RAPID CITY — Brookings and Rapid City Stevens won championships at Saturday’s Rapid City Invitational. 

Brookings won the Gold Bracket title, sweeping Dickinson, North Dakota (25-17, 25-15) in the finals. Rapid City Stevens won the Silver Bracket championship, beating rival Rapid City Central (25-21, 25-14) in the finals. 

Mobridge-Pollock wins home invitational 

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock captured first place at the Mobridge-Pollock Invitational on Saturday. The Tigers defeated North Central (25-16, 25-22) and Stanley County (25-3, 25-19). 

Against North Central, Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson had five kills, three blocks and three digs. Raelyn Aberle finished with four kills and three digs. Ryli Thompson tallied four kills and three digs. Reagan Weisbeck added 18 digs. Katy Kemnitz posted nine assists and two digs. Sophia Overland logged six assists and four digs. Kemnitz and Overland had two aces apiece. 

Against Stanley County, Thompson recorded six kills, six digs and two blocks. Henderson added five kills and two digs. Aberle logged three kills and seven digs. Weisbeck notched 11 digs, six assists and two kills. Kemnitz finished with 12 assists and six digs. Overland logged six assists and three digs. 

Henderson, Thompson, Weisbeck and Kemnitz were named to the all-tournament team for the Tigers. 

Northwestern 3, Madison 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 3 Northwestern swept Madison in Saturday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-11, 25-16 and 25-15.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 15 kills, 18 digs, three blocks and two aces. Nicolette Nickeson and Payton Grandpre posted five kills apiece. Nickeson added three blocks. Ella Boekelheide finished with 19 assists, 12 digs, four blocks and two aces. Grandpre added 15 digs.  

For Madison, Amanda Vacanti posted eight kills and 26 digs. Karley Lurz finished with six kills, while Ella Peterreins had four kills. Karley Theede added 20 assists. Keara Wagner logged 15 digs and Callie McDermott added 13 digs. Kate Johnson posted two aces.

Miller 3, Potter County 0

MILLER — Miller swept Potter County in straight sets in Saturday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-10, 25-8 and 26-24.

Miller’s Shaylee Anderberg and Paige Werdel logged eight kills apiece. Gracen Werdel and Aleah Schlecter posted six kills apiece. Jolie Palmer posted four aces and 11 digs. Joanlei Baker. Journey Palmer and Anderberg posted two aces apiece. Heather Resel logged 31 assists and eight digs. Journey Palmer and Baker had six and four digs, respectively. 

For Potter County, Kayden Cronin logged eight kills and three blocks. Zoe Meinke added four kills and 15 digs. Finlee Heien had six assists and Taylyn Rausch logged three blocks. 

Harrisburg 3, Mitchell 0

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 1 Harrisburg swept Mitchell in Saturday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-13 and 25-13.

Harrisburg’s Gabi Zacharaisen posted 11 kills, while Karalynn Leach had eight kills and three aces. Bergen Stiff added seven kills. Lindsay Langner recorded 11 digs and three aces. Maggie Meister finished with 14 digs. 

For Mitchell, Lauren VanOverschelde recorded eight kills. Paige Guthmiller logged 10 digs.
