SIOUX FALLS — The Sioux Falls Lincoln boys and Rapid City Stevens girls capture team titles at the 2026 state track and field meet.

The Lincoln boys ran away with the team title scoring 178 points, ahead of Brandon Valley (115) and Harrisburg (78.5). The Rapid City Stevens girls netted 111 points, ahead of Harrisburg (98) and Sioux Falls Lincoln (81).

Lincoln’s Zachary Matos won the all-class gold medal to claim the high jump title (6-10), while Dexter Johnson took fourth (6-04) to add five team points.

Ben Burchett scored two team points Saturday with a seventh-place in the 110-meter hurdles (:15.10).

Javon Haukaas won the all-class gold medal to score 10 team points in the 100-meter dash (:10.51), while teammate Zyan Conrad took third (:10.74).

Haukaas also earned the all-class gold medal in the 200-meter dash (:21.41) as well, while Conrad took second (:21.45)

Burchett, Evan Abild, Cooper Hicks and Haukaas won the 800-meter relay (1:27.18), winning the all-class gold medal as well.

Tyrus Needles (4:15.69) and Miles Lechtenberg (4:16.23) took fourth and fifth place, respectively, in the 1,600-meter run to add nine team points.

Preston Marty, Burchett, Hicks and Haukaas won the 400-meter relay (:42.23).

Abild took first in the 400-meter dash (:48.22), winning the all-class gold medal, while Zyan Conrad took second (:48.91) and Isaac Herrboldt collected a third place finish (:49.47).

Riem Riem earned seventh in the 300-meter hurdles (:41.58).

Everett Herrboldt, Isaac Herrboldt, Conrad and Abild won the 1,600-meter relay (3:20.27) and the all-class gold medal.

Gunnar Grant totaled a fourth-place finish in the shot put (52-04) for five team points for the Patriots as well.

On the girls side, Maya Khachikian won the all-class gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles (:14.20), adding 10 team points.

Ella Bradeen won the 100-meter dash (:12.01) for the Raiders. Bradeen also took seventh in the 200-meter dash (:25.74) for two team points.

Stevens’ Khachikian, Riley Willet, Sophia Guge and Bailey Holland took sixth place in the 800-meter relay (1:44.67) for three team points.

Evelyn Hurley finished third in the 1,600-meter run (4:58.85) for six team points.

Khachikian, Willet, Ava Holzwarth and Bradeen won the all-class gold medal in 400-meter relay (:47.52) for 10 team points.

Clare Ashley added five team points with a fifth-place finish in the javelin throw (126-06).

Ava Fessler (5-05) and Nora Fisher (5-03) combined for nine team points with a third and fifth-place finish in the high jump as well.
