HURON — The Sioux Falls Christian boys took gold at Saturday’s state cross country meet at Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.

The Chargers took first place with 37 total points, just ahead of Hill City in second place with 47 points. Custer took third place with 62 points as well. It’s the seventh boys state cross country team title in SFC history.

Hill City’s Tate Grabow won the individual title with a time of 15:42.86, ahead of West Central’s Peyton Tetzlaff (16:18.56) and SFC’s Wesley Lyon (16:22.59). Belle Fourche’s Lennon Clarkson took fourth place with a time of 16:26.32 while Madison’s Dylan Gerdes rounded out the top-5 with a time of 16:42.95.
