Winner 3, Burke 0 

WINNER — Winner swept Class B No. 4 Burke in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-22 and 25-19.

Winner’s Livvy Audiss finished with seven kills, while Lilly Barfuss and Tessa Sieh had six kills apiece. Audiss, Gracie Root and Keelie Kuil had two aces apiece. Root dished out 26 assists. Sieh and Kuil had two blocks apiece. Root and Cora Moss had 11 digs apiece.

For Burke, Kailee Frank finished with 11 kills and three aces. Paige Bull added 10 kills and two blocks. Ava Sargent and Bridget Eliason had 10 and nine assists, respectively. Sargent added three aces. Addi Hood had two blocks. Kyrie Matucha posted 15 digs.


Corsica-Stickney 3, Freeman Academy/Marion 2

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney outlasted Freeman Academy/Marion in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-16, 16-25, 25-15 and 15-13.

Corsica-Stickney’s Sophie DeLange posted 28 kills, 12 assists, four digs, three aces and 5 1/2 blocks. Braylee Bordewyk added 13 kills, 23 assists, 10 digs, four aces and three blocks. Macayla Gerlach had seven kills and 11 digs. Cali VandenHoek posted 20 digs, five assists and two kills. Hadynn Johnson logged 21 digs, three assists and three kills. Remi Nelson and Paige Timmermans had nine and seven digs, respectively. Faith Plamp had five digs.

For FAM, Harli Ross logged 67 assists and 16 digs. Emma McConniel had 26 digs. Hailey Stahl added 18 digs and 11 kills. Kallie Johnson logged 15 digs and nine kills. Anna Olson had 12 kills, seven digs and five blocks. Maliyah Nankivel posted seven digs, eight kills, five blocks and two aces. Lanae Waldner had three kills. 


Colman-Egan 3, Arlington 2

COLMAN — Colman-Egan edged Arlington in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 19-25, 25-20, 17-25 and 15-11.

Colman-Egan’s Brynlee Landis logged 10 kills and 13 digs. Anna Zwart added nine kills, while Finley Luze posted eight kills, four blocks, 13 assists and three aces. Kaylee Voelker had 23 assists and 12 digs. Presley Luze had 25 digs and Elaina Rhode had seven kills. Michoen Williamson had three blocks. 

For Arlington, Sony Johnson had 33 assists and Rachel Steffensen posted 12 kills. Halley Miller added 11 kills and six blocks. Jaelyn Huntimer added 20 digs. Jaelyn Huntimer had 20 digs. Sony Johnson had one ace and two blocks. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Redfield 0

TULARE — Class B No. 5 Hitchcock-Tulare won in a straight set victory over Redfield in volleyball action Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-15, and 25-16.

Katelyn Schroeder had 12 kills, six aces, and seven digs, Rebecca Huizenga had five kills, Lila Johnson dished out 20 assists and six aces, while Gracyn Bixler had seven assists. Cambree Hoekman tallied nine digs in the win as well.

Redfield’s Charli Jungwirth had five kills, Hayden Gall tallied 10 assists, while Layla Hardie had four digs in the loss.


Miller 3, Aberdeen Roncalli 1

MILLER — Class A No. 4 Miller defeated Class B RV Roncalli in four sets Tuesday night. The set scores were 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, and 25-13.

Paige Werdel had 15 kills and four aces, Aleah Schlechter tallied 14 kills and 16 digs, Jolie Palmer had 22 digs and seven assists, Olivia Resel had 35 assists and 12 digs, while Gracen Werdel tallied seven kills in the win.

Roncalli’s Ava Hanson had 10 kills, McKenna O’Keefe had nine, Maddie Huber dished out 20 assists, while Morgan Helms led the team in digs with 10.


Flandreau 3, Florence/Henry 1

FLANDREAU — Flandreau defeated Florence/Henry in a four-set victory Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 28-26, 25-14, and 25-15.

