Todd County 3, Chamberlain 2

CHAMBERLAIN — Todd County outlasted Chamberlain in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 24-26, 22-25, 25-21 and 15-10. 

Leading Todd Couty was Frankie Iron Heart who had 13 kills and 10 digs. Maddie Metcalf added nine kills and five aces. Bree White Hat finished with five blocks and 12 assists and Jaz Blacksmith added nine digs. 

Stats for Chamberlain were not reported. 


Burke 3, Corsica-Stickney 0

CORSICA — Class B No. 2 Burke swept Corsica-Stickney in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-12 and 25-14.

Burke’s Emmie Hausmann finished with 13 kills, while Paige Bull had 10 kills and one block. Kailee Frank finished with 10 digs, three kills and one ace. Emmy Spencer had eight digs, while Kyrie Matucha posted three aces and six digs. Ava Sargent had two aces.

For Corsica-Stickney, Braylee Bordewyk finished with nine kills, eight assists and seven digs. Sophie DeLange logged one block, five kills and eight assists. Hadynn Johnson posted nine digs and one block. Cali Vanden Hoek had an ace. 


Warner 3, Ipswich 0

IPSWICH — Class B No. 4 Warner swept Ipswich in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-18 and 25-8.

Warner’s Kyleigh Schopp finished with 11 kills and three blocks. Miah Leidholt and Jaycee Jung recorded eight kills apiece. Libby Scepaniak recorded 20 assists. Reagan Wood added 12 assists. Makenna Leidholt and Jordyn Jensen had three and two aces, respectively. Courtney Leidholt had three blocks. Jensen had 15 digs and Makenna Leidholt posted nine digs.

For Ipswich, Marley Guthmiller finished with eight kills and 27 digs. Kaylin Onken had four kills. Josie Knutson and Brianna Geditz had two aces apiece. Josie Knutson and Reaghan Bowers had seven assists apiece. Geditz added 26 digs. Anna Nierman and Karli Weisser had three blocks apiece.

 

Rapid City Christian 3, Philip 0

PHILIP — Rapid City Christian swept Philip in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-22 and 25-13.

Rapid City Christian’s Chloe Weber finished with 19 kills and seven digs, while Maddie Altstiel logged eight kills and one block. Sam Warnke posted 12 digs, seven kills, four aces and one block. Paisley Griffith had 16 digs and one ace. Adi Egge recorded 33 assists and eight digs. Miley Johnson had three blocks. Clara Nalley added five digs. 

Philip stats were not reported.


Gayville-Volin 3, Viborg-Hurley 1

VIBORG — Class B No. 5 Gayville-Volin knocked off Viborg-Hurley in four sets in Tuesday night volleyball action. The set scores were 20-25, 27-25. 25-17 and 25-18. 

Leading Gayville-Volin was Maia Achen who finished with 16 kills, 23 digs and three aces. Britton Scheetz had 20 assists and 13 digs while Jolie Westrum had 22 digs, six kills, a block and an ace. Taylor Hoxeng led with 30 digs and added four aces. 

Charley Nelson paced Viborg-Hurley with 30 digs, five assists and an ace. Danica Gordon contributed seven kills and six digs and Olivia Hanson finished with four kills, a block and 17 digs.


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Aberdeen Christian 0

TULARE — Class B No. Hitchcock-Tulare defeated Aberdeen Christian in straight sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-15, and 25-20.

H-T’s Katelyn Schroeder tallied 11 kills and 19 digs, Lila Johnson had 19 assists, Ella Johnson recorded six kills and three aces, Gracyn Bixler dished out 13 assists, Cambree Hoekman had 16 digs, while Isabel Gilbert led the Patriots in blocks with three.

Aberdeen Christian’s Sawyer Schwan dished out 14 assists and recorded eight digs, Arianna Johnson tallied five kills and 13 digs, while Alexis Isakson led the Knights in digs with 13 in the loss.


Chester 3, Elkton-Lake Benton 0

ELKTON — Class B No. 1 Chester swept Elkton-Lake Benton in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-21 and 25-18.

Lily Van Hal paced the Flyers with three aces, 28 assists and 17 kills. Jacy Wolf finished with 16 digs, two blocks and nine assists. Katelyn Schut put down 14 kills and Gracie Huntimer added 16 digs. 

Andrea Renkley led Elkton-Lake Benton with 10 kills and four digs. Malyha Slegers dished out 27 assists and Charlie Thooft finished with five kills and 10 digs.


Faulkton Area 3, Leola/Frederick 0

LEOLA — Faulkton Area defeated Leola/Frederick in straight sets during Tuesday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-8, and 25-21.

Faulkton Area’s Claire Cotton tallied 28 assists, Carley Cotton had 14 kills and 14 digs, Anna Aesoph recorded 19 digs, Anika Mueller had six aces, while Jaymi Senn tallied nine kills in the win as well.

LF’s Jill Ellwein tallied seven kills, Tayler Vetter had eight assists, while Zoe Cox recorded 19 digs in the loss.


Potter County 3, Highmore-Harrold 2

HIGHMORE — Potter County pulled out the win in a five-set thriller during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 20-25, 25-13, 25-19, 18-25, and 15-13.

Potter County’s stats were not reported.

