Bridgewater-Emery 3, Viborg-Hurley 0

EMERY — Bridgewater-Emery swept Viborg-Hurley in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-17 and 25-17. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Oakley Weber recorded 10 kills, 11 assists and 10 digs. Hayden Hofer finished with eight kills, 15 assists and 12 digs. Macie Weber added seven kills and 12 digs. Summer Koch recorded five kills and three blocks. Maizey Strombeck had 18 digs.

For Viborg-Hurley, Natali Blair finished with six kills, six assists and four digs. Addy Hath posted five kills and nine digs. Charley Nelson had 13 digs. Danica Gordan added five kills. Olivia Hanson had 17 digs and two assists. Jenna Graves recorded seven assists, 16 digs, two aces and two kills. Aubree Schwartz logged 10 digs. 


Northwestern 3, Ipswich 0

MELLETTE — Northwestern swept Ipswich in Thursday high school volleyball play. The set scores were 25-14, 25-12 and 25-15. 

Leading Northwestern was Ashley Haven who had seven aces, 12 digs and four assisted blocks. Ella Boekelheide finished with three aces and 20 assists while Breelyn Satter totaled three aces, five kills and three assisted blocks. 

Kaylin Onkin paced Ipswich with 10 kills and five digs. Marley Guthmiller had an ace, six kills, and six digs for the Tigers. 


Miller 3, Faulkton Area 1

MILLER — Class A No. 5 Miller defeated Faulkton Area in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 15-25, 25-20 and 25-14.

Miller’s Paige Werdel recorded 10 kills and two aces, while Gracen Werdel added eight kills. Kaihlyn Anderberg and Aleah Schlechter posted seven kills apiece. Schlechter recorded 15 digs. Olivia Resel added 32 assists. Gracen Werdel added 10 digs. Jolie Palmer added eight digs. Kate Lichty had six digs. Gracen Werdel added two blocks. 

Faulkton Area stats were not reported. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

HITCHCOCK — Class B No. 3 Hitchcock-Tulare swept Highmore-Harrold in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-5 and 25-13.

HT’s Katelyn Schroeder logged 12 kills, while Rebecca Huizenga added five kills. Lila Johnson and Gracyn Bixler had 13 assists apiece. Isabel Gilbert and Ella Johnson recorded four aces apiece. Cambree Hoekman had nine digs and Lila Johnson had nine and eight digs, respectively. Gilbert added two blocks. 

For Highmore-Harrold, Jada Baloun recorded eight kills. Brooklyn Baloun had 11 assists. Lainee Ping and Destiney McCauley had 12 digs apiece. 


Britton-Hecla 3, Redfield 0

BRITTON — Britton-Hecla swept Redfield in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-23, 25-14 and 25-16.

Britton-Hecla’s Abby Lee recorded 13 kills and three blocks, while Jaelee Grupe had seven kills and eight assists. Sterling Brassfield posted six kills. Heather Storbaken had 21 assists, five aces and eight digs. Daynika Zuehlke posted 22 digs. McKenna Heer posted four blocks.

For Redfield, Ceci Suchor had five kills, while Charli Jungwirth had three kills. Kinley Smith posted three aces. 


Madison 3, Vermillion 0

MADISON — Madison swept Vermillion in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-12 and 25-10.

Madison’s Lydia Nelson recorded nine kills and one block. Grace Feige posted seven kills. Ella Malone added nine aces and seven digs. Kate Johnson had four aces. Karley Theede added 23 assists. Jaya Engles posted seven digs.

Vermillion stats were not reported. 


Dakota Valley 3, Canton 0

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 3 Dakota Valley swept Canton in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-18, 25-20 and 25-21.

Dakota Valley’s Claire Munch recorded 15 kills and two blocks. Sammy Kimball logged 10 kills and 13 digs. Emerson Mead posted four kills, four blocks and three digs. Maddie Munch posted 30 assists. Jacee Squire logged six digs. Reagan Granstrom had 17 digs, two aces and four assists. Corine Kimball added eight digs. Aubrey Worden posted three kills, two blocks and one dig.

For Canton, Calli Halverson posted 10 kills, while Macy Plucker posted two aces, six kills and 11 digs. Cameryn Peterson posted 14 digs. Jenna Vande Weerd added five kills and three blocks. Lexie Kapperman had 18 assists. 


Sisseton 3, Deuel 0

CLEAR LAKE — Sisseton swept Deuel in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-22, 25-10 and 25-19.

Deuel’s Camdyn Peterreins had seven kills and three blocks. Alayna Carlson posted six kills and one block, while Emma Sattler had four kills. Kayden Russell recorded 11 assists, five digs and two aces. Braylin Kreger logged eight assists and six digs. 

Sisseton stats were not reported. 


Winner 3, Kimball/White Lake 0

WINNER — Winner swept Kimball/White Lake in Thursday night volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-20 and 25-16. 

Leading the Warriors was Keelie Kuil who had 12 kills and 16 digs. Gracie Root passed out 28 assists and had 14 digs. Adyson Pravecek and Cora Moss each had two aces while Lilly Barfuss had nine kills, two solo blocks and an assisted block. 

Elena Brenan led Kimball/White Lake with eight kills and four blocks. Rylee McCord finished with seven kills and Mariah Gosmire had 25 assists. Lindy Keihn and Sienna Gillen each had 10 digs. 



Sioux Falls Christian 3, Jackson County Central, Minn, 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class A No. 2 ranked Sioux Falls Christian downed Jackson County Central, Minnesota in three sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-14 and 25-12. 

Leading the Chargers was Brietta Tims who had 14 kills, two assists and nine digs. Jayla Overman had ten kills, an ace and a block. Addisen Barber had two aces and 37 assists while Aubree Van Beek and Chloe Bosma each had nine digs. 

Paylin Sether led Jackson County Central with five kills and three aces. 


West Central 3, Chamberlain 0

HARTFORD — West Central swept Chamberlain in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-13 and 25-14. 

Cambree Ideker paced West Central with eight kills, nine assists, 11 digs and two aces. Madi Ingalls finished with 10 kills, 11 assists, three digs and five aces. Avery Northdurf added four assists, 10 digs and three aces while Dawson Garry had five kills, a block and an ace. 

Stats for Chamberlain were not reported. 


Brandon Valley 3, Tea Area 0

BRANDON — Brandon Valley swept Tea Area in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-17 and 25-15. 

Brandon Valley’s Abby Gruber and Jayaunna Stroh finished with 13 kills apiece. Stroh added 10 digs. Mya VanWesten logged 20 digs and two aces. Ashley Ertelt and Kennedi Boomsma had three and two blocks, respectively. Logan McGuire recorded 21 assists and three aces. Riya Sheley posted 17 assists. 

Tea Area stats were not reported. 


Harrisburg 3, Huron 0

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 1 Harrisburg swept Huron in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-5, 25-17 and 25-7. 

Harrisburg’s Gabi Zachariasen finished with 11 kills, while Karalynn Leach and Bergen Stiff posted seven kills apiece. Stiff added five blocks. Zachariasen had two aces. Kennedy Kokenge had three aces, while Emma Masselink posted two aces. Josalyn Samuels had 31 assists and Maggie Meister posted 20 digs. 

For Huron, Addyson Knight finished with three kills and 10 digs. Jenice Goergen had five assists.
