Rapid City Christian 45, Hot Springs 7

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian jumped out to a 45-0 lead en route to a high school football win over Hot Springs on Friday.

Rapid City Christian’s Simon Kieffer completed 13-of-16 passes for 254 yards and threw four passing touchdowns, while he added a rushing touchdown. Lars Kieffer caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown reception. He also had a rushing touchdown. Benson Kieffer caught three catches for 111 yards and hauled in two touchdown catches. Benson Kieffer also booted a 25-yard field goal. Wes Schlabach added six catches for 84 yards and a score. Schlabach also broke the school record for career receiving touchdowns. 

Defensively, Malachai Maseman had 10 tackles, Braylon Marshall had nine tackles, and Schlabach had seven tackles and also had an interception. Victor Enriquez added two sacks. 

Hot Springs stats were not available.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 54, Chamberlain 14

MOUNT VERNON — A balanced offensive attack propelled Class 11B No. 5 Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a win over Chamberlain in Friday night football action. 

Quarterback Isaiah Olson completed 9-of-12 passes for 188 yards and four touchdowns. Riley Mayer hauled in five or those passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns. Kyle Sandland rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown while Olson tacked on 78 rushing yards and an additional score. 

Chamberlain picked up 26 rushing yards from Hunter Frederick and 20 from Brody Neilan who had a touchdown. Quarterback Brody Neilan completed 7-of-19 passes for 69 yards and a touchdown pass to Chase Knippling. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 39, Beresford 0

ELK POINT — Class 11B No. 3 Elk Point-Jefferson blanked Beresford in Friday high school football action. 

EPJ’s Anthony Tatro rushed for 129 yards on four carries and scored two touchdowns. Beau Schmitz added 67 rushing yards on seven carries and scored a touchdown. Ashton Fairbanks had a 31-yard rushing touchdown. Gunnar Ewing added 51 yards rushing on 11 carries. Keaton Gale completed 7-of-12 passes for 215 yards and two touchdown passes. Fairbanks hauled in five catches for 173 yards and two touchdown passes. 

For Beresford, Ashton Oberle completed 12-of-25 passes for 112 yards. Jax Fickbohm had 16 yards rushing and Malachi James added 39 yards receiving. 

 

Sioux Valley 48, Deuel 14

CLEAR LAKE — Donovan Rose powered Class 11B No. 2 Sioux Valley to a Friday high school football win over Deuel. The Cossacks rushed for 388 yards on 43 carries. 

Rose rushed for 255 yards on 17 carries and scored three rushing touchdowns, while he scored on an 86-yard kickoff return. Rose added seven tackles on defense. Jakob Guthmiller had 70 yards rushing on five carries and had a rushing touchdown. Brock Christopherson scored two rushing touchdowns. Maverick Nelson had 69 yards receiving. Brody Haaland posted eight tackles, while Christopherson had an interception. 

For Deuel, Gavin Kloos rushed for 63 yards on 13 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Gabe Sather added an 86-yard kickoff return for a score. Troy Jenson had 46 yards receiving and Aiden Sievers passed for 75 yards. Sather had eight tackles and an interception on defense.


Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 29, Wagner 13

WAGNER — Class 11B No. 4 Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central pulled away from Wagner for a Friday high school football win. 

WWSSC’s Holden Havlik completed 14-of-24 passes for one touchdown. Colby Flowers hauled in five catches for 86 yards and a touchdown reception. Tyson Eddy had 29 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown. Bryce Larson added 36 yards rushing and a rushing score. Hayes Havlik had 30 yards rushing. 

Defensively, Flowers posted 8.5 tackles. Sam Poncelow had an interception and blocked a punt. Grant Edwards added an interception.

Wagner's Carlos Galindo had a touchdown run and threw touchdown strike to Shea Kjeldgaard.


Parkston 48, Bon Homme 6

TYNDALL — Class 9AA No. 1 Parkston rolled up 479 total yards en route to a high school football win on Friday. The Trojans tallied 333 rushing yards. 

