Sioux Falls Lincoln’s J.T. Rock announced on Thursday he will reclassify to the Class of 2023 and will join the Iowa State men’s basketball program this fall.
Rock tweeted “I am excited to announce that I will be graduating from high school early and heading to Iowa State this fall. I will be joining the Men's Basketball program as a freshman. I am thankful for the unwavering support of my family always! #CyclONEnation let's get to work!”

Rock was a Class AA all-state first-team selection last season. The 7-foot-1 and 245-pound center averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game, while swatting 81 shots.
The 76th ranked player in the country according to 247sports.com, Rock also held offers from Creighton, Iowa, Purdue, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota State, West Virginia and Wisconsin in his recruitment.
He committed to Iowa State, which is coached by former SDSU coach T.J. Otzelberger, in January.
