Sioux Falls Christian girls shine at Vermillion Booster Club Meet

VERMILLION — Class A power Sioux Falls Christian was well represented at Thursday’s Vermillion Booster Club Meet. 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Rylee Punt won the pole vault, setting a new school record in the event at 11-6. 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Anna Vyn won the 800-meter run in 2:22.39, finishing eight seconds ahead of second-place finisher and Tea Area runner Jaycie Babb (2:31.78). 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Sadie Pettengill won the 1,600-meter run (5:19.32) and Corinne Braun won the 3,200-meter run (10:56.05).

The Sioux Falls Christian girls won the 800-meter relay (1:46.50), 1,600-meter relay (4:06.95) and the 3,200-meter relay (9:37.07). 

Dakota Valley’s Silja Gunderson won the 100-meter dash (:13.15), finished second in the 100-meter hurdles (:16.08), and placed fifth in the 200-meter dash (:27.85).

Centerville’s Emma Marshall earned the 400-meter dash (:59.82) and placed second in the 200-meter dash (:27.45).

On the boys side, Viborg-Hurley’s Luke Campbell won the 300-meter hurdles (:42.63) and placed second in the 110-meter hurdles (:15.51).

The Lennox boys won the 3,200-meter relay (8:44.29) and sprint medley (3:50.19).