Kolter Kramer rushed for 129 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown. Mason Jervik added 86 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Carter Sommer was 5-of-7 for 96 yards and a rushing touchdown. Gage Reichert led Parkston with 13 tackles.

Bon Homme finished with 11 carries for 37 yards and a touchdown. He also recorded nine tackles. Landon Schmidt ran 16 times for 53 yards


Winner 58, Miller/Highmore-Harrold 7

WINNER — Class 11B No. 1 Winner amassed 387 yards rushing en route to a Friday high school football win.

Winner received rushing touchdowns from Zac Olson, Ryken Orel, Karson Keiser, Carter McKenzie, Gus Bartels and Andrew Henderson. Olson finished with 87 yards and Orel posted 76 yards. McKenzie added 70 rushing yards. 

MHH’s Derek Brueggeman passed for 132 yards. Isaak Hunter had 49 yards receiving and hauled in a touchdown reception. 


Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan 40, Baltic 0

BRIDGEWATER — Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan compiled 377 yards rushing and blanked Baltic in Friday high school football action. 

Macklen Weber finished with 130 yards rushing on 12 carries and scored a touchdown. Jaxx Kurtenbach rushed for 91 yards on 10 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns. Holden Wollmann scored a pair of rushing touchdowns. KJ Ripley added a rushing touchdown. Jason Zeeb posted seven tackles and Landen Brummett logged five tackles. 

For Baltic, Ben Erickson had 27 receiving yards and Ryker Rogers rushed for 19 yards on nine carries. 

 

Dell Rapids St. Mary 50, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0

LAKE PRESTON — A punishing running attack and stingy defense helped Class 9B No. 2 Dell Rapids St. Mary to a convincing win over Iroquois/Lake Preston in Friday night football. 

St. Mary’s quarterback Trimmier Hanson powered the Cardinal carrying the ball five times for 139 yards and a touchdown. Lincoln LeBrun added two rushing touchdowns to go along with 65 yards. Gavin Pica and Alexander Lindeman led the defense, each recording two tackles for loss. 

Ben Curd led Iroquois/Lake Preston rushing for 18 yards. Raysom Timm led the defense with four tackles including one for a loss.


Canistota 50, Sioux Falls Lutheran 14

CANISTOTA — Blaise Showers scored four touchdowns as Class 9B No. 5 Canistota defeated Sioux Falls Lutheran during high school football action Friday.

Showers had five carries for 79 yards and a touchdown while completing four of seven passes for 109 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Levi Schroeder tallied 100 yards and two touchdowns on five carries, while recording three tackles and a sack defensively. Brady Scott, Samuele Lotito, Easton Miller, and Levi Schroeder all caught touchdown passes, with Scott also throwing a touchdown pass in the win as well.

Sioux Falls Lutheran’s Cooper Ovenden had 14 carries for 124 yards and a score, Jake Hohn tallied 19 yards and a touchdown on three carries, while Callum Ovendon recorded six tackles in the loss.

 

Harding County/Bison 44, Timber Lake 12

TIMBER LAKE — Rylee Veal powered Class 9A No. 5 Harding County/Bison to a Friday high school football win over Timber Lake.

Veal rushed for 287 yards on 26 carries and scored five rushing touchdowns. Veal added two sacks on defense. Redmond Meyer added 40 yards rushing. Nayati Bickerdyke hauled in 41 yards receiving. Hayden Pihl completed 4-of-10 passes for 41 yards. Eugenio Martinez had 12 tackles and Colt Kopren had three sacks. Josh Cook and Kyle Stadler had interceptions.

For Timber Lake, Cole Ducheneaux completed 13 of 38 passes for 263 yards and threw two passing touchdowns. Ducheneaux added 62 yards rushing on 11 carries. Holden Gill added 86 yards receiving on two catches and caught a touchdown. Hudson Gill added 43 yards receiving and caught a touchdown pass. Brody Ellison caught three catches for 78 yards. Broc Bauer added 32 yards receiving. Bauer added an interception on defense. Holden Gill posted six tackles and Brayden Hansen had five tackles.