HH’s Addison McDonnell tallied 14 kills, Jada Baloun had nine kills and 5 five blocks, Brooklyn Baloun tallied 21 assists and 20 digs, while Callie Chavez had 24 digs in the loss.


Deubrook Area 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0

DEUBROOK — Deubrook Area swept Iroquois/Lake Preston in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-13 and 25-9. 

Kylee Johnson led the Dolphins with eight kills, an ace and 15 digs and three blocks.. Zoey Molengraaf added eight kills while Mattie Bauman dished out 29 assists and an ace. Chloe Haines finished with five kills, an ace and 10 digs. 

Hadlee Holt had three kills, 19 digs and a block to lead Iroquois/Lake Preston. 


Mobridge/Pollock 3, Timber Lake 0

TIMBER LAKE — Mobridge-Pollock improved to 7-0 for the season with a straight sets win over TImber Lake in Tuesday volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-11 and 25-17. 

Leading the Tigers was Charley Henderson who finished with 15 kills, three aces and five digs. Raelyn Aberle added seven kills and 13 digs and Grace Overland finished with two aces, 15 assists and eight digs. Ella Kemnitz contributed 11 kills, four digs and an ace. 

Stats for Timber Lake were not reported.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, Redfield 0

REDFIELD — Mount Vernon/Plankinton swept Redfield in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-11.

MVP’s Reagan Rus led the Titans with 23 kills and four aces. Alyssa Johnson recorded 32 assists and 10 digs. Alexis Hauge had 12 digs. Maggie Overby had three blocks.

For Redfield, Kinley Smith posted five kills. Kendyl Siebrecht had two aces. Brooklyn Rische had eight digs, while Hayden Gall had 12 assists and five digs.


Wagner 3, Avon 1

WAGNER — Wagner earned a four-set victory over Avon during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, and 25-22.

Wagner’s Ravyn Medricky paced the Red Raiders with 16 kills, 18 digs, and five blocks. Hannah Holzbauer tallied 14 kills and 17 digs, Brylie Link and Braxton Nedved each had seven kills, including 17 digs and 37 assists by Nedved.

Avon’s Lila Vanderlei had 15 kills and 34 digs, Rilyn Thury had 13 kills and 20 digs, while Brielle Voigt dished out 33 assists and 21 digs in the loss.


Hanson 3, Canistota 0

CANISTOTA — Hanson swept Canistota in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-14.

Canistota’s Emma Sandmann finished with four kills, 11 digs and two aces. Katelyn Bond posted three kills, two digs and one ace. Bailey Spicer added seven assists and nine digs. Ellie Becker had six digs and one block. Katelyn Kennedy recorded three blocks and Clara Remacle had eight digs. 

Hanson stats were not reported.


Milbank 3, Waubay/Summit 0

MILBANK — Milbank swept Waubay/Summit in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-15 and 25-12. 

Leading Milbank was Addisyn Krause who finished with seven aces, four assists, and eight digs. Claire Snaza recorded 17 digs and Rylee Scoular recorded five aces, 23 assists and two blocks. Addison Pauli added 15 kills while Isabel Anderson recorded five kills. 

Liza Purdy led Waubay/Summit with four kills and 11 digs. JoZee Snyder finished with an ace, seven assists and seven digs. 


Menno 3, Howard 0

MENNO — Menno swept Howard in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-12 and 25-14. 

Menno’s Lexie McNinch finished with five kills, three blocks and two digs. Nora Robb posted five kills, five assists and 12 digs. Amanda Rames posted four kills and two blocks. Ellyana Ulmer added nine digs, one assist and one ace. Taylor Freier had three kills and 11 digs. Joslynn Fischer had 10 assists, four aces and three kills. 

For Howard, Tana Hoyer had seven kills and seven digs. Hannah Brown posted three kills and 11 digs. Reese Rudebusch posted 16 assists and five digs. Anna Becker recorded 10 digs. Halle Schulz logged eight digs. 


Clark/Willow Lake 3, Florence-Henry 1

FLORENCE — Clark/Willow Lake picked up a four-set win over Florence-Henry in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 17-25, 25-18, 25-22 and 25-22.

Florence-Henry’s Kyra Tschakert finished with 11 kills and four assists. Roean Raymer had eight kills and two aces. Elizabeth Reiter added six kills and four assists. Ashlynn Vavruska and Andie Rislov had 15 digs apiece. Vavruska had 46 assists and Ana Byer logged 14 assists. 

Clark/Willow Lake stats were not reported. 


Baltic 3, West Central 0

HARTFORD — Baltic defeated West Central in three sets in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-17 and 25-16.

Leading West Central was Cambree Ideker who finished with 13 digs, six assists and an ace. Madi Ingalls led with four kills while also adding a block, three assists and seven digs. Dawson Garry added two kills and four blocks.

Stats for Baltic were not reported. 


Brandon Valley 3, Brookings 0 

BRANDON — Brandon Valley swept Brookings in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 30-28, 25-13 and 25-15. 

Brandon Valley’s Abby Gruber finished with eight kills and three blocks. Jayaunna Stroh posted eight kills, 16 digs, two aces and one block. Mya VanWesten and Jayna James had nine and eight kills, respectively. Riya Sheley posted 15 assists and one block. Logan McGuire added 13 assists and two aces. Logan Torgrude had one block. 

Brookings stats were not reported.
