FAULKTON — Wolsey-Wessington defeated the Miller to capture the CSDC volleyball tournament Saturday. Miller had wins over Potter County and Sully Buttes to reach the title game. 

Miller 2, Potter County 0

Led by the hitting of Shaylee Anderberg (14 kills) and Paige Werdel (nine kills) the Rustlers got past Potter County Saturday morning. Josie Palmer and Journey Palmer both hit on 11-of–11 serves and combined for four aces. Heather Resei distributed 27 assists while Jolie Palmer (10 digs) and Joanlei Baker (nine digs) were the top passers. 

Miller 2, Sully Buttes 0

Against Sully Buttes Heather Resei hit on 64-of-64 sets on her way to 21 assists. Jolie Palmer finished with 10 serving points and three aces and 12 digs. Aleah Schlechter had 12 kills to lead the hitters while Aleah Schlechter chipped in with (11) and (5) kills respectively. 

Wolsey-Wessiongton 2, Miller 0

The Miller hitters were all firing in the championship match as Shaylee Anderberg (9), Aleah Schlechter (7), Paige Werdel (7) and Gracen Werdel (5) all contributed at net. Heather Resei finished with 28 assists on 108-of-109 attempts. Jolie Palmer led with two aces while Resei, Anderberg and Journey Palmer each had an ace. Jolie Palmer had 14 digs while Resei, Journey Palmer and Aderberg combined for 30 digs. 

Anderberg, Palmer, Resei and Schlechter were all named to the All-Tournament team. 

Rapid City Christian 2, Sioux Valley 0

SIOUX FALLS — Rapid City Christian swept Sioux Valley in the first round of the Sanford Pentagon tournament in Sioux Falls. Set scores were 25-18 and 25-16. 

Ana Ege led Rapid City Christian with ten kills while Faith King (9) and Lydia Williams (6) each played well at net. Moriah Coyle had 12 assists while Faith King had 11. Kendal Glassbrenner had two blocks while Faith King led with nine digs.

Rapid City Christian 2, Tea Area 0

SIOUX FALLS — Rapid City Christian swept Tea Area to earn a win at the Sanford Pentagon tournament in Sioux Falls. Set scores were 25-15 and 25-18. 

Ana Egge had 10 kills and a block to power the Chargers. Moriah Coyle had two aces while Sophie DeWitt, Chloe Weber and Faith King each had an ace. Faith King had 12 assists while Coyle added 11. DeWitt led with 12 digs while Egge and Weber each had had six. 

Harrisburg 3, Brandon Valley 0

BRANDON — Harrisburg swept Brandon Valley in straight sets to pick up a high school volleyball win Saturday. Set scores were 25-17. 25-23 and 25-15. 

Jersey Melcher powered Brandon Valley with five kills and three blocks. Abby Gruber added five kills and three blocks. Riya Sheley totalled 16 digs to lead the Lynx. 

Stats were not reported for Harrisburg.
