SEATTLE — Simeon Birnbaum did it again. 

The recent Rapid City Stevens graduate and multiple South Dakota state distance champion won another prestigious race on Wednesday.

The future Oregon Duck won the two-mile at the Brooks PR Invitational in eight minutes and :34.10 seconds, breaking the meet record by eight seconds. He edged Ashland, Missouri’s Connor Burns (8:34.33) for the win. 

Birnbaum won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs at this year’s Class AA state track and field meet.
