HURON — The Sioux Falls Christian girls ran away with its fourth consecutive team title at Saturday’s state cross country meet at Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.

The Chargers ended the race with just 13 points, ahead of West Central (70) in second place and Chamberlain (106) in third place.

SFC placed four runners in the top-5 including individual champion Ellie Maddox who finished the 5,000-meter race in 17:32.60. Flandreau’s Faith Wiese, last season’s individual champion, took second place with a time of 17:41.72. SFC’s Sadie Pettengill (17:54.82), Jerica Glasser (17:55.53) and Natalie Smith (18:02.59) rounded out the top-5 in the Class A girls race.
