HURON — The Sioux Falls Lincoln boys won its third consecutive team title at Saturday’s state cross country meet at Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.

The Patriots took the team title with 39 total points, ahead of Sioux Falls Washington (81) and Brandon Valley (124).

Brandon Valley’s Mikah Peters claimed his first-ever individual state championship with a time of 14:54.09, just ahead of Lincoln’s Miles Lechtenberg (15:02.03) and Tyrus Needles (15:15.18). Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Blake Maas tallied a time of 15:35.09 to take fourth while Sioux Falls Washington’s Cole Reilly came in fifth place with a time of 15:38.85.