Britton-Hecla 22, Great Plains Lutheran 20

WATERTOWN — Jace Rein’s nine-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Zuehlke with eight seconds left and the ensuing two-point conversion lifted Britton-Hecla past Great Plains Lutheran on Friday.

Rein also threw touchdown passes to Dan Person and Mitchell Burger. Bryce Hawkinson led the Braves with 112 yards rushing. 

GPL’s Brody Scharlemann passed for 153 yards and a pair of touchdown passes to Lucas Johnson, and also ran for a touchdown.


Castlewood 52, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 0

CASTLEWOOD — Camron Eng powered Castlewood to a Friday high school football win.

Eng rushed for 269 yards on seven carries and scored seven touchdowns for Castlewood. 

Eng scored on runs of 68, 44, 35, 62, 15 and 49 yards and also returned a punt 57 yards for another score. Trevor Everson added 47 yards rushing and Brody Bass threw a 49-yard pass to Kamden Keszler.

Keszler and Bryon Laue each had five tackles and Paul Everson four. Keszler also intercepted a pass.

Boyd Pooler's 71 yards rushing paced ORR.


Hamlin 59, Redfield 0

HAYTI — Class 9AA No. 2 Hamlin used a 43-point second quarter to roll past Redfield in Friday high school football action. 

Evan Stormo scored on runs of 4 and 21 yards. Turner Stevenson scored touchdowns on a fumble recovery and a three-yard pass from Jackson Wadworth. Wadsworth contributed a 48-yard interception return for a score and also threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to Easton Neuendorf. Zac VanMeeteren added a touchdown run. Watson Grantham hauled in a touchdown pass from Boden Stevenson.

Wadsworth completed three of four passes for 71 yards. Dawson Noem had seven tackles. Stormo added two quarterback sacks.

Jackson Sandoz ran for 35 yards for Redfield.


Deubrook Area 44, Waverly-South Shore 6

WHITE — Ty Landmark rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns to power Deubrook Area to a high school football win on Friday.

Josh Moberg scored on a 96-yard run and also hauled in a seven-yard pass from Blake Hanson. Brady Gladis returned an interception for a score and also booted a 22-yard field goal.

Moberg ran four times for 99 yards and Hanson completed five of 11 passes for 63 yards. Sam Leen also intercepted a pass.

Waverly-South Shore scored on a touchdown pass from Zach Ries to Kyle Kneeland.


Tea Area 54, Mitchell 0

TEA — Tea Area racked up over 400 rushing yards as the Titans shutout Mitchell during Friday’s high school football action.

Dawson Eimers had three carries for 60 yards and two touchdowns while catching two passes for 43 yards and a score, Sam Werdel had eight carries for 76 yards and a score, Cole McKinney tallied 54 yards and a touchdown on six carries, while Mitch Grant had one rush for 95 yards. Daschle Lowery completed five-of-10 pass attempts for 91 yards and a touchdown, while Grant tossed a 12-yard touchdown on his lone pass attempt.

Mitchell’s Hudson Borgan tallied 33 yards on nine carries, Hunter Magee caught two passes for 11 yards. Borgan also led the Kernels in tackles in nine in the loss.


Sioux Falls Christian 42, Madison 0

SIOUX FALLS — Brayden Witte had four rushing touchdowns as Class 11A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian shutout Madison during Friday’s football action.

Witte carried the ball 14 times for 93 yards and four touchdowns, Jensen Pixler had 11 carries for 81 yards and caught three passes for 79 yards and a score. Lincoln Prins tossed two touchdowns in 18 pass attempts for 176 yards, while Cole Snyder tallied five catches for 62 yards in the win as well.

Madison’s Henry Veenhof tallied 19 yards on three carries, Cohen Hahn had 11 completions on 24 pass attempts, while Ben Brooks and Shane Veenhof each caught four passes for a combined 105 yards in the loss.
