Hammitt had three digs.


Ipswich 3, Waubay-Summit 0

IPSWICH — Ipswich swept Waubay-Summit during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-15.

Marley Guthmiller led Ipswich with 13 kills and eight digs, Natalie Crissman had seven kills, Jalyssa Hutson tallied six kills, while Josie Knutson dished out 28 assists in the win.

For W-S, Addison Heinje and Liza Purdy each had 10 kills, including 16 digs and two aces from Heinje, Mackenzie Zubke recorded 14 digs while Caley Boik dished out eight assists in the loss.


Arlington 3, Iroquois-Lake Preston 0

LAKE PRESTON — Arlington swept Iroquois-Lake Preston during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-19 and 25-20.

Arlington’s Jaelyn Huntimer led the Cardinals with 21 kills and 15 digs, Halley Miller had seven kills, while Sony Johnson dished out 34 assists and added four aces in the win.

ILP’s Hadlee Holt tallied eight kills, 13 digs, three blocks and an ace, Bentlee Holt recorded two kills and 13 digs, Sydney Bonomi had five assists while Brityn Davies totaled four assists in the loss.


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Irene-Wakonda 0 

IRENE — Tripp-Delmont/Armour swept Irene-Wakonda in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-19 and 25-16.

TDA’s Mia Reiner finished with 14 kills and seven digs. Kinley Spaans posted 17 assists, seven digs and five aces. Ryenn Loneman had nine digs and one kill. Sara Bertram added nine digs and two kills.

IW’s Addison Brockmueller finished with 13 digs and five kills. Rylee Nielson had four kills, while Natalie Girard posted three kills. Bella Healy had eight kills and six digs. Reagan Rudd recorded 25 assists and 10 digs. Rose Libby posted four digs, three kills and two aces. Emily Oien recorded 20 digs. Maryn Lyngstad posted two kills and four digs.


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 0

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton swept Oldham-Ramona/Rutland during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-15, and 25-17.

ELB’s Sydney DeVries had 12 kills, Charlie Thooft tallied eight kills, 11 digs and three aces, Jalyn Frerichs added six kills, Madde Jensen totaled six aces, Malyha Slegers totaled 16 assists, Payton Kuehl had 10 assists while Quinn Slegers netted eight digs in the win.

For ORR, Hattie Hanson had five skills, Brooklyn Riedel tallied four kills, five digs and four assists, Rylan Pearson totaled four kills, 10 assists and an ace, while Gabby Pickard had seven digs in the loss.


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Gettysburg 1

GETTYSBURG — Mobridge-Pollock defeated Gettysburg in four sets during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 18-25, 25-13, 25-15 and 25-23.

Jayda Thompson tallied eight kills, Blake Thompson had eight kills and two aces, Pacey Konold and Jersey Frederick had six kills each, while Ellie Kemnitz totaled 19 assists in the win.

Gettysburg’s stats were not reported.


Corsica-Stickney 3, Centerville 2

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney outlasted Centerville in a five-set thriller during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-7, 23-25, 23-25, 25-14 and 15-11.

CS’s Sophie DeLange had 19 kills and 25 digs, Braylee Bordewyk added 14 kills, 20 assists and a block, Hadynn Johnson had 10 kills, 23 digs, six aces and a block, Remi Nelson totaled 16 assists and four aces, while Cali Vanden Hoek recorded 21 digs in the win.

For Centerville, Lillee Shearer tallied 14 kills and a block, Izzie Eide had six kills and three blocks, Ashlyn Hagena had three kills, Ella Ruter totaled four kills and 14 digs, Haley Childress dished out 22 assists and 13 digs while Tessa Eide led the team with 36 digs in the loss.


Winner 3, Valentine (Neb.) 1

WINNER — Winner swept Valentine, Nebraska, during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-15, 21-25 and 25-23.

Winner’s Payton Sargent had 13 kills and two aces, Lilly Barfuss recorded 10 kills, Livvy Barfuss had nine kills and four aces, Kylie Sargent had eight kills, Gracie Root dished out 42 assists while Kylie Sachtjen had three blocks in the win.


West Central 3, Madison 2 

MADISON — West Central edged Madison in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 23-25, 18-25, 28-26, 25-20 and 15-6.

West Central’s Ella Harden finished with 29 kills and Madi Ingalls added 26 kills. Ellie Knight had 14 digs and Ingalls added 12 digs. Cambree Ideker posted 48 assists. Sofia Gross had eight blocks and Izzy McKinney posted two blocks.

For Madison, Lydia Nelson recorded 15 kills, 12 digs and five blocks. Jaya Engels finished with 13 kills and 14 digs. Ella Malone had four aces and Grace Feige posted three aces. Maria Klingbile posted 12 digs. Karley Theede tallied 41 assists and four blocks.


Redfield 3, Deuel 0

CLEAR LAKE — Redfield swept Deuel during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-20 and 25-14.

Kinley Smith led the Pheasants with seven kills and one block, Hayden Gall had six kills and four assists, Charli Jungwirth collected three kills, Katryn Evans had 21 digs while Layla Hardie tallied four assists and eight digs in the win.

For Deuel, Camdyn Peterreins had eight kills, 10 digs and two aces, Lauryn Peterreins had five kills, two aces and a block, Alayna Carlson tallied five kills, Gracyn Gohring had 11 assists and three aces, Braylin Kreger collected seven assists, while Ella Kerkvliet tallied 15 digs in the loss.