Sadie Iott had 23 kills to lead the Fliers, Aly Schepel and Layla Latterall each had 14 assists, including 15 digs by Latterall. Morgan Kontz had 30 digs, while Olivia Peters led the team in blocks with two.

Florence/Henry’s Andie Rislov led the Falcons with 30 assists and 25 digs. Kaylee Vavruska also had 22 assists and 22 digs, Roean Raymer tallied 10 kills and five blocks in the loss.


Castlewood 3, Elkton-Lake Benton 1

ELKTON — Castlewood picked up a four-set high school volleyball match win over Elkton-Lake Benton on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-13, 9-25 and 25-22.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Andrea Renkly had nine kills and nine blocks. Malyha Stegers had 20 assists, while Charlie Thooft posted 10 digs and two aces. 

Castlewood stats were not reported. 


Hamlin 3, Great Plains Lutheran 1

WATERTOWN — Hamlin defeated Great Plains Lutheran in a four-set victory Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 24-26, 26-24, and 25-14.

Issie Steffensen led the Chargers with 33 assists, Addison Neuendorf had 13 kills and 23 digs, Addie Steffensen had three aces, 21 digs, and 13 kills, while Jo Steffensen tallied 18 digs and three aces as well.

Great Plains Lutheran stats were not reported.


Milbank 3, Deuel 0

CLEAR LAKE — Milbank swept Deuel in three sets in volleyball action Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-6. 

Leading Milbank was Addisyn Krause with six aces, 13 assists, 10 digs and a block. Claire Snaza finished with nine kills and two blocks while Siera Wenzl had eight kills and nine digs. Ella Sandvig led with 19 digs and Addison Pauli added six kills. 

Alayna Carlson led Deuel with 23 kills and two blocks. Ella Kerkvliet finished with 14 digs while Kayden Russell had six assists and eight digs.


Chester Area 3, McCook Central/Montrose 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 1 Chester Area defeated McCook Central/Montrose in straight sets during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-7, 25-6, 25-16.

Jacy Wolf tallied 11 kills, 12 assists, and five aces, Lily Van Hal had seven kills and dished out 17 assists, Emmerson Eppard had five aces and eight digs, while Gracie Huntimer led the Flyers in digs with 11. Emilie Bleeker also recorded two blocks.

MCM’s Ashtyn Deknikker tallied 12 digs, Mya Morrison had four kills, Avery Alley had six assists and six digs, while Maddy Lauck had three assists in the loss.


West Central 3, Tea Area 2

TEA — West Central clipped Tea Area in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 16-25 and 15-9.

West Central’s Madi Ingalls logged 13 kills, 12 assists and six digs. Dawson Garry added 10 kills, while Cambree Ideker posted six kills, 15 assists, five digs and five aces. Izzy McKinney logged four kills and two digs. Ella Harden and Addison Bartmann had four kills apiece. Avery Nothdurft posted 23 digs, five assists, three aces and three kills. 

Tea Area stats were not reported. 


O’Gorman 3, Brandon Valley 0

BRANDON — Class AA No. 2 O’Gorman swept Brandon Valley in straight sets in volleyball action Tuesday. The Set scores were 25-19, 25-23 and 25-19. 

Leading the Lynx was Abby Gruber who led with 12 kills and two blocks. Kennedi Boomsma added seven kills and a block while Riya Sheley and Logan McGuire each had nine assists. Mya VanWesten finished with 11 kills and an ace serve.

Stats for O’Gorman were not reported.


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Roosevelt 1

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 4 Sioux Falls Jefferson defeated Sioux Falls Roosevelt in four  sets in volleyball action Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 13-25, 25-17 and 25-21.

Leading Jefferson was Emory Brosnhan who finished with 11 kills, three aces and 13 digs. Liv Wachal finished with 26 assists and 13 digs while Peyten Krull and Isabel Simmons each had 10 kills. 

Stats for Sioux Falls Roosevelt were not reported.
